Most caterpillars, the larvae of butterflies and moths(Lepidoptera), are herbivorous. Even though their major role in the ecosystem, details of biology are poorly known for most species. This study has been carried out to identify larvae and to acquire useful biological information of insect larvae through rearing from 1997 to 2015 in HECRI(Holoce Ecosystem Conservation Research Institution). From 2012, 2013, 2014 we are carrying out ‘Larvae Identification and Specimen Security of Primary Endemic Moths in Korea Peninsula through Rearing’ supported by National Institute of Biological Resources(NIBR). Of these this study is the list about special caterpillars feeding on the foliage wild peach (Prunus spp.) Total 209 species belonging to 15 families were collected and 52 species belonging to 13 families identified. Among them wild peach dependent monophagous caterpillars are 17 species belonging to 9 families, oligophagous 1 species belonging to 1 families and polyphagous 34 species belonging to 9 families. The dominant family is Geometridae(65 species), second is Noctuidae(57 species) and followed by Pyralidae(21 species).
This study was performed to determine the optimal month of harvest between May and July for wild peach (Prunus davidiana) by comparison of functional materials. The general composition, amino acid and vitamin (A, C, and E) content, and antioxidant activity were determined. With respect to the general composition of wild peach according to the month of harvest, wild peach harvested in May (HMP) and July (HJP) contained mostly carbohydrate, the contents of which amounted to 77.37 g/100 g and 77.92 g/100 g, respectively. The total amino acid content of HMP and HJP were 675.29 mg% and 573.25 mg%, respectively. Regarding the vitamin contents, vitamin A (retinol), E (α-tocopherol) and C in HMP were higher than those in HJP. The total polyphenol content of HMP (218.37 mg TAE/g) was higher than that of HJP (71.45 mg TAE/g). The total flavonoid content of HMP (64.95 mg RE/g) was also higher than that of HJP (32.67 mg RE/g). Moreover, the DPPH and ABTS radical scavenging activities (IC50) were higher in HMP (137.18 μg/mL and 157.15 μg/mL) than those in HJP (160.10 μg/mL and 186.01 μg/mL), meaning that the former produces better antioxidant effects. It can be concluded that wild peach harvested in May contained higher functional materials such as vitamins and amino acids and had a higher antioxidant effect, than wild peach harvested in july.
본 연구는 복숭아 유전자원의 유전적 다양성을 분석하여 육종의 기초 자료로 활용하기 위하여 재배 품종 및 국내에서 수집한 야생 복숭아 64점을 대상으로 SRAP, AFLP와 RAPD 분석을 수행하였다. 19종과 20종의 primer조합을 이용한 SRAP와 AFLP분석에서 각각 143개(26.7%)와 193개(27.2%)의 다형성 밴드를 획득하였고, 평균 다형성 밴드 수는 7.53개와 9.65개였다. RAPD분석에서 52종의 선발 primer를 이용하여 201개(45.9%)의 다형성 밴드를 얻었으며, 평균 다형성 밴드 수는 3.90개였다. SRAP, AFLP와 RAPD분석에서 획득된 537개의 다형성 밴드를 이용하여 UPGMA(비가중 평균결합) 방식으로 유사도 및 집괴분석을 수행한 결과 유전적 유사도 0.751을 기준으로 8개의 그룹으로 분류되었다. 복숭아 유전자원 간 유전적 유사도 값은 0.370~0.978의 범위로 평균 유전적 유사도는 0.737이었다. 가장 높은 유사도 값(0.978)을 나타낸 유전자원은 PH065와 PH066 간이었고 가장 낮은 유사도 값(0.370)을 나타낸 유전자원은 Prunus davidiana와 PH020간이었다. 본 연구에서는 이용된 64종의 복숭아 유전자원은 집괴분석 결과 유전자원들이 수집된 지역은 다르지만 유전적 다양성은 낮은 것으로 추정되었다.
