이 연구는 동물매개활동과 ‘R.E.A.D.’ (Reading Education Assistance Dogs)를 활용 하여 초등학생의 정서적 안정감에 어떠한 효과를 미치는지 살펴 보는데 목적이 있다. 이 를 위하여 정서적 안정 척도를 사전, 사후검사를 통하여 비교 분석하였다. 연구 결과 치료 도우미견을 통한 책 읽기 프로그램은 아동의 정서적 안정감 느끼기에 긍정적인 효과를 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 학교 현장이나 각 교육기관 등에서 아동의 정서 적 안정감을 위한 프로그램을 개발하고, 운영하는데 유용한 정보로 활용될 수 있을 것이 다.
Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) is frequently observed in intact middle-aged or older male dogs with symptoms ranging from asymptomatic to various symptoms such as urination, dyschezia, dysuria, tenesmus, and intermittent serosanguinous or clear serous exudate. A 4-year-old, intact male Welsh corgi with symptoms of intermittent hematuria and serosanguinous exudate at the urethral opening was diagnosed with BPH and intraprostatic hematocyst through ultrasonographic examination and cytology test. The dog was internationally adopted for reproductive purposes and needed to undergo BPH treatment while maintaining fertility. Thus, 2.5 mg finasteride was administered orally once a day for treatment option and therapeutic effects were observed, including loss of clinical symptoms and reduced prostate and intraparenchymal cyst size.
The causes of juvenile crimes are varying with many reasons, can not be just defined with one reason. It is very easy for juveniles to become violent and fall into misdeed, bad social environment; such as, family or parents' divorce problems accelerates this kind of misbehavior, especially when they are mentally acuity in this stage of their lives. On the impulse of the moment directly connects to the delinquencies which make their life miserable and furthermore, they become an obstruction of the society and country. Juvenile delinquents have to be take cared with psychological treatments, such as using a dog, because their hearts are dried up for many reasons. It is possible to help delinquents in The the Cheonan Juvenile Correctional Institution to reduce criminal minds and violent behaviors through psychological treatments and reform edification to make them love animals. This study has been researched through result of surveysand MMPI tests on guard diaries and observation record for using dogs as a treatment for violent reduce of juvenile delinquents in the Cheonan Juvenile Correctional Institution. With the result, we came to the conclusion that it will be a suitable program for juvenile and female delinquents in the future.
The purpose of this thesis is to verify the effects of animal assisted therapy program using therapy dogs for the impulsivity of children with ADHD. The researcher conducted a survey with 3 elementary school students : 11, 12, and 13 years old male students who were diagnosed with ADHD by the ‘Children Psychological Counseling Center’ in P city in Gyeonggi-do. The program was in session, two observers recorded the specific target behaviors and created a graph and chart showing the change in hyperactivity. Due to the small sample size, it might be hard to prove the statistical significance of the results, researcher uesd qualitative data analysis to show the statistical ignificance. Comparing the Before and After test results, it shows that children's impulsivity decreases. In conclusion, animal assisted therapy program using therapy dogs could be used effectively for the therapy of impulsivity of ADHD children.
