이상의 결과를 정리하면 다음과 같이 요약할 수 있다. (1)Karman의 적분 방정식에 미소 거칠기 영향을 고려함으로서 디퓨져 닥트 표면의 경계층 계산에 응용한 결과 모멘트 적분법 및 실험치와의 비교에서 개선된 결과임이 확인되었다. (2) 국소 거칠기의 효과를 주는 방법으로는 Cole의 벽 및 와 법칙에 Clauser의 거칠기 함수와, 압력 기울기를 고려한 부가 형상계수 값으로 적분 방정식에 응용할 수 있다. (3) 국소 거칠기 분포에 의하여 경계층 특성을 교란시켜 표면 마찰력 계수를 줄일 수 있어 마찰력 손실을 줄일 수 있는 방안이 제시되었다.
With a modern microdensitometer and POSS glass copies, we have performed an automated star counting in two colors, blue and red, over the region containing Bok globule B361. Distribution of the measured extinction values over the projected angular distance from the cloud center was approximated by a power-law, and the resulting power-law indices for the blue and red are shown to be distinctly different from each other. The difference in the power-law index indicates that the mean dust size increases towards the cloud center. Possible physical causes for such size variation are briefly discussed.
We construct a simple photometric evolution model of galaxies based on the evolutionary population synthesis. In our models an exponentially decreasing SFR with a power law IMF is used to compute the UBV colors of galaxies from ellipticals to late type spirals. It is shown that the integrated colors of galaxies with different Hubble type can be explained by one parameter, SFR.

The SMC composite, now being considered in certain structural applications, is anticipated to experience repeated loading during service. Thus, understanding of the fatigue behavior is essential in proper use of the composite material. In this paper, using the SMC composite composed of E-glass chopped strand and unsaturated polyester resin three point bending fatigue tests are carried out to investigate the fatigue crack propagating behavior under various cyclic stresses and fatigue damage of various microcrack forms. The following results are obtained from this study; 1) Most of the total fatigue life of the SMC composite is consumed at the initial extension or the growth of the macroscopic crack. 2) A Paris' type power-law relationship between the crack propagation rate and stress intensity factor range is obtained, and the value of material constant m is much higher (m=9~11)than that of other metals. 3) In case of high cyclic stress the fatigue damage show high microcrack density and short crack length, but in case of low cyclic stress does it vice versa. 4) Fatigue damage is characterized by microcrack density, crack length and distribution of crack orientation.
The rotational properties of late-type main sequence stars in the solar neighborhood have been investigated. So rotation periods and stellar radii are determined for 104 field stars, 8 Ursa Major Group stars, and 20 Hyades cluster stars. Most of the rotation periods are derived using the Noyes et al. (1984)'s relation between chromospheric activity and rotation period. Stellar radii are calculated by the Stefan law for the nearby stars within 25 pc from the sun. Rotational velocities at equator are determined by the above rotation periods and stellar radii. Their distribution along the (B-V) color shows an upper boundary and an abrupt drop for the stars in the range of 0.4<(B-V)<0.8, as found from the apparent rotational velocity data. Furthermore, it is apparent that there is an lower boundary of rotational velocity. The inclination of rotation axis to line-of-sight is obtained by comparing the rotational velocity at equator with the apparent rotational velocity given by the analysis of the line profiles. For the field stars, it is found that the inclination has no correlation with the galactic lattitude and follows random distribution.
