        Capital mobilization is a traditional business of commercial banks and is one of the core foundations for the development of a bank. Capital mobilization is the main input in the operation of a bank, and this is also the basis for generating output for credit activities as well as other banking activities. This study aims to determine the main factors that affect the decisions of individual customers to put savings deposit in Vietnamese commercial banks. Survey data collected from 403 individual customers were analyzed to provide evidence. The results from the multiple regression analysis by using SPSS software revealed that all scales in this study were reliable, and there were six components impacting the savings deposit decision of individual customers from the strongest to the weakest in the following order: the form of promotion, bank brand, service quality, interest rate policy, and employee knowledge and attitude. Besides, the finding showed customers who have high income tend to have a stronger decision on savings deposits in commercial banks. The main findings of this article provide some empirical implications for marketers in banks and serve as a suggestion to improve these factors in order to retain and attract individual customers’ savings deposit decisions.

        This paper investigates the potential impact of external factors on bid/no-bid decision for supervision consultant service on construction project in Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam. The data used in this study are secondary data taken from annual reports and sourced from the Department of Public Procurement, Ministry of Planning and Investment in Hanoi. Besides, to identify the impact of external factors on bid/no-bid decision for supervision consultant service on construction project in Hanoi, the study collected data from 272 qualified questionnaires from bidders doing business in Hanoi. Cronbach’s Alpha, EFA and regression model are used to explore the impact of each independent variable on bid/no-bid decision for supervision consultant service on construction project. The results show that three external determinants, including Project characteristic (PC), Legal codes (LC) and Competition (C) are affecting bid/no-bid decision for supervision consultant service on construction project in Hanoi. Among them, Project characteristic (PC) and Legal codes (LC) have positive relationships with bid/no-bid decision for supervision consultant service on construction project, whereas Competition (C) negatively affects bid/no-bid decision for supervision consultant service on construction project. It means the more contractors actually participate in a bid, the less bid/ no-bid decisions are made.

        The study seeks to identify factors affecting the choice of a university by first–year Business Administration students in Vietnam. Probability sampling is using Stratified sampling of 500 students from five private universities in Ho Chi Minh City surveyed by convenience sampling. This paper employs mixed research methods – measuring Cronbach's Alpha, EFA, Regression and using PATH model – to test the hypotheses of the research model. The results of the study identify five factors: Prestige, Geographical location, Facilities, Attractiveness of the field and Media. All these factors have a positive influence on the standing of the university brand. It means that the higher the Prestige, Geographical location, Facilities, Attractiveness of the field and Media, the higher the university brand. The results indicate that Geographical location is the most influential factor to enhance the private university‟s brand. Bringing Geographical location is, thus, advisable to enhance a university standing. The brand plays a determining role in students' trust when selecting a university. Media is still the top concern of new students when they choose to study at a university. Media still remains an important consideration for new students when choosing a university. So, this factor should be utilized by universities to enhance their attractiveness.

        The paper aims to examine the factors affecting brand and student decision in buying fresh milk. Combining qualitative and quantitative research methods, this study used self-completed questionnaires to investigate 520 students in Ho Chi Minh City. The results of the study show that that there are five key determinants affecting the dairy brand and student decision in buying fresh milk, including: (1) product quality, (2) fair price, (3) product promotion and customer services, (4) product convenience, and (5) reference group’s attitude to the brand. In addition, it is also found that product brand has a direct and positive impact on the student decision. The finding in this study is quite different from other existing literatures in terms of the importance level of the determinants of the student decision in buying fresh milk; specifically, in deciding to buy their fresh milk, students are often interested in the promotion and customer service, the product convenience, and the reference group for the purchase, more than in the quality and price of the product. From these findings, some managerial implications are proposed for policy-makers and relevant enterprises to have appropriate policies and strategies for their business development.

        The study aims to investigate factors influencing business households’ decision for borrowing credit: the case of commercial banks in Tra Vinh Province, VietNam. The study was conducted by collecting data from 300 business households traded at four commercial banks in Tra Vinh province (Viet Nam bank for agriculture and rural development, Tra Vinh Branch; Viet Nam jointstock commercial bank industry and trade, Tra Vinh Branch; Asia joinstock commercial bank, Tra Vinh Branch; Viet Nam jointstock commercial bank for foreign trade, Tra Vinh Branch). By the use of the Binary Logistic regression method, the research found out that the factors influencing to borrow credit of household business’s decision including: banks brand names, loan interest rates, service attitude, and loan procedures. Of those, the banks brand names and lending interest rates have the strongest impacts on borrow credit decision of business households at commercials banks in Tra Vinh province. Since then, the study has proposed solutions to improve access to credit of business households in commercial banks in Tra Vinh province in the coming time, such as: developing a bank brand; the development of flexible lending interest rate policies; improve service style of bank staff; at the same time, simplifying lending procedures.

        Purpose - Present study aimed at investigating the factors that may affect consumers' decision confidence and decision comfort inducing choice commitment taken place at the stage of post-decision/pre-outcome. This study explored whether there are positive effects of dominance and instrumentality of chosen product on the decision confidence, and also identified whether there are positive effects of choice easiness and goal achievement-related affect felt at the chosen product on the decision comfort. Research design, data, and methodology – Portable digital camera as experimental product was used. 260 data were collected from college students. Four were removed from the analyses because they did not complete the questionnaire. Eighteen were removed because they indicated not experiencing the camera in the past. 238 data were used at the analyses to verify hypotheses by structural equation model in AMOS 21.0. Results - First, both of the consumers' decision confidence and decision comfort positively affected choice commitment. Second, the dominance as well as the instrumentality had positive impact upon the decision confidence. Third, the choice easiness and goal achievement-related affect felt at the chosen product had positive impact on the decision comfort. In sum, present study identified the mediation roles of the decision confidence in the effects of both dominance and instrumentality of the chosen product on forming choice commitment, and also found the mediation roles of the decision comfort in the effects of choice easiness and goal achievement-related affect felt at the product on forming choice commitment. Conclusions - Focusing on the stage of post-decision/pre-outcome in decision making process, present study contributes to advancing the choice commitment theories by exploring the positive effects of both dominance and instrumentality of chosen product on the decision confidence, and by finding the positive effects of both choice easiness and goal achievement-related affect felt at the chosen product on the decision comfort. Marketers should promote their products’ dominance and instrumentality by showing the superior roles of their product attributes in achieving consumption goal, and should help consumers feel comfort by making choice process easier and giving information that could help feel the goal achievement-related affect at their product chosen.

        여객선은 선박사고가 발생을 하게 되면 인명의 피해로 직결되기 때문에 선장의 순간적인 결정이 매우 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 선박의 이상증후가 발생하였을 때 선박 및 승객대피 의사결정을 위한 주요요인을 정량적으로 분석하고 의사결정에 있어 기초 자료를 제공하고 자 하였다. 8개의 주요요인에 대하여 전문가 설문조사를 실시하였으며 계층분석방법(Analytic Hierarchy Process: AHP)을 이용하여 가중치를 선정하고 우선순위를 결정하였다. 그 결과 가중치가 가장 높은 주요요인은 전복(횡경사 발생)이었으며, 그다음이 화재/폭발로서, 의사결정에 있어서 가장 큰 영향을 미칠 수 있다. 추후 세부 설문조사를 실시하여 유효수를 높여 신뢰도를 향상시킬 것이며, 본 결과는 선박과 승객대 피 의사결정의 주요요인을 결정하는 기초자료로 활용 될 것이다.

        Purpose – The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between customer trust and intention to return to the traditional market by using empirical analysis. Research design, data, and methodology – For the empirical analysis of this study, questionnaires were conducted for adults and over 20s. A total of 200 questionnaires were distributed to consumers with experience in traditional markets, and 163 of them were used for empirical analysis. In order to analyze the relationship between customer trust and return visit intention by consumers visiting the traditional market, variables were selected through 10 constructive concepts and revised based on previous studies. The SPSS for win 18.0 was used for data analysis. Results – In order to clarify the relationship between consumer's visit to traditional market and customer's trust, it was found that the tolerance values of both the visiting factors and the consumers' perceptions of traditional markets were higher than .01. In the relationship between visitor's visit to traditional market and customer's trust, price was positively related to customer trust at 0.1% level. Image, product quality and freshness of traditional market were 5% Positive effects were found. These results show that consumers who visit traditional markets gain customer's trust in price, image, product quality and reliability of traditional market. Conclusions – In this study, the results of this study are as follows: First, the effect of customer trust on customer satisfaction is affected by the image (emotion) consumers feel about traditional market, the trust level about the price of goods offered by the market, The confidence level of freshness, the reliability of consumers' connection with the local economy, the consumer's traditional marketplace, and the level of awareness of the service (kindness) of the variables on the independent variables. As a result of the analysis, it was found that among the influence variables of customer trust used in this study, consumers had a high level of confidence about the price of commodities offered by the market, quality of goods, and freshness, The same relationship, market environment such as hygiene or cleanliness, connection with a local economy, service (kindness) of traditional market did not affect consumers' trust in traditional markets.

        IT기술 진보로 인하여 국내 복화운송(Street Turn) 시스템도 많은 발전을 거듭하고 있지만 복화운송 물량의 증가로 귀결되지 않고 있다. 이러한 측면에서 본 연구는 기존 복화운송 시스템을 사용하고 있는 사용자 입장에서 시스템을 이용하게 하는 의사결정 요인을 제시하는데 연구의 목적이 있다. 퍼지계층분석(Fuzzy-AHP)을 이용하여 국내 복화운송을 사용한 경험이 있거나 해운기업에 종사하고 있 는 경력자를 대상으로 분석을 실시하였다. 총 5개의 대요인과 17개 세부 요인을 추출하였으며, 연구결과 대요인으로 적시성 요인이 가장 중요한 요인이며 그중 정보제공 시기(0.207)가 가장 중요한 요인으로 선정되었으며, 다음으로 플렛폼 이용 프로세스(0.079), 참여 화주의 수 (0.074)가 뒤를 이었다.

        최근 중국 내 경영환경 급변으로 인한 새로운 환경 하에서 한국기업의 중국시장에 진출 현황을 분석하고 한국기업의 대중국 직접투자에 영향을 미치는 요인들을 확인하여 대중국 직접투자 건수로 종속변수를 설정하였으며 독립변수는 시장규모, 환율, 임금수준, 물가의 4개 주요요인을 사용하였다. 통계패키지는 SPSS20를 이용하여 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과에 따라 시장규모, 환율의 변수들이 주로 예상된 부호를 가지고 해외직접투자에 정(+)의 효과를 나타냈을 뿐만 아니라 매우 유의성이 있는 변수로 추정되었다. 이러한 결과는 시장규모, 환율이 클 수 록 한국의 대중국 직접투자가 증가하게 된 것으로 판단할 수 있다. 물가, 임금은 예상대로 부(-)의 부호를 나타냈으며 물가와 임금수준의 낮을 수록 한국기업의 대중국 직접투자가 증가해 보 였다는 결론이 나타냈다.

        본 연구는 항만배후단지 개발 및 임대방식의 변화를 겪고 있는 인천신항 항만배후지를 대상으로 하여, 기업 관점에서 고려하는 배후단지 입주결정요인을 도출하고, Fuzzy-AHP를 통해 입주결정 요인에 대한 우선순위를 분석하여 향후 인천신항 배후단지의 진입을 활 성화하기 위한 방향을 제시하고자 하였다. 인천신항 배후단지 입주 결정요인들의 종합적인 가중치 순위를 평가하면 비용요인인 임대료 수 준이 10.2%로 가장 높은 순위를 차지하였다. 다음으로 시장요인인 항만의 처리물동량이 8.2%, 배후시장의 규모가 7.3%, 비용요인인 내륙 운송비 절감이 7.1%, 입지요인인 내륙교통 운송망과의 연계성이 6.7%, 자유무역지역의 지정 및 규모가 6.4% 순으로 나타났다. 인천신항 배후단지 입주를 결정할 기업측면에서 보면 임대료 수준을 타 지역 항만의 배후지에 비교하여 매력적으로 제공할 필요성이 있다. 또한 수 도권 화주의 가장 큰 고민 사항인 내륙운송비를 절감하고, 인천항에서 미주 및 구주항로로 직접 연결할 수 있는 항로개설이 필요하다.

        Since prolonged exposure to elevated ozone (O3) concentrations is known to be harmful to human health, appropriate control strategies for ozone are needed for the non-attainment area such as Seoul, Korea. The goal of this research is to assess factors linked with the 1-hour ozone exceedance through a decision tree model. Since ozone is a secondary pollutant, lag times between ozone and explanatory variables for ozone formation are taken into account in the model to improve the accuracy of the simulation. Results show that while ozone concentrations of the previous day and NO2 concentrations in the morning are major drivers for ozone exceedances in the early afternoon, meteorology plays more important role for ozone exceedances in the late afternoon. Results also show that a selection of lag times between ozone and explanatory variables affect the accuracy of predicting 1-hour ozone exceedances. The result analyzed in this study can be used for developing control strategies of ozone in Seoul, Korea.

        Purpose - The purpose of this research was to suggest purchasing decision factors through understanding the context of purchasing behavior and to figure out variables related to purchasing decision, purchasing cognition, and attitude. Research design / data / methodology - By random sampling, 200 consumers who are over 20, have purchased Digital‧home appliance on TV home shopping, and have lived in the Seoul area were chosen as sample subjects. Questionnaires data were obtained from all subjects by self-administration method. Results - Result of analysis could be summarized as following. Analysis of the cognition of digital/home appliance product features, and influence of digital/home appliance product feature to purchasing intention are presented in the following order; price (3.50), diversity (3.10), brand (3.00). Also, analysis of the cognition of TV home shopping feature and influence of TV home shopping feature to purchasing of digital/home appliance are presented in the following order; awareness (3.63), safety of delivery (3.38), safety of transaction (3.28), product test (3.27). Conclusions - Purchasing attention of TV home shopping features presented difference in awareness, safety of delivery, safety of transaction, and product testing factors. In order to vitalize home shopping, impossibility of quality confirmation should be overcome and reinforcement of brand power should be considered

        Relative importance of maritime transport that takes charge of main current of freight in country' economy is very large. Especially, port and facility carry out important role which treats freight of import and export smoothly and improves international trade as turning point, to achieve key role on connection and association between sea and land. For such reason, enlargement of port facilities or development of port needs to grasp exactly the utilization of port, attributes and selective factors of shipper. On the other hand, the amounts of physical distribution on Mokpo port located in Korean west coast are increasing, with fast economic growth of East Asian including China. This study uses discrete choice model that is measuring to analyze attribute and characteristic of Mokpo port, and analyzes port selection by decision factors of shipper. This paper composed a questionnaire using the result of preceding research, to decide port selection factor among competitive ports. Through factor analysis on a basis of the questionnaire' result, five principal components were extracted. These are resorted out by Logit model, to grasp competitive elements of port. This research fin present direction which raises competitive power of ports in west coast of Korea, especially on alternative and concentration of middle-class port as Mokpo may be useful.

        우리나라의 정유회사인 현대 및 인천정유, LG-Caltex, S-oil, 그리고 SK의 탱커 선대구성도 국제 주요 정유회사의 그것과 유사하게 자사 소유 텡커선을 줄여 용선을 증가시키고 있고 용선형태도 정기용선 방식에서 스팟(spot)용선을 선호함으로써 원유운송시 소유 탱커선에 비하여 용선비율을 점차 증가시키는 추세에 있다. 국내외 주요 정유회사가 1980년대 이후 원유운송을 그들의 소유선박보다도 용선에 의존하는 비율이 증가하고 있는 이유는 무엇일까\ulcorner 그리고 정유회사는 어떤 요인에 의하여 자사 소유 탱커선보다도 용선에 의하여 원유운송을 하는 것일까\ulcorner 본 연구의 목적은 국제 주요 7대 정유사의 선대구성의 변화를 분석하여 국내 정유회사를 연구대상으로 하여 위의 문제제기에 대한 답을 구하는데 있다. 다시 말하면, 본 연구의 궁극적인 목적은, 먼저 정유회사가 원유 원산지로부터 원유운송을 위한 탱커 선대 구성에 영향을 미치는 요인을 도출한 뒤, 그 요인들 중 어느 것이 어떻게 국내정유회사의 탱커 운송 로지스틱스에 영향을 미치고 있는가를 실증적으로 연구하는데 있다. 본 연구에서는 상기 실증적 연구에 앞서 선행연구로서 탱커 운송 로지스틱스에 영향을 미치는 의사결정 요인들을 도출하기 위한 논의와 방법론적 과정을 다루고자 한다.
