월악산국립공원 송계계곡에 발달되어 있는 소나무림에서 2011년 5월부터 2012년 4월까지 지상부와 지하부 생물량, 낙엽생산량, 낙엽층의 낙엽량, 그리고 토양의 유기탄소 분포를 조사하였으며, 탄소수지를 파악하기 위해 토양호흡량을 측정하였다. 지상부와 지하부 생물량에 분포되어 있는 유기탄소량은 각각 52.25, 14.52 ton C ha-1 이었으며, 낙엽층과 토양의 유기탄소량은 각각 4.71 ton C ha-1, 58.56 ton C ha-1 50cm-depth-1 로 조사되었다. 조사지 소나무림의 전체 유기탄소량은 130.04 ton C ha-1 이었으며, 이중 51.4%가 식물체에 분포하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 소나무림에서 연간 광합성을 통하여 식물체에 고정된 유기탄소량은 4.26 ton C ha-1yr-1이었고, 층위별로는 교목층, 관목층, 초본층에 각각 4.12, 0.10 및 0.04 ton C ha-1yr-1의 유기탄소가 고정되었다. 조사기간 동안 낙엽생산을 통해 임상으로 유입되는 유기탄소량은 1.62 ton C ha-1 이었으며, 토양호흡을 통하여 방출되는 탄소량은 6.25 ton C ha-1yr-1으로 이중 미생물호흡과 뿌리호흡을 통해 방출되는 탄소량은 각각 3.19, 3.06 ton C ha-1yr-1이었다. 유기탄소 순 생산량과 미생물호흡량의 차이로 추정했을 때 본 소나무림에서 연간 대기로부터 순 흡수하는 유기탄소는 1.07 ton C ha-1yr-1 로 조사되었다.

English language teaching in elementarγ school was proposed and is now in practice on the basis of the Critical Period Hypothesis which is also theoretically supported by innatists who argue that UG begins attrition around puberty and that language acquisition becomes increasingly difficult beyond this period. This was proved true of first language acquisition and naturalistic SLA, but no evidence has been known about instructed second language leaming in formal education. Elementary school ELT is supported by some parents who wish their children to leam this world language effectively, but the educational environment is far from utilizing the leamers' UG: few teachers are capable of providing authentic input, so the leamers depend on their general intelligence and leaming strategy rather than UG. It is suggested that high school age is optimum for utilizing leamers' motivation, intelligence, and leaming strategy.

An unrecorded alien species plant, Phalaris paradoxa L. (Poaceae) was found in Andeok-myeon, Seogwipo-si, Jeju island, Korea. It is native to the Mediterranean region of Europe, and it is currently found worldwide. Phalaris paradoxa is distinguishable from related taxa (P. arundinacea, P. canariensis, P. minor and P. arundinacea var. picta) in Korea by the following combination of characterstics: spikelets in clusters (the upper central fertile spikelet surrounded by six lower sterile spikelets), wing of the keel. This taxon was named ‘Nal-gae-ca-na-ri-sae-pul’ in Korean based on its character. We provide its description, illustrations, photographs and a key of related taxa in Korea.

The rapid increase of naturalized plants causes disturbance of the ecosystem. The purpose of this study is to identify the reality of naturalized flora in Jeolla-do. A total of 830 sites were studied in 2016. These naturalized plants consisted of 189 taxa in total, belonging to 38 families, 116 genera, 181 species, 2 forms and 6 varieties. According to the results of the analysis based on place of origin, 75 taxa were from Europe, and 59 taxa were from North America. According to the analysis of the ecological characteristics, compositae had the highest diversity among 31 families, with 44 taxa, followed by Gramineae, with 24 taxa, and Leguminosae, with 10 taxa. Naju-si had the highest diversity among 36 counties, with 77 taxa. This study identified 37 (Jeollanam-do) and 30 taxa (Jeollabuk-do) not listed in the preceding literature in Jeolla-do. We found a lots of differences between flora's databases of previous studies resulting from the naturalized plant definition.
