도서지역의 산림관리 정책은 산림청 및 관할 지자체별로 일부 시행되고 있지만 산림 및 산림관리에 대한 관심은 상대적으로 낮으며, 또한 도서정책 관리부서의 다원화로 실질적인 도서지역의 산림생태계 보전·관리는 미흡한 상태이다. 본 연구는 덕적군도 방문객을 대상으로 도서지역의 산림자원에 대한 인식을 파악하여 도서지역 산림의 보전·관리 및 이용 방안을 도출하기 위한 기초 자료를 제공하고자 방문 행태, 산림자원 활성화 사업에 따른 추가 방문 의사, 산림의 역할에 대한 평가, 산림에 대한 만족도 등에 대해 방문객 700명을 대상으로 개별 면접조사를 실시하였다. 설문조사 결과, 덕적군도 방문객들은 산림 역할에 대해 산림에 다양한 수목이 잘 갖추어져 있고(3.96), 자연이 잘 보전되어 있으며(4.15), 아름다운 경관을 제공하고(4.23) 있지만 상대적으로 산림환경·생태교육 기회 제공(3.69)과 지역사회 발전에 기여(3.71)에 대해서는 낮게 평가하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구를 통해 나타난 분석 결과를 바탕으로 도서지역의 산림자원 관리를 위한 종합산림계획 수립 등 도서지역 산림관리 정책 방안 마련을 기대한다.
The forest management policy of the island area is partially implemented by the Korea Forest Service and local governments, but the interest in forest and forest management is relatively low. Due to the diversification of the island policy management department, the conservation and management of forest ecosystems in the actual island area is insufficient. The purpose of this study is to analyze the perceptual difference of visitors on the island forest resources of the Deokjeok Archipelago. It provides basic data for deriving conservation·management and use of island forests. The survey results, the visitors to Deokjeok Archipelago are replied to address the role of forests that the forest is well stocked with various trees (3.96), nature is well preserved (4.15), and it provides a beautiful scenery (4.23). But in relatively, it has been shown that they are undervalued of provide opportunities for forest environment and ecology education (3.69) and contribute to community development (3.71). Based on the analysis results from this study, we hope to come up with policy measures for forest management in the island area, including the establishment of a comprehensive forest management plan for the management of forest resources in the island area.
