        This study investigated the distribution and diversity of spider communities living in natural and semi-natural environments located in Gongju, Chungcheongnam-do, South Korea, and thereby emphasizes the importance of urban planning and biodiversity conservation. In this study, we documented 128 spider species through pit-fall trapping, sweeping, and manual collection methods and analyzed their alpha and beta diversity, nestedness, and interactions. As a result, natural habitats (forests) showed higher biodiversity and more complex species interactions. Despite anthropogenic impacts, such as human activities, urban habitats have shown notable biodiversity. Nestedness analysis and association rule learning reveal diverse community structures in multiple habitats and intricate interspecies relationships. This study highlights the importance of habitat heterogeneity in supporting biodiversity and the importance of considering multiple ecological factors in urban planning.

        서식지 이질성은 복잡한 구조를 가진 서식지일수록 생물다양성이 증가된다는 개념으로 농업생태계에서도 적용이 가능하다. 특히 농업생태계에서 해충 조절과 같이 포식자로 기능하는 거미를 이용할 경우 농업생태계의 전반에 관한 이해의 폭을 넓힐 수 있다. 본 연구는 우리나라 농업 생태계의 대표적인 재배 유형인 밭과 논에서 거미의 다양성이 공간 스케일에 따라 어떠한 특성을 나타내는지 확인하고자 수행하였다. 함정트랩을 설치하여 밭에서 24개 샘플을, 논에서 24개 샘플을 수집하였다. 공간 스케일에 따른 밭과 논의 종수는 누적 곡선과 추정 곡선을 통해 평가하였다. 전체 조사 지점들에서 종수는 밭에서 높게 나타났고 조사 지점별 평균 종수는 논에서 높게 나타났다. 이를 통해 작은 공간 스케일에서는 서식지 구조의 복잡성이, 큰 공간 스케일에서는 작물 종류의 다양성이 거미의 다양성에 영향을 미치는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

        The Hawthorn spider mite Amphitetranychus viennensis is an important pest of various fruit trees as well as a variety of ornamental plants. Its presence has been reported in China, Japan, Korea, and middle east and European countries including Grorgia, Russia, Turkey, Ukraine. Thus, it is a quarantine species in American countries and Australia. Intra-specific variation of A. viennensis was investigated using 555 bp of ITS2 ribosomal DNA and 453 bp of the cytochrome oxidase I (COI) gene. Its variation of ITS2 and COI among China, Japan and Korea were 1.7-2.2% and 0.2-0.7%, respectively. In addition, we collected samples from 14 location in Korea. Intra-specific diversity of ITS2 and COI within Korean populations were ranged into 0.5-0.9% and 0.2-0.5%, respectively. Thus, A. viennensis is not much genetically diverse in different populations.

        This study was performed to investigate the bacterial diversity isolated from the twospotted spider mite and to interpret their correlation between insect bacteria and acaricide resistance. Twospotted spider mite, Tetranychus urticae was used the resistance strains, which developed over eight years to the six acaricides such as abamectin, acequinocyl, bifenozate, etoxazole, fenpropathrin, and pyridaben, respectively. After cultivating the bacteria from body maceration, bacterial colony was selected and identified through 16S rRNA gene sequences. We are identified six genus from Pyridaben resistant strain, five genus from acequinocyl, three genus from abamectin, bifenozate, etoxazole, and two genus from fenpropathrin. However, we could not found correlation between bacterial density and diversity (phylotypes) among these resistant strains. By analyzing the diversity of population microorganisms, fenpropathrin was showed 40% of Cs value (Similarity coefficient) with susceptible strain, however, abamectin and pyridaben were perfectly different (0%) with susceptible strain. It remains to be learned about how microorganisms co-evolutionary developed with their host insect correlating to the resistance and how microorganisms play role in acaricide resistant mite.
