복숭아순나방(Grapholita molesta)은 핵과류과실에 일차 피해를 주는 해충이다. 이를 해결하기 위해 종합적병해충관리 [IPM]의 일환으로 써 전세계적으로 교미교란제가 농가에 적용되고 있다. 왁스, 폴리에틸렌 튜브, 에어로졸 형태의 다양한 교미교란제가 상업화되었다. 이 연구에서 는 복숭아순나방 성페로몬 방출기로써 에스테르왁스와 폴리프로필렌(PP)필름백을 구성하는 방출기를 기존의 파라핀 왁스와 폴리에틸렌(PE) 재 질의 필름과 비교하여 페로몬의 방출거동을 분석했다. PE재질의 필름백은 성페로몬의 방출이 불규칙한 반면, PP필름백에서 성페로몬은 시간에 따라 일정하게 방출하는 패턴을 얻었다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 Japan 왁스_PP 필름 방출기(Japan_PP)를 제작하였고, 약 5개월 동안 복숭아과 수원에 적용한 결과 98% 이상의 교미교란 효과가 검증되었다.
This is the first record of endoparasitic Hymenoptera Apanteles galleriae recorded from Apis cerana colonies in Korea. A simple rearing protocol was established to allow the morphology, mating behavior and infestation rate of A galleriae. In total, 55 lesser wax moth fresh cocoons were kept in the tissue culture test plate at room temperature (25.6 ± 1.5˚C, RH 21 ± 3.7%). The females were 3.4 ± 0.3 longer than male 3.3 ± 0.2. The male antenna was longer than females. The copulation lasts 24.4 ± 2.4 seconds. The larvae of A. galleriae were pupated inside the cocoons of lesser wax moth. Ninety percent of adults A. galleriae was successfully emerged from the lesser wax moth cocoons. A. galleriae can be used as bio-logical control in store and in live colonies to control lesser wax moth.
A wax-typed pheromone dispenser has been developed and applied to control outbreak of the oriental fruit moth, Grapholita molesta, in apple orchard. To optimize its application technique, this study analyzed effect of different amounts of the pheromone dispenser on mating disruption (‘MD’) of G. molesta. Different pheromone dispenser amounts significantly influenced the MD effect assessed by cumulative male adult catches monitored respectively by sticky delta trap and food trap, and resulted in differential damage on host plants. In a field test during entire growing season, a standard amount (120 g per 0.117 ㏊) of wax-typed pheromone dispenser was proved to be effective to suppress outbreak of G. molesta adults and to prevent host plant damage as much as a current commercial MD product (Isomate<SUP>Ⓡ</SUP>). This study also demonstrated an effectiveness of deployment of food trap barriers around MD-treated area to prevent immigration of mated females from outside untreated areas. These results indicate that the wax-typed pheromone dispenser can be applied to control field G. molesta populations and its co-application with food trap barriers would be optimal to maximize MD efficacy.
This research was carried out to develop economical artificial diets of the greater wax moth, Galleria mellonella (L.). Diets were mixed with malt or sugar instead of whole honey for cheaper ones. Fecundity, developmental period, pupation rate, emergence rate and adult longevity of G. mellonella depending on diet were examined. The head width and length of larvae were not significantly different among diets tested. However, the weight of larva was the heaviest, 255.5 ㎎, at 1/2 honey + 1/2 malt diet and lightest, 144.3 ㎎, at sugar diet. The weight of pupa was also the heaviest at 1/2 honey + 1/2 malt representing 196.7 ㎎. Larval period was the shortest at honey diet as 30.9 days but the longest at sugar diet as 36.5 days. Pupation and emergence rates were over 79.3% at all diets. The longevity of mated females was ranged from 6.3 to 8.0 days and those of mated males ranged from 7.9 to 11.2 days. The highest number of eggs, 1269, was obtained at sugar diet. Artificial diets replaced by rice bran, malt, and sucrose reduced costs compared with wheat bran plus honey diet. The cost of rice bran was only 10% of wheat bran. Honey was much more expensive than malt and sugar, that is 6 and 13 times, respectively.
꿀벌부채명나방 종령유충의 whole body에서 gel filtration 방법으로 유약호르몬 결합 단백질을 분리, 정제하였다. 분리된 단백질은 column chromatography법과 전기영동법에 의해 등가성을 확인하였다. 이 결합단백질은 전기 영동법에 의해 32K, gel filtration 에 의해 28K의 상대적 분자량을 나타냈다. 또한, JH III에 대한 해리도는 3.9M로 확인되었다.
