        In tourism industry, tourists at the post-fordist era have overlooked tangible aspects of consumption by focusing on tourists’ experience and satisfaction. Recently, many scholars have employed the marketing concepts to investigate tourists’ need, want, and demand, especially, value co-creation. However, there is a little interest to focus on value co-creation in tourism industry, in spite of the fact that tourists in the digital age have decided to travel by intangible aspect of consumption – emotional and experience. Additionally, we also employ the concept of psychological carrying capacity to understand how tourist value relates to psychological carrying capacity. A total of 380 completed questionnaires are collected and the data were analyzed using Pearson’s correlation analysis. The correlations between tourist value and psychological carrying capacity were examined in order to understand the relationship of tourist value toward environmental concern in the settings of island area. The results show that there is the direct relationship between tourist value, perceived crowding, interactions between tourists, perceived physical environment, overall satisfaction, and returning intention.

        In recent years, the tourism experience of tourists has been impacted seriously with the increase in the number of tourists. Psychological Carrying Capacity (PCC) as an important part of Tourism Carrying Capacity (TCC), is an important criterion for measuring the quality of tourism experience. It is also an important and necessary means of tourism management. Daerungwon, as a symbol of the Gyeongju city, has not been studied on TCC. In this study, the number and the satisfaction degree of tourists in Daerungwon were investigated hourly. Then the mathematical relationship between the two variables was established with regression analysis method. Based on these, the study researched the change rules of the PCC in Daerungwon. The results showed that: (1) The satisfaction degree curve presented inverted “U” shape rather than monotonically decreasing shape with the increase of the number of tourists in Daerungwon. (2) When the instantaneous number of tourists is 193, the satisfaction degree of tourists is the highest. When the instantaneous number is 382, the descent speed of satisfaction degree is the fastest. The best PCC in Daerungwon is 1,198 persons per day. And when the number of tourists reached 2,372, the satisfaction degree will drop quickly. Finally the study verified the influencing factors of PCC from the view of tourists and put forward suggestions on management based on PCC research results. The achieved results can provide the references to the tourism management of Daerungwon.

        북한산국립공원에서 이용객에 의한 자연환경의 변화 및 이용객 심리조사를 수행하기 위하여 야영장 및 피크닉 장소 18개소에 조사구를 설치하였다. 15개소에 대해서는 자연환경파괴조사를 하였고, 3개소(대동문지역, 북한산장지역, 인수산장지역)에 대해서는 폭10m의 belt transect을 설치하여 이용객에 의한 토양성질 및 식생구조에 미치는 영향을 조사하였으며, 3개장소에서 설문을 통해 이용객심리를 조사하였다. Transect조사지에서 환경피해가 심한 중심지에서 숲속으로 거리가 멀어짐에 따라 토량경도, 100m2당 수목개체수, 하층 초본층의, 피도 유사도지수는 회귀관계가 성립되었다. 야영장중심에서 숲속으로 100~130m까지 인간에 의한 토양 및 식생의 번화가 있었다. 인간간섭에 내성이 강한 수종은 초록싸리, 국수나무, 다래, 노린재나무이었고, 약한 수종은 물푸레나무, 팥배나무, 진달래였다. 설문에 의한 심리적인 만족도조사를 하여 각 항목들의 요인분석을 직각회전방법에 의하여 실시한 결과, 북한산의 피크닉장소를 이용하는 이용객의 심리적 만족도에 가장 크게 영향을 미치는 것(Factor I )은 물리적 인자로 화장실, 쓰레기통, 음료수에 관한 변량이 높게 부가되었다. 다음으로 영향을 미치는 것(Factor II )은 사회적 인자로 이용객의 혼잡도, 소음정도, 주변환경의 보전성이 높게 부가되어 있었다. 만족도에 의한 심리적인 수용력을 추정한 결과 25m2/인 이었다.
