        음이온 교환막은 수전해 시스템에서 매우 중요한 역할을 하며, 생성된 수소와 산소 기체를 물리적으로 분리할 뿐 만 아니라 전극 사이에서 수산화 이온의 선택적인 전달을 용이하게 한다. 음이온 교환막에 요구되는 특성은 수산화 이온에 대한 높은 전도도와 알칼리 환경에서의 화학적/기계적 안정성 등이 있다. 본 연구에서는 셀룰로오스 나노 크리스탈이 포함된 poly(terphenyl piperidinium) (qPTP/CNC) 복합매질분리막을 제조하였다. 고분자 매질로 사용된 poly(terphenyl piperidinium) 은 super-acid 중합법을 통해 제조되었으며 이온전도성과 알칼라인 내구성이 뛰어난 소재로 알려져 있다. qPTP/CNC 분리막 의 구조는 고분자와 나노 입자 계면의 공극이나 큰 응집체가 없는 조밀하고 균일한 형태를 나타냈다. CNC 나노 입자가 2 wt% 첨가된 qPTP/CNC 분리막은 높은 이온교환용량(1.90 mmol/g)과 낮은 함수율(9.09%) 및 팽윤도(5.56%)를 보였다. 또한, 복합막은 수전해 작동 환경인 50°C 1 M KOH에서 상용 FAA-3-50 분리막에 비해 월등히 낮은 저항과 우수한 알칼라인 내구 성(384시간)을 달성했다. 이러한 결과는 친수성 첨가제인 CNC가 음이온 교환막의 이온 전도 특성과 알칼라인 내구성 향상에 기여할 수 있음을 보고하였다.

        BaTiO3-Poly vinylidene fluoride (PVDF) solution was prepared by adding 0~25 wt% BaTiO3 nanopowder and 10 wt% PVDF powder in solvent. BaTiO3-PVDF film was fabricated by spreading the solution on a glass with a doctor blade. The output performance increased with increasing BaTiO3 concentration. When the BaTiO3 concentration was 20 wt%, the output voltage and current were 4.98 V and 1.03 μA at an applied force of 100 N. However, they decreased when the over 20 wt% BaTiO3 powder was added, due to the aggregation of particles. To enhance the output performance, the generator was poled with an electric field of 150~250 kV/cm at 100 °C for 12 h. The output performance increased with increasing electric field. The output voltage and current were 7.87 V and 2.5 μA when poled with a 200 kV/cm electric field. This result seems likely to be caused by the c-axis alignment of the BaTiO3 after poling treatment. XRD patterns of the poled BaTiO3-PVDF films showed that the intensity of the (002) peak increased under high electric field. However, when the generator was poled with 250 kV/cm, the output performance of the generator degraded due to breakdown of the BaTiO3-PVDF film. When the generator was matched with 800 Ω resistance, the power density of the generator reached 1.74 mW/m2. The generator was able to charge a 10 μF capacitor up to 1.11 V and turn on 10 red LEDs.

        A Partially hydrolyzed poly (vinyl acetate) (PHPVA)-borax complex-based gel-like coating was successfully developed for the decontamination of Simulated nuclear fallout (SFO) from surfaces. The sprayable coating was self-generated on the surface by borate-diol ester bonds after simultaneously mixing two solutions of borax and PHPVA. The SFO particles, synthesized at 1,200°C for melting, were glassy while some crystalline phases (e.g., SiO2 and Fe2O3) existed together. The SFO particles were fixed onto the Stainless steel (SS) substrate by dropping and evaporating water. for examination of the dust-removal performance of PHPVA-borax based coating. The dusts on the SS surface was successfully removed by casting the PHPVA-borax based coating within 1 minute, demonstrating the excellent dust-removal property of the PHPVA-borax based coating. The used PAB complex in wet state was recovered by using vacuum suction machine in short time. The solid-state PHPVA-borax based film was self-delaminated from the SS substrate after fully drying the used PHPVA-borax coating but this requires long period of time.

        The development of food packaging materials with mechanical and antimicrobial properties is still a major challenge. N, P-doped carbons (NPCs) were synthesized. Poly(butylene adipate-co-terephthalate) (PBAT), which has an adverse effect on the environment and affects petroleum resources, has been commonly used for applications as food packaging. The development of PBAT composites reinforced with NPCs and studies on their structure and antimicrobial properties are presented in this study. The composite materials in the PBAT/NPCs were processed by solution casting. The plasticizing properties of NPCs enhanced the mechanical strength of composites produced of PBAT and NPCs. The thermal properties of PBAT composites were enhanced with addition of NPCs, according to thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). After reinforcement, PBAT/NPCs composites became more hydrophobic, according to contact angle measurements. In studies against S. aureus and E. coli food-borne pathogenic bacteria, the obtained composites show noticeably improved antimicrobial activity. The composite materials, according to the results of PBAT and NPCs may be a good choice for packing for food that prevents microorganisms.

        본 총설은 소수성 불소수지계 분리막의 표면 개질에 대한 개론으로 다양한 표면 개질 방법 및 그 연구 결과를 중 점적으로 서술하였다. PTFE로 대표되는 불소수지계 고분자 분리막은 막 증류, 유수 분리, 기체 분리를 포함한 다양한 막 분 리 공정에서 사용되어왔다. PTFE 막은 내화학성, 내열성, 높은 기계적 강도와 같은 뛰어난 물성에도 불구하고 소수성 표면 특성으로 인해 기술 적용의 확장에 제한적이다. 친수성 향상을 위해 습식 화학법, 친수성 고분자 코팅, 플라즈마 처리, 조사, 원자층 증착과 같은 다양한 PTFE 표면 개질 방법을 이용하며 이를 통해 불소수지계 분리막의 응용분야가 확장될 수 있다.
