본 연구는 조직 구성원의 친사회적 동기가 조언 네트워크 내향중심성과 직무열의를 통해 개인성과에 미치는 영향을 검증하였다. 미얀마 양곤 소재 3개 쇼핑몰 직원 289명을 대상으로 자료를 수집하였으며, 분석결과 친사회적 동기는 조언 네트워크 내향중심성과 직무열의를 통해 개인성과에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 구체적으로, 친사회적 동기가 높은 구성원들은 더 많은 구성원들에게 업무관련 조언을 제공해주는 것으로 나타났으며, 동시에 자신의 업무에 대한 열의도 높은 것으로 나타났다. 친사회 적 동기는 이러한 두 가지 경로(관계적 측면 그리고 태도적 측면)를 통해 개인성과에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 자기결정이론을 바탕으로 친사회적 동기와 개인성과 간의 메커니즘을 실증적으로 규명했다는 점에서 의의가 있다. 또한, 방법론적 엄밀성 확보를 위해 본 연구에서는 매개변 수인 조언 네트워크 내향중심성은 타인보고식 측정으로 개인성과는 객관적 성과데이터를 활용하였다. 본 연구결과는 친사회적 동기의 중요성을 강조하고 인적자원관리영역에서 친사회적 동기를 활용하고 향상 시키기 위한 실무적 시사점을 제시한다.

본 연구는 미얀마 양곤 도심의 쇼핑몰 4곳에서 근무하는 523명의 구성원을 대상으로 정치적 기술이 리더-부하 교환관계(LMX)를 통해 개인성과에 미치는 영향을 검증하였다. 또한, 이 관계에서 팀 내 조언 네트워크 내향중심성의 조절된 매개효과를 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 정치적 기술은 LMX와 정(+)의 관계를 보였으며, LMX는 개인성과와 정(+)의 관계를 나타냈다. 정치적 기술은 LMX를 매개로 개인성과에 정(+) 의 관계가 있음을 보여줬다. 또한, 팀 내 조언 네트워크 내향중심성은 LMX와 개인성과 간의 관계를 정 (+)의 방향으로 조절하였으며, 정치적 기술이 LMX를 통해 개인성과에 미치는 매개효과를 강화하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 정치적 기술이 개인성과에 미치는 과정을 사회적 교환이론과 자원보존이론을 바 탕으로 설명하였다. 또한, 팀 내 수직적·수평적 관계를 통한 자원 획득의 중요성을 강조하였다. 이러한 결과는 조직 내 정치적 기술의 개발과 네트워크 형성의 중요성에 대한 실무적 시사점을 제공한다.

본 연구는 기본 욕구의 개인차에 따라 메시지에 담긴 행동을 추구하는 데 효과적인 메시지 제공자가 다른지 알아보고자 하였다. Haddock, Maio, Arnold, & Huskinson (2008)에 의하면, 감성 욕구(NFA)가 높은 사람은 정서 기반의 메시지에, 인지 욕구(NFC)가 높은 사람은 인지 기반의 메시지에 더 영향을 받았다. 본 연구는 이러한 기본 욕구의 개인차가 메시지뿐 아니라 메시지 제공자에까지 적용할 수 있으리라 생각했다. 예를 들면, 감성 욕구가 높은 사람은 전문가보다 의미 있는 타인에게 전달받은 메시지를 더 잘 수용할 수 있다. 이에 따라, 본 연구는 VR에서 개인별 건강 조언에 효과적인 메시지 제공자를 파악하고자, 개인의 욕구 (2: NFA, NFC), 메시지 제공자 (3: 전문가, 의미 있는 타인, 타인) 그리고 VR 착용 (2: Text, VR)에 따른 선호도와 일상생활 스트레스 관리에 대한 자기 효능감을 측정하였다. 실험 결과, 예상과 달리, 기본 욕구와 메시지 제공자의 특성에 따른 일치 효과는 발견할 수 없었다. 그러나, 감성 욕구가 높은 집단이 VR 건강 조언에 더 적합하다는 경향을 파악할 수 있었다. 본 연구의 의의는 VR 환경에서 개인의 맞춤형 메시지 제공자를 파악하고자 한 데 있다. 또한, 본 연구는 초기 단계의 연구로 추후 VR 환경의 건강 조언 연구에 기여하리라 예상한다.

Many instructors new to teaching English composition at the college level feel frustrated with what to teach and how to teach it. To learn about the context of support for these instructors, this small scale pilot study asked current ESL composition instructors in a large Midwestern research university to respond to a questionnaire aimed at revealing how experienced teachers give advice to new teachers. The participants included 16 experienced English composition instructors— eight teachers with five or fewer years of teaching experience and eight teachers with more than five years of experience. From each open-ended question response, emerging themes were coded and counted; additional data were qualitatively analyzed. Results showed that no differences in the number of themes per response were found between the two groups; however, similarities and differences regarding the orientation and content of advice given were found. Based on what was learned from this study, the researcher discusses how experienced teachers can better mentor new L2 composition teachers.

Park, Yong-Yae. 2018. “Advice Receiving in College EFL Writing Tutorials”. The Sociolinguistic Journal of Korea 26(1). 159~200. This paper explores interactional practices observed in advice receiving by the tutees in college EFL writing tutorials within the framework of conversation analysis. The data for the study include 24 audio-recorded writing tutorial sessions at a university in Korea. The findings indicate three types of advice receiving: 1) advice receiving with marked acknowledgments using a:: (‘oh’) to mark the advice to be informative and newsworthy; 2) advice receiving with unmarked acknowledgments; and 3) advice resisting. Advice resisting can be further divided into three types, that is, (1) making excuses, (2) complaining, and (3) disagreeing. In the first two types of advice resisting, the tutors' advice deals with various problematic areas in the tutee's writing, and the tutees resist advice by pointing out their inability to do what is advised or complaining about the complexity of the task. The third type, disagreeing, takes place when the tutees resist the tutors' advice on vocabulary choices. These resisting patterns seem to differ from those observed elsewhere (cf, Heritage and Sefi 1992) and reflect the nature of the tutorials and the particular tutees in this study. Finally, the study suggests some pedagogical implications on EFL learning and tutor training.
