The antecedents of customer loyalty have been a subject of interest to marketers and researchers alike. Few studies have investigated the moderating influence of brand image on customer satisfaction and loyalty. A framework was developed and tested to link casino service quality with satisfaction (affective and cognitive satisfaction) and loyalty (revisit intention and willingness to recommend). The influence of brand image as a moderator was also proposed. Quantitative surveys with 240 mainland Chinese tourists, who were the major source of tourists in Macau, were conducted. All the proposed hypotheses were supported. This study contribute knowledge on customers’ satisfaction and loyalty to casinos by explaining the interrelationships between casino brand image, casino service, customer satisfaction and loyalty. The research demonstrates that satisfied customers are more inclined to revisit and recommend the casino. These relations are stronger for customers who scored higher in image than those who scored lower. The study provides promotional marketing strategies for the casino industry and theoretical suggestions for future study.
This study investigated the effects of myofascial release therapy and massage on upper trapezius myalgia and sleep quality in 60 female and male individuals employed at casinos between the ages of 20-49. Subjects were divided into three groups: a myofascial release therapy group (n=20), a massage group (n=20), and a control group (n=20). Each intervention lasted 15 minutes and was performed 4 times a week for 4 weeks. Pain was significantly decreased after the application of myofascial release therapy and massage (p<.05), however slightly increased in the control group, and myofascial release therapy reduced pain a little more than massage. Sleep quality was also significantly increased by myofascial release and mass (p<.05), however only slightly in the control group. The findings of this study suggest that myofascial release therapy and massage are effective in improving upper trapezius myalgia and sleep quality in casino employees.
GSA (Gaming Standards Association)’s S2S (System to System) standard provides harmonizing protocol between any gaming and non-gaming host systems in the casino back office and Casino business area. Its technical details and implementation is rarely open to the academy and public. This paper discuss our ongoing implementation of S2S protocol engine and systems, which is, to our knowledge, the first case in Korea. Our design leverages open source technologies such as Linux, Python, Django, Tornado, JQuery, and lxml. Describing the architecture and an application scenarios of ‘PlayerInfo’ class, we demonstrate how the open source technology can be utilized in the S2S system design.
The international and domestic revenue keep growing constantly, and nowadays the international casino game industry is getting upgraded utilizing IT technology. In contrast, due to many constraints and limitations, Korean IT society has not paid attention to the casino IT area. Slot machine is one of popular gaming systems in the casino. In this paper, we present our design and implementation of protocol analysis system for SAS 6.0 protocol. Slot machine accounting system (SAS) is an international standards protocol and provides auditing, management, and additional service for slot machines. Our protocol analysis system design experience provide in-depth understanding on slot machine and its accounting requirement than a simple conceptual introduction of protocol. Also, the key difficulties of SAS protocol implementation and performance requirement is examined. Our system successfully works in small portable embedded system and showed its benefits, showing benefits for debugging and reverse-engineer a real work problem with commercial system. The engine of the analysis software will be the base of real SMIB (slot machine interface board) system for commercial use.

Slotomania는 소셜 카지노 장르에서 개별 타이틀로 1위에 위치하였으며, 본 연구는 게임에 존재하는 슬롯들의 다양한 특징들을 입체적으로 분석한다. 구체적으로, 1) UI(User Interface) 2) 테마 3) 페이라인 & 베팅 4) 구조 & 심볼 5) 보너스 6) 부가적 특징의 요소들을 탐구한다. 그 결과, “다양성”이 존재하는 것으로 조사 되었다. 이에 따라, 어떻게 그리고 왜 그러한 슬롯들이 사람들에게 매력을 주는지에 대해 조사할 뿐만 아니라, 페이스북 기반의 소셜 카지노 장르의 시장을 탐구한다.
Purpose – The purpose of this study is to verify a role of organizational culture as antecedents to influence psychological empowerment of organizational members, focusing on service workers of casino companies. Therefore, this study sought to examine the question of each clan, adhocracy, market, and hierarchy culture that the workers perceive to influence their psychological empowerment. Thus, the current study examined the relationship between organizational culture and the psychological empowerment by empirical analysis. Research design, data, and methodology - This study chose four domestic casino companies that are run only for foreigners. Using an offline survey, it analyzed the questionnaire data of the 249 surveys collected from employees working in the sales and service sectors. Independent variables were four types of organizational culture: clan, adhocracy, market, and hierarchy. Dependent variables were four subcategories of psychological empowerment: meaning, competence, self-determination, and impact. As research methods, the study applied descriptive statistics, factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis, using SPSS 21.0 statistical program. Results - Among the organizational culture types, the clan and adhocracy cultures, which emphasize flexibility and autonomy, were relatively more important for the psychological empowerment of workers than the hierarchy and market cultures. Clan culture was the most important factor in terms of meaning and competence, and adhocracy culture was the most important factor in self-determination and impact. However, the hierarchy and market cultures that pursue control and stability were also cultural types that positively affected psychological empowerment of the workers. Hierarchy culture showed positive effects on meaning, competence, and impact except self-determination, and market culture had positive effect only on competency. Conclusions - The study found that organizational culture is an important predictor of psychological empowerment of the employees in casino companies and that important organizational culture types may be different for each sub-factor of psychological empowerment. It suggests that casino companies have to try to recognize and secure diverse organizational culture in order to activate psychological empowerment of their employees because they can provide quality service for customers. Therefore, it is necessary to create a harmonious and balanced culture between promoting flexible and autonomous organizational atmosphere, and stably controlling and operating the organization.
