해안지역은 육지와 물이 상호작용하는 독특한 특징이 있어 사람들이 자연환경을 육체적 및 정신적으로 향유하고 체험하도록 유도하며, 이는 문화생태계서비스(이하 문화서비스)를 형성한다. 문화서비스가 가장 많이 이루어지는 해안지역은 해수욕장이다. 본 연구 의 목적은 1) 해수욕장에서 얻는 문화서비스의 경제적 가치를 추정하고, 2) 편익이전법을 이용하여 가치를 전국 해수욕장으로 확장하는 것이다. 선행연구를 심층적으로 검토하여 문화서비스를 관광·휴양, 경관·심미, 교육, 유산, 영감 등 다섯 가지 범주로 나누었다. 관광·휴양, 경관·심미, 교육 서비스는 선택실험법을 통해 가치를 추정하였다. 선택실험법의 속성은 보전기금, 쓰레기, 수질, 바다 경관, 주변지역 경 관, 생물종다양성이며 11곳의 해수욕장 방문자를 대상으로 한 온라인 설문조사를 통해 자료를 수집하였다. 유산과 영감 서비스는 지출액 을 묻는 시장재화법으로 가치를 평가하였다. 도출한 가치는 전국의 257개 해수욕장으로 편익이전하여 평가하였다. 연구결과는 해수욕장 에 대한 연안침식과 개발에 따른 복원, 공공투자 여부와 투자 규모에 대한 정책 결정을 위한 근거로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.
본 연구는 생태계 모델을 이용하여 부산연안으로 유입되는 부하량 삭감에 따른 해역의 수질개선 정도를 예측하였다. 모델링 결과에 의하면 COD, T-N, T-P 모두 수영만 연안과 낙동강 하구에서 뚜렷한 개선을 나타냈으며, 수영만을 제외한 만 중부에서 만 동쪽까지 는 수질개선이 거의 나타나지 않았다. 이는, 부산연안이 남해에 위치한 다른 해역에 비해 개방형경계를 가지고 있어서, 물질교환이 빠르 기 때문으로 판단된다. 수질개선을 위한 본 해역의 삭감 COD 부하량은 타 해역에 비해 적었고, 총 유입부하량에 대한 삭감비율 또한 작게 나타났다. 본 연구에 적용한 부하삭감량을 적용하면 수영만, 낙동강 하구부근에서 뚜렷한 수질개선효과를 얻을 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.
Coastal fisheries in Korean waters have highly complexity with a variety of fishing gears, and scale of those fisheries is smaller than that of offshore fisheries. As a result, important spawning and nursery grounds for many species of fish has been destroyed. The pragmatic ecosystem-based approach was developed for the assessment of fisheries resources in Korean waters by Zhang et al. (2009; 2010). As for the species risk index (SRI), common squid caught by coastal gillnet in the Uljin region had the highest risk. As for the fisheries risk index (FRI), coastal gillnet in the Uljin coastal waters had the highest risk. For the common squid which had the highest SRI, resources management strategies must be established such as catch prohibition of length and period with TAC. For the coastal gillnet in the Uljin region which had the highest FRI, it is judged to need management plans for conserving biodiversity as reducing the catch of non-target species and discards. Also to protect existing habitat, illegal fishery should be prohibited, and fishing gears should be designed in the environmental-friendly way considering when fishing gears lost.
To investigate seasonal variation of fisheries resources composition and their correlationships with environmental factors in the coastal ecosystem of the middle Yellow Sea of Korea, shrimp beam trawl were carried out for the fisheries survey. Fisheries resources of 81 species, 57 families, and 6 taxa totally were collected by shrimp beam trawl in the middle coastal ecosystem of Yellow Sea of Korea. Species were included 6 species in Bivalvia, 6 in Cephalopoda, 22 in Crustacea, 2 in Echinodermata, 5 in Gastropoda, and 40 in Pisces. Diversity indices (Shannon index, H') showed seasonal variation with low value of 2.14 in winter, and high value of 2.67 in spring. Main dominant species were Oratosquilla oratoria, Octopus ocellatus, Acanthogobius lactipes, Cynoglossus joyneri, Rapana venosa venosa, Loligo beka, Chaeturichthys stigmatias, Raja kenojei, Microstomus achne and Paralichthys olivaceus, that were occupied over 58% of total individuals, and 55% of wet weight. Fisheries organism made four coordinative seasonal groups by the principal component analysis (PCA), showing stronger seasonal variation than spatial variation. PC from PCA showed statistically significant cross-correlationships with seawater temperature, NH4-N, TP and chlorophyll a (P 〈 0.05).
This paper was studied CO2 respiration rate with physicochemical properties of soils at wetland, paddy field and forest in Nongju-ri, Haeryong-myeon, Suncheon city, Jeollanam-do. Soil temperature and CO2 respiration rate were measured at the field, and soil pH, moisture and soil organic carbon were analyzed in laboratory. Field monitoring was conducted at 6 points (W3, W7, W13, W17, W23, W27) for wetland, 3 points (P1, P2, P3) for paddy field and 3 points (F1, F2, F3) for forest in 10 January 2009. CO2 concentrations in chamber were measured 352∼382 ppm for wetland, 364∼382 ppm for paddy field and 379∼390 ppm for forest, and the average values were 370 ppm, 370 ppm and 385 ppm, respectively. CO2 respiration rates of soils were measured -73∼44 mg/㎡/hr for wetland, -74∼24 mg/㎡/hr for paddy field and -55∼106 mg/㎡/hr for forest, and the average values were -8 mg/㎡/hr, -25 mg/㎡/hr and 38 mg/㎡/hr. CO2 was uptake from air to soil in wetland and paddy field, but it was emission from soil to air in forest. CO2 respiration rate function in uptake condition increased exponential and linear as soil temperature and soil organic carbon. But, it in emission condition decreased linear as soil temperature and soil organic carbon. CO2 respiration rate function in wetland decreased linear as soil moisture, but its in paddy and forest increased linear as soil moisture. CO2 respiration rate function in all sites increased linear as soil pH, and increasing rate at forest was highest.
Large scale of fish kills by red tides has been occurred every year in coastal water fisheries of Korea. To suppress red tide spreading out over the south coastal water of the Korean Peninsula large amount of loess has been applied every year because loess is known to be effective in removing red tide organisms. Effects of loess application in ecosystem of underwater near sea shore were investigated with some physical characteristics of loess. Loess used for the red tide reduction consisted of very fine particles, of which size was mostly less than 0.1㎜. Particles of loess blocked light penetration, which is essential for the underwater ecosystem. Loess also pushed pH down by the hydrolysis activities of aluminium and iron. It was found that underwater ecosystems where loess was applied near sea shore were devastated. Sea plants such as sea weeds were gone leaving only their roots. Clams and snails were dead under the loess dust blanket. And fishes were not found at all where loess has been sprayed for long time. It was found that even if loess has some capacity to reduce red tide temporarily, loess application should be stopped to protect underwater ecosystems.
