The word “execution 執行” is a common word used in modern Chinese. The main meanings in modern Chinese are: 1. implemented according to law. 2. do it according to the plan or resolution. Both “execution” and “going” in ancient Chinese are polysemous words of monosyllabic. Under the “implementation” position, the same meaning field is a synonym relationship. As the compound word “execution”,it is deeply influenced by the Buddhist scriptures. “Execution” was initially compounded from the ancient Chinese period. The table “has adhered to the rhythm”,but it is not popular. In the Middle Chinese period, influenced by the Chinese translation of the Buddhist scriptures, the same morphological concept was re-integrated and stabilized to form a compound phrase, mainly referring to “In the period of modern Chinese,it mainly refers to” the implementation of “legalization according to law”; in modern Chinese,it is based on the table “to do according to plans or resolutions”.
In the South China Sea Arbitration, the Chinese term-“li shi xing quan li” was mistranslated into “historic rights short of title,” regardless of the official English translation provided by Chinese government and preserved by international organizations. ‘quan li’ connotes a categorical meaning covering sovereignty and non-sovereignty rights, while “li shi xing” relates to claims and conduct historically before 1982. China’s “li shi xing quan li” in the SCS developed with the history of the general category of historic rights-an umbrella concept connoting both exclusive historic title and non-exclusive historic sovereign rights. It included China’s exclusive sovereignty over nansha qundao in the SCS and its non-exclusive sovereign rights in part of SCS. The Arbitral Tribunal’s negligence of the conceptual difference led to uncertainty in China’s maximum maritime entitlements in the SCS and reasonable doubt about its decision on the Philippines’ Submissions 1 and 2.
Chapter One (甲篇) of Yin Yang Wu Xing in “The Compilation of Mawangdui Silk Manuscript” (《長沙馬王堆漢墓集成》), which has been seriously damaged, still needs further adjustments. From line 1 to 16 (Jicheng Vol.1 p250-251) in Zhu Shen Ji Xiong, we delete two silk pieces and move 2 other pieces according to the Fan Yin Wen (反印文) in Chapter Xi (徙), Tian Di (天地) and Nv Fa (女發) (Ji Cheng Vol.1 p244-245). Some pieces have been added. New transcription can be given by those adjustments. We notice that figures in this chapter were pieced and numbered mistakenly. Some line numbers of transcriptions do not match their figures. In addition, some texts that can be read together were separated.
Both Chinese culture and South Korean culture have a very long history. The two cultures share many things in common. Chinese characters and Confucianism had great influence on ancient Korean Peninsula in terms of national thought and social mental state as well as the development of its classical literature. When Korean was established at the very beginning, Confucianism had become the dominant thought. What is more, the introduction of Hsin-li Hsueh also had greater impact on Korean classical works. The Confucian thoughts of Loyalty, Righteousness, Chastity, and Piety were deeply rooted in Korean classical literature. The regulation of Hsin-li Hsueh had resulted in the appearance of the thought of “no sweet without sweat” and the theme of “punishing evil-doers and praising good-doers” as well as the frequent usage of Chinese allusion in Pansori novels. With the introduction of ancient Chinese literary works into Korea, literators in Korean Peninsula not only enjoyed all these works in terms of reading and referring, but also flexibly put all the overseas cultural genes into their literary production. Biography of Xing Fu was the typical one. The thesis is going to analyze the imago of swallow and cucurbit and ancient Chinese classical literary works in Pansori novels from the standpoint of cultural transmission and variation so as to interpret the deep root of Chinese element in Biography of Xing Fu, which will definitely provide a better understanding of this
novel.
