        This study sought to conduct a fundamental investigation in order to test and evaluate the thermal performance of an aluminum stick curtain wall system. In terms of the thermal performance index, the infiltration rate of air tightness, thermal transmittance of the heat insulation property and temperature difference ratio of condensation resistance were experimentally measured. The research process can be divided into three parts. First of all, a database for the test report of the curtain wall was compiled and existing design criteria with respect to the evaluation method and standard of transparent building components such as curtain wall, window and door were analyzed to produce the specimens. Secondly, four different types of curtain wall specimens were created through investigating the curtain wall database. Thirdly, standard tests of thermal performance were carried out for airtightness, thermal performance and condensation resistance. As a result, the curtain wall specimens with low-e triple glazing covered by an aluminum capture system showed high thermal performance compared to other curtain wall specimens including low-e triple glazing with a 4-sided structural sealant glazing system. Air tightness of all types of curtain wall specimens satisfied level 1 standard for air tightness. It was found that a curtain wall which consists of a one track frame has difficulties meeting the residential standard of thermal performance with regard to thermal transmittance and condensation resistance.

        본 연구에서는 기존외장재로 사용되고 있는 알루미늄 커튼월시스템을 대신할 수 있는 공법으로, 유리를 지지하는 케이블에 초기장력을 도입하여 건축외장재에 작용되는 풍하중을 효과적으로 지지할 수 있는 케이블월 시스템을 제안하였다. 고층건축물 기준층 에 적용할 수 있는 상하로 연결된 수직 일방향 케이블시스템에 케이블의 초기장력과 설계하중에 대한 변위를 예측할 수 있도록 구조 해석과 실물크기의 실험을 통해 케이블월 시스템의 구조성능을 평가하였다. 구조설계 프로그램인 MIDAS-Gen을 이용하여 케이블의 초기장력 및 구조거동을 해석하였고, 구조실험에 나타난 최대 처짐 값은 케이블구조 국제허용 처짐인 AAMA 조건에도 만족한 것으로 나타났다. 또한 구조해석을 통해 나타난 결과 값이 실제 외장재 크기에 동일한 하중조건으로 작용한 구조실험 결과 값과 거의 유사한 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구를 통해 얻어진 결과로, 제안된 케이블월 시스템을 건축외장재에 사용할 경우 구조성능은 충분히 확보될 뿐 만 아니라 개방성이 확보되고 시공이 간편하여 공사비용을 절감시킬 것으로 예상된다.

        I selected a hypermarket as a research target by investigating energy consumption and total area of each 11 hypermarkets and suggested energy saving key elements by analyzing the cooling and heating loads. I completed a calibrated simulation model by searching literature, site survey and dynamic simulation tool. I separated the energy-saving elements into architectural and facility sections by searching domestic standards as well as theses, and applied those elements to the calibrated simulation to calculate the energy consumption. Then I suggested energy saving elements that suitable for the hypermarkets by comparing each energy consumption of architectural and facility sections.

        The curtain wall design process of Korea can be mainly divided into Basic DWG phase performed in architectural design phase and Shop DWG phase performed in the curtain wall design phase. The designing in such process (the process of going over to Shop from Basic) is being performed mainly by the outcome. So it is difficult to communicate between subjects because the decision making or flow of information gets accomplished as one-way. Especially, because the curtain wall designing accomplished in the architectural design process gets performed without reflecting the engineering technology, it causes many problems in the design phasesuch as change of design or delay of decision making. In order to make an improvement on such problem, it is estimated that the existing one-way designing can be improved into the one based on cooperation by enabling the exchange of decision making details between concerned parties in the curtain wall design phase in this study and ultimately proposes a curtain wall design management system which enables generation and alteration of information on curtain wall products, information gathering and sharing of information, etc by materializing a design system of simultaneous engineering concept.
