Kong Na-hyung, Ju Hyang-a, Gim Joo-sung, Sohn Dong-wook and Son Hyun-jung. 2013. Study on the Korean language education policies for foreign migrant workers based on the accessibility to the educational facilities. The Sociolinguistic Journal of Korea 21(3). This study focuses on the problem of Korean linguistics as social integration policy for foreign migrant workers. Particularly, we look into Korean Immigration & Integration Program(KIIP) to find out how foreign migrant workers can learn Korean language more effectively. In order to analyze the actual conditions of Korean language education for the foreign migrant workers, we adopt linguistic typological methods using Geographic Information System(GIS). Using GIS, we present the spread of the foreign migrant workers population and educational facilities enforcing the KIIP program. We also show some possibilities to improve the educational environment for foreign migrant workers such as the flexibility of class schedules, revision of textbooks and compensation of government. Kim Ha-soo, Ju Hyang-a, Son Hyun-jung, Kong Nah-yung. 2012. Geographic Information System(GIS) and sociolinguistic factors- study on the information of Korean language education. The sociolinguistic Journal of Korean 20(2). pp. 185-211. In sociolinguistic research, it has been found that linguistic phenomena are influenced more by extralinguistic factors than intralinguistic ones. In particular, issues such as language policy, language contact, langage extinction and language variation are strongly affected by geographical characteristics of the region where a language is being used and taught. In order to analyze linguistic phenomena and geographical characteristics synthetically, we introduce linguistic typological methods using Geographic Information System (GIS), an automated system for the capture, storage, retrieval, analysis and display of spacial data. Using GIS, we present some maps of the geographical distribution of foreigners living in Korea and the educational institutions of Korean language for foreigners in order to discuss the regional conditions for Korean language education in these areas. We also examine married immigrant women's accessibility to multi-cultural support centers with GIS.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the relation of nutrients intake and copper status between nonvegetarian female college students and lacto-ovo-vegetarian female college students. The height, weight and serum copper concentrations were determined. Food nutrients analysis procedure was made by computer using food composition table. The results was summarized as followed; 1) Mean values of weight & height were respectively 53.58±1.68㎏·157.05±1.43㎝ in nonvegetarians and 51.23±1.45㎏·156.65±1.24㎝ in lacto-ovo-vegetarians. 2) The average intakes of protein, fat, carbohydrate, fiber, Ca, P, Fe and Vit. C were above the RDA in the two groups, but those of calories was below the RDA in non-vegetarians. Especially, fiber and iron intakes were significant in the two groups(p<0.01, p<0.05). 3) The percentage of iron absorption was 7.64% in nonvegetarians and 5% in lacto-ovo -vegetarians. 4) Mean serum copper values of nonvegetarian and vegetarian were 107.08±14.39㎍/100㎖ and 113.31±20.86㎍/100㎖, respectively.
