Mid-sized manufacturing companies, which account for 0.7%(5,480 companies), 13.8%(1.169 million persons) of total employment, and 15.7% of total sales, have recently experienced a lot of difficulties in management activities due to the impact of COVID-19, the U.S.-China trade war, and the collapse of global supply chains. To overcome this, revitalization of quality management activities to strengthen corporate competitiveness is emerging as an urgent task. In order for these quality management activities to achieve their intended purpose, the positive leadership of corporate managers is very important above all else. There have been many studies related to positive leadership, but most have focused on charismatic leadership and transformational leadership centered on large companies or small and medium-sized enterprises. Therefore, this study aims to present ways to strengthen the leadership of managers by empirically analyzing how the positive leadership of managers of mid-sized manufacturing companies, which was relatively under-researched, affects quality management activities and Business performance(Balanced Score Card; BSC).
This study attempted to provide implications by analyzing the impact of business Owner’s safety commitment on industrial accidents and examining the mediating role of management supervisors’ safety leadership and worker participation. Analysis was conducted on 2,067 manufacturing sites with 20 to 50 employees in the 10th Occupational Safety and Health Survey data. SPSS waw used to secure the reliability of the measurement variable. Hypothesis vertification was carried out after securing the suitability and validity of the structural model using AMOS. The direct impact of three latent variables on industrial accidents was confirmed: the business owner’s safety commitment, the management supervisor’s safety leadership, and the worker participation. The employer’s safety will and the management supervisor’s safety leadership do not directly affect industial accidents, but it has been verified that worker participation has a diret impact on industrial accident reduction. In addition, it has been confirmed that the safety leadership and worker participation of the management. Supervior have a complete mediating effect on the reduction of industrial accidents by mediating with the safety leadership of the management supervior and the participation of the workers. This study analyzed the impact on industrial accidents by dividing the stakeholders constituting the workplace into three classes: business owners, superviors, and workers, but the results suggest that employers and all workers inside the workplace may be organically linked to achieving the goal of reducing industrial accidents. Therefore, in order to establish an autonomous safety management system for safety and health at workerplaces, efforts are needed to reduce industrial accidents in their respective location by forming an organic community among internal stakeholders.
기업의 윤리적 이슈는 사회 전체구성원들에게 주목을 받고 있으며 기업의 흥망성쇠에 직접적인 영향 을 준다고 볼 수 있다. 이제는 단순한 선언적 명제로서 윤리경영을 외치던 시대에서 벗어나 윤리경영이 실제적으로 지속적인 경쟁우위의 원천인 시대가 되고 있다. 따라서 윤리경영은 조직구성원에게 지대한 영향을 주며 기업 및 상사의 비윤리적‧비도덕적 행위에 의하여 조직구성원의 이직의도에 실질적인 영향 을 주는 상황에 놓이게 되었다. 그리고 기업에서의 윤리경영 실행, 상사의 윤리적 리더십의 효과를 살펴보 는 데 있어 신뢰가 중요한 매개역할을 수행한다는 주장이 제기되고 있으므로 윤리경영 실행, 상사의 윤리 적 리더십과 이직의도 간의 관계에서 신뢰의 매개역할을 살펴볼 필요가 있다. 특히 본 연구는 대상에 따 른 신뢰 유형인 조직신뢰, 상사신뢰로 구분하여 매개역할을 살펴보면서 윤리경영 실행, 상사의 윤리적 리 더십은 조직신뢰, 상사신뢰에 차별적 영향력이 있다고 보았다. 사회 교환 이론을 토대로 윤리경영 실행은 조직에서 실행하여 조직과 조직구성원 간의 상호 호혜적 교환관계를 형성하고 상사의 윤리적 리더십은 상사가 실행하여 상사와 부하직원 간의 상호 호혜적 교환관계를 형성하므로 윤리경영 실행은 조직신뢰에 더 많은 영향을 주고 상사의 윤리적 리더십은 상사신뢰에 더 많은 영향을 줄 수 있다고 보았다. 이를 실증 분석하기 위하여 550명의 조직구성원에게서 수집된 자료로 윤리경영 실행, 상사의 윤리적 리더십과 이직 의도 간의 관계에서 조직신뢰, 상사신뢰의 매개효과를 살펴보면서 윤리경영 실행, 상사의 윤리적 리더십 이 조직신뢰, 상사신뢰에 미치는 차별적 영향력을 검증하였다. 분석결과를 보면 윤리경영 실행은 조직신 뢰에 정적인 영향을 주지만 상사신뢰에 유의하지 않는 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 상사의 윤리적 리더십은 조직신뢰, 상사신뢰에 정적인 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 매개효과 결과를 보면 윤리경영 실 행과 이직의도 간의 관계에서 조직신뢰는 유의한 매개효과가 있으나 상사신뢰는 매개효과가 유의하지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 상사의 윤리적 리더십과 이직의도 간의 관계에서 조직신뢰, 상사신뢰는 유 의한 매개효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 차별적 영향력의 결과를 보면 윤리경영 실행은 상사신뢰보다 조 직신뢰에 더 많은 정적인 영향을 주고 상사의 윤리적 리더십은 조직신뢰보다 상사신뢰에 더 많은 정적인 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 토대로 윤리경영 실행, 상사의 윤리적 리더십, 조직신 뢰, 상사신뢰가 이직의도에 미치는 경영학적인 의미와 시사점을 제시하였다.
Domestic SMEs play a key role in production and employment, accounting for 98.9% of total enterprises, 74.4% of employment, 50.8% of production, and 49.0% of value added (as of 2016). However, they are faced with difficulties of survival because of continuous decrease in profitability, shortage of funds and manpower, insufficient accumulation of technology, minimum wage increase, and 52-hour workweek. In order for SMEs to continue to develop in such a difficult environment, we must constantly innovate our organization by making full use of our knowledge, information, experience and ability. To do this, CEO (management) leadership is very important to ensure that the best people are focused on the organizational innovation and management performance without moving the company. In this study, we wanted to establish empirically how the newly emerging compassionate rationalism leadership of SMEs business managers affected the innovation activities and management performance of companies. Research has shown that management’s compassionate rationalism leadership has a positive and significant causal relationship with the innovation activities and management performance of the enterprise. Therefore, SMEs managers need to learn the bottom eight strategic factors of compassionate rationalism leadership and use them strategically to make efforts to create positive emotions for the organization so that members can be immersed in innovative activities and management performance creation.
The CEO leadership and employee’s concerning and participation to quality management innovation activity is critical factor for improving the business performance. This empirical study is aims to find that whether the quality management activity is significant or not in the automotive parts suppliers. To perform this research, we distributed 250 sheets totally, and withdraw 194 sheets. We analysed 169 sheets that we could use for this research using SPSS 18.0 and AMOS 18.0. We had the results that CEO leadership is significantly positive effects on the employees’s participation to quality management. And the result of process improvement have positively effective and significant effects on the product improvement result and business performance of firms.
The purpose of this study is to assess whether the emotional leadership of the CEO of a fashion company has a significant influence on corporate performance. In this study, a survey was conducten on employees of fashion companies from August 1 to 30, 2015, and 350 copies of questionnaires were collected and used for analysis. Factor analysis, reliability analysis, and regression analysis were employed to analyze the data using SPSS software (ver. 21.0). According to the study results, if a fashion company CEO has higher emotional leadership, it leads to an increase in the job satisfaction and performance of the staff members, and an improvement in new product performance thanks to more investment and development and an expanded R&D staff. Additionally, the higher emotional leadership of the CEO contributes to an increase in operating profits, sales, and market share. Therefore, the importance of organizational culture was confirmed by its regulation effect on the emotional leadership and management performance of a fashion company. According to the results of this study, the emotional leadership of a CEO plays an important role in improving the performance of a fashion company, and future studies are needed to identify how to enhance the corporate performance of a fashion company from various perspectives.
The present research intends to examine the relationship between the Big Five personality traits and leadership initiations among the marketing executives in Delhi NCR (INDIA), and seeks to uncover the predictors of leadership initiations within personality traits. The data are collected through online survey method using different social media platforms. A sample of 233 (male =136 and female =97) marketing executive’s responses were included. The data collected with the help of self-reported Big Five model inventory and leadership initiation test. The collected data were analyzed statistically by using descriptive statistics, correlation. and stepwise multiple regression analysis. The results revealed that the age of respondents inversely correlated with leadership initiation. Neuroticism revealed significant inverse correlation with leadership initiation, whereas significant positive correlations were found between extraversion, conscientiousness, agreeableness, and leadership initiations, while openness to experience revealed insignificant positive correlation with leadership initiation. Extraversion and conscientiousness appeared as the most dominant personality traits among marketing executives, irrespective of gender, that positively influenced leadership initiation and appeared as the predictor of leadership initiation. In male executives extraversion and age emerged as the predictors of leadership behavior, while in female executives extraversion and openness to experience personality traits appeared as the predictors of leadership initiation.
