Using a servo acceleration sensor applied to the inertial navigation system for various weapons system, We developed a sensor which can measure the safety of structure and earthquake. To verify the performance of the sensor, we analyzed the building structure frequency domain, low frequency domain, El-centro sesmic wave for response characteristic. We also tested the sensor whether it can measure angular displacement or not.
This paper presents the experimental results for reinforcement effect for FRP strengthened steel structures. Bond behavior, flexural, and compression were conducted. First, from bond test, it was able to examine the interfacial behavior and to evaluate the interfacial bond stress between AFRP plate and steel plates. Second, for flexural test, maximum load was increased with increasing FRP layer. Also, debonding failure was observed between steel plates and FRP plates. Third, for compression, for short columns it was observed that two sides would typically buckle outward and the other sides would buckle inward. Also, for long columns, overall buckling observed. The maximum load was increased up to 33% for slender section short columns. From the test, it was able to verify the reinforcement effect for FRP strengthened steel structures.

This study compares the steel column-base plate connections to improve the flexural capacity of small building. In addition, performance level was evaluated by example building. Analysis results, an additional reinforcement is required to the proposed steel column-base plate connection. And then, We should compared the impact of beam-column joints.
Tuned Mass Damper (TMD) and viscoelastic damper (VED) is a well-known vibration absorbing equipment in the civil engineering realm. Although the dampers are typically used separately, combined use of dampers worth investigation. For that purpose, a numerical model of multi-story building equipped with TMD and VED was developed using finite element software SAP2000. In this study, modal parameter based distribution of hybrid damper system (HDS) using Tuned Mass Damper (TMD) and viscoelastic damper (VED) together has been adopted to reduce the seismic response of the structure.
Bayesian Approach for efficient collapse response assessment of structure is used in this study. The approach facilitates integration preliminary information of risk assessment with numerical analysis results to get more efficient fragility assessment. We can get the preliminary information from different sources, including professional experience, information on the building design criteria, experimental results and simplified linear dynamic analysis. The combination of prior collapse risk information with nonlinear analysis simulations aims to improve computational and statistical efficiency. In this study, we considered a 62m cantilever and independent intake tower to assess its seismic fragility. The approach provides significant improve the statistical and computational efficiency of seismic fragility as well as precise confidence band of fragility curve compared to alternative method.
Improvement of displacement absorbing performance by utilizing the moving clips in order to prevent falling off of the exterior material according to earthquakes and wind, trying to examine the structural performance of the building exterior panel.
To obtain design parameter of soil protection structure having anchor type foundation, model test is executed for flexible and rigid structures. Empirical equation for soil impact force with variation of slope angle and spacing is suggested in this study.
To improve the shear bonding capacity of deckplate and concrete, we retrofit shape of 150 TU deck and performed fire resistance test. Fire resistance test results show 90 minutes fire resistance capacity for 6kN/m2 live load condition.
In this study, applicability of the steel grid composite deck to temporary or building structure is reviewed. structural performance such as flexural strength, and serviceability is compared with those of the existing deck structures. the result shows that the steel grid composite deck is applicable to horizontal supporting member of temporary of building structure.
The connection parts of electric distribution cable can be damaged by wind and various types of outer loads. So, the reasonable connection system is required to solve these problems. Therefore, this study presents the composition type of self-tensioning connection system for electric distribution cable.

The monitoring system consist of an anemometer, accelerometers, GPS and internet-based data logging system. Through this realtime ambient measurement data, evaluate the serviceability of the building.
In this study, a half-precast composite concrete slab using a strain-hardening cementitious composites has been tested. To compare with RC slabs, the developed slab can minimize longtitudinal reinforcements and improve crack control through strain-hardening behavior of fiber cementitious composite.
Long span structures like space-structures have instability phenomenon, jump buckling or bifurcation. And these instability phenomenon responds very sensitivity, depend on the initial condition. In this study, define the 1-degree of freedom space structure and when model has beating load, analysis critical load of model using 3D contour map for load, variable , displacement in the axial. The analysis results, when is 1.0, is able to see the lowest critical load and the resonance phenomenon.
In this study, an analytical study on the effect of the support structure deflection on the impact test result was carried out to set up the accurate impact test method. Various impact analyses of the CEDM(control element drive mechanisms) impact test were performed using LS-DYNA commercial FE program. Finally, the effect of the boundary condition of the support structure and impact loading duration were investigated.
An ICH RC (internally confined hollow reinforced concrete) tower for supporting 5.0MW wind turbine was developed and its standard sections were designed. It was found that ICH RC wind tower is satisfied with maximum 200% bigger moment which is required for pre-existing steel tower. Also, the results from the FAST showed that 5.0MW turbine can be normally operated with the ICH RC tower.
In this research, we carried out design and analysis with joint of concrete supporting structure for offshore wind energy. This study investigates the effect of elevated temperatures on the pore structure of cement paste which, in turn, can provides information to evaluate the damage level of concrete structures due to fire. Mercury intrusion porosimetry (MIP) test was conducted for this investigation. Test results showed that the higher the temperature, the higher is the pore volume of cement paste and the wider is the pore distribution.
