본 연구는 여수 인근 13개 무인도 주변 해역의 굴 Crassostrea gigas (n=410, SH 43.3±11.4 mm) 에서 확인된 인터섹스 현상을 보고하고자 하였다. 전체 성비(암:수)는 1:1.1이었으나 채집 정점 별로 성비의 차이를 보였다. 가장도, 소경도, 중삼도에서는 암컷이 65% 이상의 높은 비율을 보 였으며, 송도, 초도, 부서도에서는 수컷이 65% 이상의 높은 비율을 나타냈다. 전체 intersexuality 는 약 12.8%로 암컷에서 약 34.7%, 수컷에서 약 64.3%로 수컷에서 높았다. Intersexuality는 가막만의 초도에서 약 43.8%로 가장 높았다. 조직학적으로 인터섹스는 intrafollicular type, interfollicular type, mixed type의 세 가지 형태로 나눌 수 있었다. 이들 세 가지 형태 가운데 intrafollicular type이 약 81.6%로 가장 우세하였다. 본 연구에서 보고된 굴의 인터섹스 원인에 관해서는 추후 세부적인 연구가 필요할 것으로 생각된다.

우리나라 도서지역 산림식생의 인간 간섭 유무와 정도에 따른 생태적 보전 및 관리를 위한 기초 정보를 수집하기 위하여 남해안 유인도서(대모도)와 무인도서(구도)를 대상으로 식물사회학적 연구방법으로 산림식생을 분류하고 그 구조 및 종조성 특성(총피도, 중요치, 종다양성, 지표종, 생활형 조성 등)을 파악하였다. 산림식생 유형은 대모도에서 총 11개 식생단위(1개 군락군, 2개 군락, 개 아군락, 9개 변군락, 그리고 4개 아변군락), 구도에서 총 8개 식생단위(2개 군락군, 5개 군락, 그리고 6개 아군락)가 구분되었다. 총피도(S)와 종다양도(H′)에 있어서 구도는 교목층이, 대모도는 관목층이 다른 층위에 비하여 상대적으로 아주 높게 나타났다. 생활형 조성 체계는 대모도 N-R5-D2-e, 구도 MM-R5-D2-e로 나타났다. 과중요치(FIV) 분석결과 대모도에서는 차나무과와 소나무과, 구도는 녹나무과와 참나무과 분류군들이 상위그룹을 이루고 있었으며, 과별 종구성비에 있어서는 대모도는 국화과가 4.5%(19종류), 구도는 백합과 가 7.3%(8종류)로 가장 높게 나타나 두 도서간 인위적 교란 정도를 가늠할 수 있었다. 지표종 분석에서는 대모도는 청미래덩굴, 광나무, 사스레피나무 등 미소지상식물(N)이, 구도는 황칠나무, 구실잣밤나무, 육박나무 등 대형지상식물 (MM)이 대개 유의한 지표종(p <0.0005)으로 나타났다.

There are 3,358 islands in Korea and about 85% of them are uninhabited islands. Concerning this, Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs (MLTM) has been seeking not only to settle the fundamental policy on the preservation, the utilization, and the development of the uninhabited islands but also to search the proper types of management suitable for the specialities by inhabited islands. Accordingly, we participated the humanities and sociological research from May 2012 to January 2013 by MLTM intended for 171 uninhabited islands belonging to Mokpo City, Yeosu City, Jindo-Gun, and Shinan-Gun for the purpose of the effective management and utilization of the uninhabited islands. In this treatise, we report the result of the humanities and sociological research about twenty six uninhabited islands nearby Hong-do island.

Among 3,358 islands in Korea, about eighty five percentage of them are uninhabited islands. As part of such research, we participated the humanities and social science research from May 2012 to January 2013 by MLTM intended for 171 uninhabited islands in Mokpo City, Yeosu City, Jindo-Gun, and Shinan-Gun of Jeollanam-Do for the purpose of the effective management and utilization of the uninhabited islands. First of all, in this treatise, we report the results of the humanities and sociological research about nine uninhabited islands nearby Gakyeo island in Shinan-Gun of Jeollanam-Do.

The medicinal plants in 22 unhabited islands of Jindo-gun, Chonnam provincde were investigated from March 2000 to October 2002. The medicinal plants in 22 uninhabited islands of Jindo-gun were consisted 366 taxa; 95 families, 269 genus, 309 species, 52 varieties, 3 forma, and 2 subspecies. Important medicinal plants on survey area were Lemmaphyllum microphyllum, Dendropanax morbifera, Ficus erecta, Farfugium japonicum, Machilus thunbergii, Juniperus chinensis var. procumbens, Dendrobium moniliforme, Pyrrhosia tricuspis, Cinnamomum japonicum, Pittosporum tobira, Kadsura japonica, and Daphniphyllum macropodum, This result can be used as basic information data for medicinal research and the conservation of uninhabited islands.
