        후지 사과의 CA 저장 효과를 생리화학적으로 구명하기 위해 저장 조건에 따른 에틸렌과 이산화탄소 생성 및 이들의 연관성 그리고 과육경도와 과피색의 변화를 조사하였다. 저장 산소농도가 낮을수록 ACC oxidase 활성이 억제되어 내부 에틸렌 농도가 낮게 유지되었다. 특히 1% +l% 조건에서는 내부 에틸렌 농도가 1 ppm 이하로 유지되었으며 저장 후 2의 air에서도 거의 변화가 없었다. 에틸렌 생성에 고농도 이산화탄소의 영향은 구성 산소농도

        As strait As a result of the quality research of liner boards used for the national-made corrugated boxes for apples, basis weight of each sample passed its tolerance within 4%. We found that KA, WLK, and SC liner boards showed better in relative bursting strength. SC, WLK, KA, and SK performed better in relative compression strength. WLK201 and KA210 were good for the outside liner, and K2200 was adequate for medium and inside liner. we classified WLK and KA liner boards as A grade and others as C grade.

        In order to find effective linerboard compositions for the corrugated fibreboard containers for apples, we have evaluated the strength and the cost effectiveness of the various linerboards and corrugated fibreboard containers. From the results, we suggest SC240, WLK210 or SK180 for the outer liners, M180 to M250 for the mediums, and K2200 or Al80 for the inner liners, respectively. Furthermore, we recommend two cost effective types of corrugated fibreboard compositions, SC240/S120/S120/M160/A180 for the white face liners, and SK180/M180/S120/M180/A180 for the color face liners. Evidence has been presented to support the conclusion that the new high compression strength corrugated fibreboard containers have better performance in the compression and bursting strength tests, while reducing material costs by thirty four percents.

        This study was conducted to estimate the shelf-life of 'Fuji' apples (Malus domestica Borkh) after CA storage. Apples stored In 1%O2+3%CO2, 2%O2+3%CO2 and 3%O2+3%CO2 at 2 and 4 for 8 months were stored in air at 10, 80-85% RH for 16days. As a result of objective analysis, apples stored at 2 wert mort effective in retarding the loss of weight flesh firmness, titratable acidity and peel color than those stored at 4, but not the loss of soluble solid. Among storage atmospheres, 1%O2+3%CO2 at 2 was more effective in retarding the loss of flesh firmness and green color than other atmospheres. Shelf-life of apples kept at 2 estimated above 16 days. The contents of acetaldehyde and ethanol were not observed tn make large difference between storage conditions, but ethanol content of apples stored in 3%O2+3%CO2 at 4 was Increased slightly for 16 days. According to sensory evaluations, apples stored at 2 were significantly harder, juicier and more acid than chose stored at 4. Particularly, high scores of apples stored in 1% and 2%O2+3%CO2 at 2 Persisted for 16 days. Juiciness, hardness acidity and sweetness were related to the flesh firmness and titratable acidity. Overall acceptability was closely related to juiciness and hardness.

        This study was conducted to determine the effects of storage conditions on apples treated with postharvest fungicides, benomyl and bitertanol. The fungicideds were applied to control Postharverst disease in apples during CA and cold storage. The stored Apple were tested monthly for weight loss, flesh firmness, titratable acidity, prix and free sugar. Relative to the control group, the pstharvest fungicide stoup had less disease. The fungicide treated apples stored in CA had a higher measured weight, better firmness and maintained acidity, prix and free sugar when compared to the control stoup monthly and after 200days. The fungicide treated apples in cold storage maintained their quality for 120days.

        This study was carried out for the establishment of optic harvest date and storage condition of 'Fuji' apple for CA storage. Apples were picked at 10 day intervals from 17 Sept to 27 Oct.. Apples were analyzed for respiration rata, weight flesh firmness, titratable acidity, soluble solid, total sugar, reducing sugar, surface color and thiault value. In 1990, the optimal harvest season could be judged between 17 Oct. and 27 Oct. from the results of respiration rate rise and change of quality properties. Apples harvested on 27 Oct. wert stored at 2 and 90~95% RH in 1%O2 + 3%CO2, 3%O2 + 3%CO2 and air for 9 months. After 9 months of storage, apples kept in CA storages had beater quality than apples kept in refrigeration storage. Especially, apples kept in 1%O2, + 3%CO2 were fumer and more acid than those kept in 3%O2 + 3%CO2 At the sensory evaluations, apples stored in CA were rated higher quality than apples stared refrigeration.
