현대중국어에서 ‘结果’는 명사, 접속사, 담화표지 등의 기능으로 사용된다. 본고는 이 세 기 능을 문법화의 결과로 보고, ‘结果’가 형성하고 있는 기능적 네트워크에 대해 문법화론의 주 요 개념으로 해석을 시도해 보았다. 논의는 크게 통사적 측면의 변화와 의미적 측면의 변화 로 대별해 진행하였다. 통사적 측면에서의 변화 양상은 탈범주화로 설명되고, 재분석의 기제 가 작동한 결과 명사에서 접속사와 담화표지로 문법화 될 수 있음을 확인하였다. 의미적 측 면에서는 먼저 ‘结果’의 어원어로서의 의미가 일반화되어 가는 점에 주목하였는데, 이는 ‘结 果’의 통사적 변화의 가능성을 열어주게 된다는 점에서 의미를 가진다. 아울러 ‘结果’의 의미 변화 양상은 의미지속성 원리, 잃고-얻기 모형 및 주관화의 각도 등의 측면에서도 설득력 있 는 해석을 할 수 있다.

‘结果’ is multifunctional in the modern Chinese language. It mainly functions as a noun, a conjunction or a discourse mark. This article considers the categories of ‘结果’’s functions as a result of grammaticalization and tries to examine them from the view of grammaticalization theories. The research was focused on the changes in two different levels - syntactic and semantic, and the conclusions drawn are as below; Firstly, at a syntactic level, the grammaticalization of ‘结果’ is a process of decategorization. The process that ‘结果’ changes from a noun which is a main category to a conjunction and to a discourse mark which are minor categories, can be described as a process of obtaining syntactic independence (non-dependency). This study also investigates the changes of syntactic circumstances. It presents a transitional stage from a noun ‘结果’ to a conjunction ‘结果’, and explains that a reanalysis mechanism has worked during this process. Secondly, the grammaticalization of ‘结果’ is observed at a semantic level. The changes of meaning of a word in grammaticalization is important since it is the starting point of grammaticalization, and it operates the process as well. First, the meaning of the noun ‘结果’ as a root word had generalized and then it provided the possibility of functional extending to a conjunction and a discourse mark. These three functions might be seen different mutually at the first glance, but they are sharing the semantic feature of [+final status] on the basis of a persistence principal even though the meaning of ‘结果’ is generalized.
