The author examined the response of File fish, Stephanolepis Cirrhifer (TEMMINCK et SCHLEGEL) to the surface attracting lamps(0.5W, 0.8W, 1W) line in the experimental water tank (550L×58W×73H cm). the attracting rate was investigated in accordance with the interval of lighting and putting out hour (1, 5 minute)when each of the attracting lamps was gradually switched off after they were switched on all at once. The results are as follows: 1. Total distribution rate of fish in the illuminated section was 96.9%(mean 19.4%) in case of 1 minute interval, and 98.4%(mean 19.7%) in case of 5 minutes interval. 2. Mean distribution rate of fish at the illuminated section: ① Distribution rate at interval of 1 minute were 19.9% in 0.8W, 19.3% in 1W and 18.9% in 0.5W respectively. ② Distribution rate at interval of 5 minutes were 19.8% in 1W, 19.8% in 0.8W, and 19.5% in 0.5W respectively. 3. Attracting rate of the last section showed increasing as illuminating time elapse without interval and lighting source. 4. Attracting rate of fish in only last section switched on: ① Attracting rate at interval in case of 1 minute were 98.0% in 1W, 97.0% in 0.5W and 83.0% in 0.8W respectively. ② Attracting rate at interval in case of 5 minutes were 99.3% in 1W, 97.3% in 0.5W and 93.3% in 0.8W respectively.

정치망에 대한 방어와 쥐치의 행동을 분석하기 위하여 한국 동해안에서 보편적으로 쓰이는 낙망의 1/30크기의 모형정치망을 망지로서 제작하고, 이것을 수면조도 1 lux정도의 실내에 설치된 가로.세로 700cm, 깊이 100cm, 수심 70cm의 수조에 고정했다. 공시어는 정치망에서 어획된 전장 37~45cm짜리 방어와 18~21cm짜리 쥐치이며, 이것을 3~20마리씩 방류하여 통그물에의 입망수, 탈출수 등을 1분 간격으로 조사하고 10분간 누계하여 검토한 결과는 대략 다음과 같다. 1. 방어는 통그물 입망율은 그다지 크지 않으나 원통 입망율은 상당히 크다. 유영궤적은 비교적 원활하며, 입망도 잘하나 탈출도 잘하므로 정치망을 설계할 때는 입망하기가 다소 어렵더라도 탈출하기가 쉽지 않도록 하는 것이 유리할 것 같다. 2. 쥐치는 통그물 입망률은 방어보다 크나 원통입망률은 매우 낮다. 유영궤적은 원활하지 않고 꼬불꼬불 원형으로 맴돌면서 전진하므로 입구가 넓은 헛통에는 잘 입망하나 원통에는 잘 입망하지 않는 것 같다. 따라서 쥐치를 주대상으로 하는 정치망을 설계할 때는 특히 등망부분을 조금 넓게 하여 군이 맴도는데 지장이 없도록 해주는 것이 유리할 것 같다. 3. 방어나 쥐치의 어느 경우에도 원통탈출율은 거의 0이고 헛통탈출율도 거의 10% 이하여서 낙망이 상당히 효과적인 어구임을 보여주고 있다.

유도등렬로서 집어된 어류를 목적장소까지 유도하기 위하여 2가지의 유도등 점멸방법 (Normal, Nega 방법), 3가지의 점멸간격 (1,5,10분) 및 3 가지의 적응등용전구 (1, 10, 20 W)를 사용해서 말쥐치 Navodon modestus(GUNTHER)에 광자극을 주었을 때 그에 대한 반응을 조사한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. Normal 방법에 의한 점멸간격과 적응등의 밝기에 따른 유도율의 변화를 나타내는 변동계수는 각각 16.78% (1 분), 9.71% (5 분), 8.96% (10 분), 9.71% (1 W), 15.00% (10W), 21.08% (20 W)였고, 최종구간에서의 유도율은 각각 80.0% (1 분), 86.0% (5 분), 85.0% (10 분), 86.0% (1 W), 78.7% (10W), 72.7% (20 W)였다. 2. Nega 방법에 의한 각 점멸구간에서의 어류분포는 점멸간격과 적응등의 밝기에 관계없이 거의 모든 점등구간에 분포했으며 그 중 소등구간에 인접한 점등구간에 많이 분포하였다. 3. Nega 방법에 의한 최종구간에 대한 유도율의 변화는 L자형이 되었으며, 최종유도등만 점등되었을 때의 유도율은 각각 96.7% (1 분), 100% (5 분), 96.0% (10 분), 100% (1 W), 100% (10W) and 88.0% (20 W)였다.

The author tried to clarify the distribution of the total length and body weight of the file h, Navodos modcstus, caught by trawl net during July, 1984 in the southern sea korea. Among the catches of five times fishing operation, 1540 individuals were randomly sampled for the measurement. The results are summarized as follows; " The distribution of total length showed bimodal type, wbich was able to analyzed into two normal distributions N(17.46, 1. 022) and N(22.09, 1. 772). And smaller group was much than older one. The age of the sample estimated from the total length distribution of. smaller group was 1. 5 to 2, and the larger group 2. 5 to 4.
