본 연구의 목적은 초등학교 고학년 학생을 대상으로 자기보고식 시험불안 척도를 개발하고 신뢰도와 타당도를 확인하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 시험불안과 관련된 선행 연구 및 기존에 개발된 초등학생용 시험불안 검사 도구의 문항, 학생 및 교사를 대상으로 실시한 설문조사와 면담 내용을 근간으로 하여 60개의 초기문항을 작성하였다. 작성된 초기문항을 8인의 전문가에게 의뢰하여 내용타당도를 검증받았으며 이를 토대로 29개 문항의 예비검사를 구성하여 이를 현장에 적용하였다. 예비검사 과정을 거쳐 17개 문항의 본 검사를 현장에 적용하고 분석하여, 최종적으로 3요인 15개 문항의 척도를 개발하였다.
This study was planned to develop a Test Anxiety Scale for upper grades of elementary school. The concept and the sub-factors of the test anxiety was defined with established test anxiety scales for elementary students and interview with the upper grades of elementary school who has suffered from the test anxiety and their teachers. The content validity of the initial questionnaire with 60 questions was examined by 8 professionals. Then, the first questionnaire with 29 questions were carried out for 475 students and the second questionnaire with 17 questions were carried out for 464 students. The results of this study are as follows. First, Test Anxiety Scale for the upper grades of elementary school consists of 3 factors with 15 questions : perception of the test situation (6 questions), emotions (4 questions), and academic achievement pressure from parents (5 questions). Second, Test Anxiety Scale was verified by reliability analysis and validity analysis. In conclusion, the test anxiety scale for the upper grades of elementary school appears to be a reliable and valid measure to identify the higher grade students of elementary school. And this scale is significant because of reflection the test anxiety symptoms of elementary students and education, society and culture environment of Korea. Also, this scale will be great helpful in the prevention and management of test anxiety for the upper grades of elementary school.
