This study was carried out to analyze conceptional structure between visitor's satisfaction and loyalty in the national natural recreation forests. The results of this study showed that facility, natural resources and view, staff service of recreation forest had positive effect on visitor's satisfaction. Reservation system, accessibility, and usage fee of recreation forest was not related to visitor's satisfaction. In addition, visitor's satisfaction was found to have positive effect on visitor's loyalty such as revisiting intention and word of mouth. As a result, managers of recreation forest need to enhance visitor's satisfaction, to improve rate of revisiting intention and to incite word of mouth through building management strategy.

This study evaluated readability by text design of self-guided signs in recreation areas to obtain basic information needed for enhancement of the readability. Data were collected from 401 visitors in the 'Neodeoulgung' area of Mudeung-San Provincial Park by questionnaire survey during October-November, 2004. This study used eight interpretive signs including four signs produced by imitating the existing self-guided signs in Mudeung-San Provincial Park(MPP) and Naejangsan National Park(NNP) and a sign designed by combining only the most appropriate text attributes. The results showed that a sign in NNP and a sign made up by combining only the optimal text attributes showed lower readability than other signs. It may be related with various influential factors on text readability such as text types, text weight, text familiarity, and text arrangement. Especially, the low readability of the sign produced by combination of only the most appropriate text attributes was unexpected. It suggests that text arrangement such as paragraphing, changing lines, and indent may affect readability. Management implications were discussed.

The need for recreation and green-tourism seems to be enhanced greatly according to increasing income and leisure. The rural area and village should be developed and improved with a new direction as basic areas for the green-tourism. This study developed a new methodology to be able to find suitable areas for recreation and green-tourism using GIS and RS. The eight criteria for suitability evaluation of recreation area extracted by GIS and RS techniques from computerized map layers and satellite images have their weighting values, which are quantified by AHP method. The new finding methodology was applied to a study area, the Ansung city in Kyunggi province. The results showed that the suitable area with high score for the recreation and green-tourism were analyzed spatially near by ancient culture and water resources. The new findings enable decision makers to analyze spatially the suitability area of the recreation area and village improvement for the green-tourism.

The expansion of demand associated with leisure, which has resulted from the elevated standard of living, has made the domestic tourist demand diversified. Recently, people, especially urban population, show the higher interest and need for environmentally friendly rural tourism. This study aims to grasp the utilization of recreation roles of tourist farms and then to evaluate the economic value for recreation roles of tourist farm using Traveling Cost Method. Data were collected from a survey in 2003. The results show that its value is 62,037 won per head annually and so the tourist farms play their role of connecting the urban population with rural amenity.
