Apristus Chaudoir is one of the genera in the tribe Lebiini Bonelli (Coleoptera: Carabidae). This genus is morphologically similar to Anomotarus and Syntomus of Lebiini. However, Apristus can be distinguished from the other genera by having a combination of the following characteristics: basal pronotum with distinct posterior angles in dorsal view; tarsal claws smooth without denticulate or pectinate. A total of 61 species of Apristus are distributed worldwide and only one species, Apristus striatus Motschulsky has been known in the Korean peninsula. As results of taxonomic studies on Korean Apristus species, we discovered a newly recorded species, Apristus cuprascens Bates of Apristus. A key to the Korean Apristus species, photographs of diagnostic characteristics and illustrations of male genitalia are provided.

The genus Oberea belongs to the tribe Saperdini (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae) and contains about 270 described species in the world. The genus can be defined by the combination of the following characters: body elongate, cylindrical; legs very short, apex of hind femur not reaching beyond abdominal sternite II. O. vittata Blessig was reconfirmed its distribution in South Korea during the study. Two species are newly reported here: O. heyrovskyi Pic and O. tsuyukii Takashi & Ohbayashi. We provide a revised checklist of 12 species and a pictorial key to species for the identification, with diagnostic characters of O. heyrovskyi and O. tsuyukii.

The genus Eutetrapha belong to the subfamily Lamiinae of the family Cerambycidae was established in 1884 by Bates, based on a new species, Eutetrapha variicornis Bates, 1884 (= Saperda sedecimpunctata Motschulsky, 1860). Until now, the genus has been known only from Asia, and two species, Eutetrapha metallescens (Motschulsky) and Eutetrapha sedecimpunctata (Motschulsky) are presented in Korea. In this study, we report one species of the genus, Eutetrapha ocelota (Bates), for the first time from Korea with key to the Korean Eutetrapha species, short descriptions, and photographs.

The genus Alucita Linnaeus, 1758 belongs to the family Alucitidae, which is well known as the many- or multi-plumed moths. Up to date, 186 species have been recorded from the world (Gielis 2003). In East Asia, the genus Alucita L. has been investigated by various researchers to date: 5 species from Japan (Hashimoto 1984); 3 species from Russian Far East (Ustjuzhanin 1999). Recently Byun (2006) reviewed the Korean Alucitidae with a new species and two new records from Korea. However, it has been poorly known from China, including only one species, Alucita niveodactyla Pagenstechen from Guangdong, southern part of China (Hua 2005). In the present study, we found a new species of the genus Alucita L. from the Northern part of China. The purpose of this study is to describe the new species, Alucita baihuashanensis sp. nov.
