본 논문은 저소득 독거노인의 건강상태 및 주거상태와 우울, 행복감 간의 관련성에 대해 연구했다. 2021년 한국복지패널조사(16차) 응답자인 65세 이상 저소득 독거노인을 연구대상으로 삼았다. 자료분석방법은 주요 변수에 대한 빈도분석 및 기술통계, 상관분석, 경로모형 분석을 수행했다. 연구 결과, 첫째, 노인의 행복감은 다른 연령집단과 비교하여 낮은 수준임이 확인되었다. 둘째, 객관적 건강상태는 주관적 건강상태 에 영향을 미치고, 주관적 건강상태는 우울에 직접적 영향을 미치면서 건강만족감을 통해 간접적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 건강만족감은 행복감에 직접적 영향을 미치면서 우울을 통해 간접적 영향을 미치고 있었다. 셋째, 주거상태는 우울에 직접적 영향을 미치면서 주거만족감을 통해 간접적 영향을 미치 고 있었고, 주거만족감은 우울과 행복감에 직접적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 연구결과를 바탕으로 본 연구에서는 저소득 독거노인의 우울감 감소 및 행복감 증진을 위해 건강 및 주거문제를 해소할 수 있는 정책과 실천방안을 모색했다.
This paper studied how health and housing conditions are related to depression and happiness of low-income elderly who live alone. As for the study subjects, the study looked at the low-income elderly over the age of 65 living alone who responded to the 2021 Korea Welfare Panel Survey (16th). As for the data analysis method, the study performed frequency analysis, descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and path model analysis for major variables. The results were as follows. First, it was confirmed that the elderly showed a lower level of happiness when compared to the other age groups. Second, objective health status affected subjective health status, and subjective health status directly affected depression and indirectly affected health satisfaction. In addition, health satisfaction had an indirect effect through depression while directly affecting happiness. Third, housing conditions had an indirect effect through housing satisfaction while directly affecting depression, and housing satisfaction was found to have a direct effect on depression and happiness. Based on these results, the study sought policies and practical measures that might help solve health and housing problems, reduce depression, and improve happiness among low-income elderly living alone.
