본 연구에서는 기존에 알려진 구리 전구체와 새롭게 개발된 전구체인 hfac (hexafluoroacetylacetonate) Cu(I) DMB (3,3-dimethyl-1-butene)를 비교 평가해보았다. (Hfac)Cu(I) (DMB)의 증가압은 40˚C에서 3 torr 정도로 기존에 잘 알려진 (hfac)Cu(I) vinyltrimethylsilane (VTMS) 보다 10배 정도 높은 것으로 나타났으며 그럼에도 불구하고 상당히 안정하여 65˚C에서 일주일 이상 가열하여도 변하지 않았다. 이 전구체로 100-280˚C에서 구리 박막을 증착할 수 있었으며 150-250˚C온도 범위에서 2.0μΩ-cm의 순수한 구리 박막을 얻었다. 구리 박막의 증착 속도는 기존의 전구체보다 7~8배 정도 높은 것으로 나타났다.

Galactic open clusters NGC 1907 and NGC 1912 are known as a binary cluster candidate by Subramaniam et al.(1995). With the SNUO 0.6m telescope, UBV CCD photometric observations were performed for 62 stars in NGC 1907 within the area of 8′×8′ 8′×8′ and 203 stars in NGC 1912 within the area of 15′×15′ 15′×15′ area. We obtained C-M and C-C diagrams. Their mean reddenings are E(B-V) = 0.50±0.03 0.50±0.03 for NGC 1907 and 0.27±0.03 0.27±0.03 for NGC 1912. The distance moduli are estimated as 10.9±0.15 10.9±0.15 and 10.4±0.10 10.4±0.10 for NGC 1907 and NGC 1912, respectively. The ages for these clusters are 400±50Myr 400±50Myr for NGC 1907 and 150±30Myr 150±30Myr for NGC 1912. The distance difference of the two clusters is 300pc and the age difference is 150Myr. These results imply that the two clusters are not physically connected.

We observed impact spots on Jupiter which were formed by the collision with fragments of Shoemaker-Levy 9 comet during the period from 17 July to 13 August, by using the SNU 61cm reflector combined with CCD camera and DBVRI filters. In order to get more clear image of impact spots, the observed data were processed by the unsharp masking method, high-pass filtering method and Richardson-Lucy algorithm after the basic processing through IRAF package. The sizes of impact spots range from 2000km to 1000km, and from this size, the original size of comet fragments before collision with Jupiter is estimated to be less than ∼3km ∼3km . From the observed rotating rate of impact spots, the rotational period of Jupiter is determined as 9h 9h 56m 56m 32s 32s at the southern latitude of 47∘∼49∘ 47∘∼49∘ .

원거리 플라즈마 화학증착법을 이용하여 저온에서 이산화규소박막을 제조하였다. 본 연구 에서는 공정변수인 기판의 온도, 반응기체의 조성 및 분압과 플라즈마 전력에 따른 산화막의 재료적인 물성을 평가하였다. XPS결과에서 산화막은 양론비(O/Si=2)보다 약간 적어 실리콘이 많이 함유된 막으로 나타났다. 이 경우 굴절율과 ESR분석에 의해 미결합된 실리콘의 양이 증가함을 알 수 있었다. SIMS분석에 의해 미량의 질소성분이 계면에 존재하는 것과 실리콘 미결함을 관찰하였다. FT-IR로부터 막내 수소량을 정량화하였으며 결합각 분포는 200˚C이상에서 열산화막과 비슷한 값을 얻었다. 하지만 열산화막에 비해 높은 식각율을 보여 계면 스트레스에 의해 막내의 결합력이 약해진 것으로 생각된다.

"Smart window"에 코팅재료로 쓰이는 thermochromic Vo2박막을 전자빔 증착 방법으로 유리 기판위에 증착시켜 0˚C-90˚C 온도범위에서 가시광 및 근적외선의 투과율을 spectrophotometer로 측정하였다. 300˚C의 기판온도와 400˚C 어닐링 온도가 VO2 박막이 결정화되기 때문인 것으로 확인되었다. 또한, VO2박막을 알곤중에서 어닐링하면 500nm이하의 파장에서는 그 투과율이 상당히 낮아지는 것으로 나타났다. W가 5a/0첨가된 V0.95W0.05O2박막은 약 0˚C의 천이돈도를 나타내었고 Sn이 0.5a/o V0.995W0.005O2박막의 경우에는 300˚C의 기판온도에서 증착한 후 450˚C/5시간 동안 알곤가스 중에서 어닐링하였을때 뚜렷한 thermochromism을 나타내었으며 이 박막의 천이온도는 실용가능한 온도인 약 25˚C로 발견되었으며 약간의 이력곡선이 나타났다.력곡선이 나타났다.

We developed a real-time CCD photometric program for IBM PC compatibles. This program can perform several functions necessary for CCD photometry such as telescope control. filter rotation, CCD camera control and data acquisition, two-dimensional image processing, simple aperture photometry and automatic differential photometry. The image processing of a spiral galaxy M51 observed with the SNU 61cm reflector shows a well developed spiral structure. Simple aperture photometric results of 14 stars in open cluster NGC 6871 almost accorded with those from IRAF/APPHOT. And we could confirm the light variation of eclipsing binary EM Cep by simultaneous automatic differential photometry of 7stars in NGC 7160. Due to the excellence in the precision and efficiency of automatic differential photometry using CCD. this program is very useful for the study of small amplitude δ δ Sct type variables and of the photometric stability of B ∼ ∼ F type stars.

The Automated Eichner Iris Photometer(AEIP) at the Korea Basic Science Center was tested for its function and the proper procedure for photographic photometry. The AEIP requires about three hours for reaching the electrical stability. When the iris is controlled automatically, the repeatability of density unit (DU) is accurate in the uncertainty of (0.0028∼0.0048 0.0028∼0.0048 )DU. The iris reading is found to be accurate within the mean error of 0.m05 0.m05 , which could be reduced to 0.m02 0.m02 by the manual control. To check the applicability of the AEIP. each two photographic plates for UBV colors which were taken by Dupuy and Zukauskas(l976) for the open cluster Byur 2, were measured by using the AEIP. and the photographic magnitudes and colors of the stars in Byur 2 were determined. discussing the previous results.
