Northern Okinawa has been recently inscribed by UNESCO as World Natural Heritage under the auspices of the IUCN. However, the U.S. Navy base called Jungle Warfare Training Center is located adjacent to the designated area with its deployment of ospreys ousting endangered species. Military wastes are still there. It shows the political powerlessness of the Okinawans, the Indigenous people still oppressed by the majority in Japan as well as the governance problem due to the U.S. -Japan treaties. I think the international pressure after the inscription is essential. Facing many serious environmental problems in East Asia, the Indigenous perspective should be focused.

The University is to be established as an independent institution, with an appropriate status under the law of Korea. It will require such arrangements, incentives privileges and immunities as will facilitate the recruitment of international staff and the participation of faculty and students from all over the world. The University must be fully autonomous to ensure its intellectual and academic integrity and freedom from ideological constraints. The relationship with United Nations can be achieved without making the University an actual UN organization, through cooperation with UN agencies and organizations and participation of UN personnel in its faculty and programs. The core program centered at the University itself would be developed initially on the basis of the comparative advantage offered by its location in Jeju and the quality of faculty, full and part time, that could be recruited to the University. To reflect the complexity and range of issues in the field of sustainable development, it is planned that the academic program of the University should be organized from two mutually reinforcing perspectives, core competences underlying the whole program and specific areas of concentration.

네트워크와 기술의 발전을 통해 도래한 가상세계는 월드와이드 웹의 새로운 방향으로 제시되고 있다. 가상세계는 필연적으로 다양한 스토리텔링을 창발해내는 장으로 역할하게 되는데 본 연구는 이때 가상세계에서 나타나는 서사구조를 기호학의 관점에서 살펴보고자 한다. 먼저 생활형 가상세계와 게임형 가상세계로 가상세계를 유형화하고 개발자 스토리텔링과 사용자 스토리텔링이라는 상대적 관점에서 가상세계의 서사구조를 살펴본다. 이를 통해 이들을 포괄할 수 있는 목적지향적 서사구조를 제시하고 기존 기호학의 이론을 통해 고찰해본다. 마지막으로 목적지향적 서사구조에 의해 형성되는 가상세계의 스토리텔링과 그 의의를 살펴본다.

세계구조(체계)는 중국인 더욱이 중국법철학계가 당면한 문제를 인지하는 방식을 변화시키는 역사적 조건으로 인식되고 있다. 이러한 세계구조(체계)에서 중국법철학의 실질적 가치는 주체, 그리고 하나의 국제시스템의 형성과정에서의 중국관, 더 나아가 이러한 중국관을 통하여 주체적으로 세계체 계의 재구성에 주동적으로 참여할 수 있는냐에 있다. 이는 중국법치가 주체성을 견지하고, 동시에 적극적으로 국제적 담론에 참여하며, 서방가치의 맹목적 수용과 자국가치의 맹목적 추종간의 극단적 충돌을 피할 것을 요구한다.

The rapid expansion of China’s trade surplus since the mid-eighties and picking up until the onset of 2008-09 global financial crisis has been a key development in the world economy. While growing trade surplus of China has been viewed with cynicism borne out of an undervalued Yuan and for having being a member of WTO since 2001, many others argue that China’s trade surplus reflect changes in China’s economic and trade structure and associated shifts in its role within regional and global production chains. We address this issue by analyzing: (i) China’s growing and changing trade structure as well as changing structure of trade surplus with the rest of the world, USA, Europe, Japan and rest of Asia, (ii) China’s revealed comparative advantage (RCA) with the rest of the world, and (iii) how China’s trade policies resulted into a shift in China’s trade structure. We find that, not only China has made significant inroads in the world trade since its admission to WTO, but also there has been a noticeable shift in China’s trade structure with specialization in high-end technology industries wherein China’s exports aided by a well calibrated FDI policy.

전 세계적으로 인기를 구가하고 있는 블리자드사(社)의 "World of warcraft"의 서사구조를 살펴보았다. 서사학(narratology)과 게임학(Ludology)은 별도의 이론으로 존재하기 보다는 예술이라는 거대 담론 속에서 서로 상호적인 교류가 이루어져야 하며, 놀이의 환경 속에 게임의 룰이 접목되어 상호 융합되었을 때, 게임의 극적인 서사가 구성된다고 보았다. "와우"의 전체적인 서사구조와 퀘스트 및 PvP 혹은 일반적인 사냥에서 드러나는 부분적인 서사구조를 통해 "와우"가 지닌 폭발적인 인기의 힘을 살펴보았다. 게임에 숨겨진 선형적 오리지널 스토리와 멀티시나리오의 스토리 줄기에서 랜덤하게 드러나는 비선형적인 자유도에서 베어 나오는 이야기의 흐름은 "와우"가 지닌 서사의 특징이다.
