In 1997, the Kyoto Protocol was established as the first global treaty imposing legallybinding targets on the developed countries, imploring countries to curb greenhouse gases emissions from 2008 to 2012. In 2012, the Doha Amendment was agreed upon to extend KP for seven more years, from 2013 to 2020. However, it is not yet in force due to lack of ratification. The UN is trying to build a new international climate change system to succeed KP, which will encompass both the developing countries and the developed countries after 2020. The US, China, the EU and Japan are the four largest GHG emitters. Through the first period of KP, the international climate change system became an international political and economic network, creating new paradigms for energy resources, ways of life, carbon market, and economic development, et cetera. This article will show some of the underlying political and economic dynamics and responses of those four countries and Korea around the Post- KP negotiations.

We have used bulked segregant analysis to screen the strain-specific DNA marker associated psychrophilic strain of Pleurotus eryngii. Bulked genomic DNAs of Pleurotus eryngii were amplified by randomly amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) using OP-A, OP-B, OP-L, OP-P, OP-R and OP-S primers to screen the strain-specific DNA marker. A unique DNA fragment of 490 bp was amplified with OP-L18 primer from the psychrophilic strain and sequenced. A sequence characterized amplified region (SCAR) marker was designed on the basis of the determined sequence and named as OP-L18-1. The PCR analysis with the OP-L18-1 primer showed that this SCAR marker clearly distinguish the psychrophilic strains from the control strains.

We have used bulked segregant analysis to screen the strain-specific DNA marker associated thermophilic strain of Pleurotus eryngii. Bulked genomic DNAs of Pleurotus eryngii were amplified by randomly amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) using OP-A, OP-B, OP-L, OP-P, OP-R and OP-S primers to screen the strain-specific DNA marker. A unique DNA fragment of 500 bp was amplified with OP-A11 primer from the psychrophilic strain and sequenced. A sequence characterized amplified region (SCAR) marker was designed on the basis of the determined sequence and named as OP-A11-1. The PCR analysis with the OP-A11-1 primer showed that this SCAR marker clearly distinguish the psychrophilic strains from the control strains.

Effects of metal chelating agents and metal ions on the volatile substance of cooked oil with chicken and pork mixture meat were examined by chemical analysis and sensory test. The addition of Na-tripolyphosphate(Na-TPP) to chicken and pork mixture meat increased the amount of H_2S among volatiles evolved during cooking but decreased that of volatile carbonyl compounds(VCC). This treatment enhanced meat flavor in cooked oil with chicken and pork mixture. It was recognized that the increase in H_2S evolution was caused by the rise of pH value. On the contrary cupric ion produced a negative effect on the production of chicken and pork mixture meat flavor and this addition increased VCC and TBA value. Other metal chelating agents such as citric acid, phytic acid and EDTA, provided the same results as Na-TPP. It was supposed that these phenomena were attributable to the chelating action to metal prooxidant in mixture meat. It could be concluded that a proper evolution of H_2S and protection against lipid oxidation during cooking were important to produce an excellent chichen and pork mixture meat flavor.
