        The Ionospheric Anomaly Monitoring by Magnetometer And Plasma-probe (IAMMAP) is one of the scientific instruments for the Compact Advanced Satellite 500-3 (CAS 500-3) which is planned to be launched by Korean Space Launch Vehicle in 2024. The main scientific objective of IAMMAP is to understand the complicated correlation between the equatorial electro-jet (EEJ) and the equatorial ionization anomaly (EIA) which play important roles in the dynamics of the ionospheric plasma in the dayside equator region. IAMMAP consists of an impedance probe (IP) for precise plasma measurement and magnetometers for EEJ current estimation. The designated sun-synchronous orbit along the quasi-meridional plane makes the instrument suitable for studying the EIA and EEJ. The newly-devised IP is expected to obtain the electron density of the ionosphere with unprecedented precision by measuring the upper-hybrid frequency (fUHR) of the ionospheric plasma, which is not affected by the satellite geometry, the spacecraft potential, or contamination unlike conventional Langmuir probes. A set of temperaturetolerant precision fluxgate magnetometers, called Adaptive In-phase MAGnetometer, is employed also for studying the complicated current system in the ionosphere and magnetosphere, which is particularly related with the EEJ caused by the potential difference along the zonal direction.

        Purpose: This study aims to explore how consumers respond to the immoral actions of a CEO. More specifically, this research focuses on the moral reasoning processes used by consumers in order to maintain support for the CEO despite the immoral action. In addition, this research suggests that support for the CEO would improve product purchase intention. Research design, data, and methodology: To test the hypotheses presented, an online research company was hired and online survey was conducted with adult participants. Online research company sent an email to the potential subjects asking their participation in an online survey. Subjects were able to participate in the online survey by clicking a link to the survey. When the participants clicked the link, they were instructed to read a fictitious newspaper article on a CEO’s immoral action. And then, they were asked to answer several questions online. Responses were obtained from 336 adults participants and data were analyzed using SPSS Hayes Macro for a moderation effect and AMOS for a structural equation model. Result: Moral reasoning processes were divided into moral decoupling and moral rationalization and analyzed to determine their influence on product purchase. Also in this study, we suggest the public self-consciousness of consumers as an antecedent of moral reasoning processes, and argue that consumers with high public selfconsciousness are more likely to engage in moral decoupling than moral rationalization. Conclusions: Our results showed that moral decoupling and moral rationalization improved the consumer’s perception of corporate ethicality, which increased product purchase intention. In addition, consumers with high public self-consciousness were more likely to engage in moral decoupling than in moral rationalization. In addition, this research suggested that severity of the scandal would moderate the impact of public self-consciousness on moral decoupling. However, this hypothesis was not supported statistically since most participants perceived the scandal to be a highly severe incident, that may lead to an insignificant interaction effect between severity of the scandal and public self-consciousness. This research expands the scope of available research on corporate ethics and consumer responses to negative information involving celebrities and provides practical implications for corporate crisis management.

        Purpose: This study investigated the effects of valuation errors on the capital market through the earnings forecasting errors of financial analysts. As a follow-up to Jensen (2005)'s study, which argued of agency cost of overvaluation, it was intended to analyze the effect of valuation errors on the earnings forecasting behavior of financial analysts. We hypothesized that if the manager tried to explain to the market that their firms are overvalued, the analysts’ earnings forecasting errors would decrease. Research design, data and methodology: To this end, the analysis period was set from 2011 to 2018 of KOSPI and KOSDAQ-listed markets. For overvaluation, the study methodology of Rhodes-Kropf, Robinson, and Viswanathan (2005) was measured. The earnings forecasting errors of the financial analyst was measured by the accuracy and bias. Results: Empirical analysis shows that the accuracy and bias of analysts' forecasting errors decrease as overvaluation increase. Second, the negative relationship showed no difference, depending on the size of the auditor. Third, the results have not changed sensitively according to the listed market. Conclusions: Our results indicated that the valuation error lowered the financial analyst earnings forecasting errors. Considering that the greater overvaluation, the higher the compensation and reputation of the manager, it can be interpreted that an active explanation of the market can promote the accuracy of the financial analyst's earnings forecasts. This study has the following contributions when compared to prior research. First, the impact of valuation errors on the capital market was analyzed for the domestic capital market. Second, while there has been no research between valuation error and earnings forecasting by financial analysts, the results of the study suggested that valuation errors reduce financial analyst's earnings forecasting errors. Third, valuation error induced lower the earnings forecasting error of the financial analyst. The greater the valuation error, the greater the management's effort to explain the market more actively. Considering that the greater the error in valuation, the higher the compensation and reputation of the manager, it can be interpreted that an active explanation of the market can promote the accuracy of the financial analyst's earnings forecasts.

        Recently, an innovative method for wastewater treatment and nutrient removal was developed by combining the sequence batch reactor and membrane bioreactor to overcome pollution caused by shipboard sewage. This system is a modified form of the activated sludge process and involves repeated cycles of mixing and aeration. In the present study, the bacterial diversity and dominant microbial community in this wastewater treatment system were studied using the MACROGEN next generation sequencing technique. A high diversity of bacteria was observed in anaerobic and aerobic bioreactors, with approximately 486 species. Microbial diversity and the presence of beneficial species are crucial for an effective biological shipboard wastewater treatment system. The Arcobacter genus was dominant in the anaerobic tank, which mainly contained Arcobacter lanthieri (8.24%), followed by Acinetobacter jahnsonii (5.81%). However, the dominant bacterial species in the aerobic bioreactor were Terrimonas lutea (7.24%) and Rubrivivax gelatinosus (4.95%).

        This paper analyzes delta-Vs to maintain an extremely low altitude on the Moon and investigates the possibilities of performing a CubeSat mission. To formulate the station-keeping (SK) problem at an extremely low altitude, current work has utilized real-flight performance proven software, the Systems Tool Kit Astrogator by Analytical Graphics Inc. With a high-fidelity force model, properties of SK maneuver delta-Vs to maintain an extremely low altitude are successfully derived with respect to different sets of reference orbits; of different altitudes as well as deadband limits. The effect of the degree and order selection of lunar gravitational harmonics on the overall SK maneuver strategy is also analyzed. Based on the derived SK maneuver delta-V costs, the possibilities of performing a CubeSat mission are analyzed with the expected mission lifetime by applying the current flight-proven miniaturized propulsion system performances. Moreover, the lunar surface coverage as well as the orbital characteristics of a candidate reference orbit are discussed. As a result, it is concluded that an approximately 15-kg class CubeSat could maintain an orbit (30–50 km reference altitude having ±10 km deadband limits) around the Moon for 1–6 months and provide almost full coverage of the lunar surface.

        봄수확 수삼의 항공 및 선박의 모의수출 유통 중 손실유형을 조사하기 위해 수삼을 기능성 LDPE 필름에 5 kg 대포장 또는 500 g 소포장으로 포장하고 각기 다른 모의수출 유통 온도 및 모의수출 기간 즉 항공 모의수출 유통은 15℃와 25℃로 설정된 저장고에 4일 동안 저장하고, 선박모의수출 유통은 1℃와 5℃로 설정된 저장고에 14일 동안 저장한 뒤 유통실험을 위해 최종 10℃로 설정된 저장고에 수삼을 옮기고 수삼의 품질 변화를 조사하였다. 수삼의 품질 조사는 포장단계부터 10℃유통기간까지 총 기간 수행하였다. 조사결과 수삼의 유통 중 손실률에 가장 크게 영향을 미치는 것은 물러짐과 곰팡이 발생에 의한 부패로 나타났다. 물러짐과 곰팡이에 의한 부패를 합한 종합 손실률에서 손실률 20%를 유통한계 기간으로 정했을 때 항공 모의수출유통 조건인 25℃에서 5 kg 대포장은 10일, 500 g 소포장은 6-7일에 20%에 도달했으며, 15℃는 5 kg 대포장은 17일, 500 g 소포장은 12-13일에 20%에 도달했다. 선박 모의유통 조건인 5℃는 5 kg 대포장은 21일, 500 g 소포장은 28일경에 20%에 도달했고, 1℃는 5 kg 대포장은 24일, 500 g 소포장은 29일 경에 20%에 도달하는 것으로 나타나 수삼의 유통은 모의수출 유통 방법뿐 아니라 포장용량도 손실률에 상당한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 수삼의 부패에 관여하는 병원균 중 곰팡이 균은 대부분Fusarium sp., Botrytis sp., Penicillium sp. 균들로 동정되었고, 25℃에서는 Fusarium sp. 균이 우세종이고, 그 이하의 온도에서는 Botrytis sp. 균이 우세종으로 나타났다.

        식물의 이차 대사산물은 다양한 생물활성을 가지며 자외선은 이차 대사산물의 생성에 영향을 미치는 것으로 알려져 있다. 뽕나무는 다양한 종류의 유용 성분을 함유하여 활용가치가 높은 식물 중의 하나이다. 본 연구에서는, UV 조사에 따른 뽕나무 잎의 이차 대사산물의 변화를 조사하기 위하여, 뽕나무 잎을 LC-MS를 이용하여 무표적 분석법으로 분석하였으며, 무표적 분석으로 얻은 scan data를 bioinformatics 프로그램인 R의 XCMS package를 이용하여 profiling 한 결과, 적어도 35종 이상의 화합물에서 UV-C 조사에 따른 양적인 변화가 발견되었다. 이들 중 14종의 화합물은 분리 및 NMR spectrum 비교 또는 표적 분석을 통하여 종류를 확인하였으며, 종류가 확인된 성분에 대해 정량분석을 수행한 결과, morin(464배), oxyresveratrol(256배), 2,3-trans-dihydromorin(170배), 2",4",2,4-tetrahydroxychalcone(120배), catechin(84배), 4"-prenyloxyresveratrol(43배), moracin M(35배) 등의 함량이 현저하게 증가한 것으로 나타났다. 또한 UV-C를 조사한 뽕나무 잎은 대조구에 비하여 항산화 활성이 2.1-2.4배, tyrosinase 억제 활성이 2.3배 증가한 것으로 조사되었다. 이러한 조사 결과는 자외선의 조사가 뽕나무 잎의 기능성을 향상시켜 기능성 식품, 약용 또는 화장품 소재로서의 활용 가치를 향상시키는 유용한 수단이 될 수 있음을 보인다.

        In spite of a short history of only 30 years in space development, Korea has achieved outstanding space development capabilities, and became the 11th member of the “Space Club” in 2013 by launching its own satellites with its own launch vehicle from a local space center. With the successful development and operation of more than 10 earth-orbiting satellites since 1999, Korea is now rapidly expanding its own aspirations to outer space exploration. Unlike earth-orbiting missions, planetary missions are more demanding of well-rounded technological capabilities, specifically trajectory design, analysis, and navigation. Because of the importance of relevant technologies, the Korean astronautical society devoted significant efforts to secure these basic technologies from the early 2000s. This paper revisits the numerous efforts conducted to date, specifically regarding flight dynamics and navigation technology, to prepare for future upcoming planetary missions in Korea. However, sustained efforts are still required to realize such challenging planetary missions, and efforts to date will significantly advance the relevant Korean technological capabilities.

        1.5Tesla와 3.0Tesla의 MRI 검사의 DWI (diffusion-weighted imaging) 펄스시퀀스에서 노이즈 스펙트럼을 분석하여 MRI검사의 기초자료를 제공하여 임상에서 적용하는데 목적이 있다. MRI 검사에서 ACR (Americ an College of Radiology) 팬텀과 노이즈 스펙트럼은 Wavepad sound editor version 8.13 (NCH software, Green wood Village, CO, USA)로 FFT (fast Fourier transform), TFFT (time based fast Fourier transform)를 분석하였다. MR 1.5Tesla와 3.0Tesla의 DWI 펄스 시퀀스에서 검사실에 따른 노이즈 스펙트럼 및 FFT와 TFFT를 분석하였다. 1.5Tesla에 비해 3.0Tesla에서 FFT 및 TFFT에서 주파수 진폭의 노이즈 임계값은 1.5Tesla에서 –6 dB 사이였고, 3.0Tesla에서는 0 dB 사이로 분석되어 환자의 소음감소를 위한 DWI 펄스시퀀스를 환자에게 적절하게 임상에서 적용할 필요가 있다.

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the ability of natural antioxidants as stabilizers for meat by-products to prevent lipid oxidation. The white internal organs were evaluated using different treatments: no antioxidant (control), ascorbic acid (T1), Artemisiacapillaris Thunb. (T2), Opuntia (T3), Schisandra chinensis (T4), and Saururuschinensis (Lour.) Baill (T5). Antioxidant activities were analyzed by measuring DPPH contents, superoxide anion radical levels, nitrate scavenging activities, and total polyphenol contents. T1 and T2 showed higher antioxidant activities and total polyphenol contents (p<0.05). Additionally, changes in physicochemical properties (pH, color, volatile basic nitrogen [VBN], and thiobarbituric acid reactive substances [TBARS]) and microbiological aspects in white internal organs processed with antioxidants were investigated. As storage time increased, the CIE a* and b* values of the white internal organs processed with natural antioxidants were decreased (p<0.05), and CIE L* values were low, particularly for the T3 sample relative to that in the control. Moreover, the pH, VBN, and TBARS values of samples T2–T5 were increased after 7 days of storage, but showed low values compared with those of the control (p<0.05). Moreover, compared with the control group, the treatments showed antimicrobial effects. Our results indicated that these natural antioxidants could be used as lipid oxidation stabilizers of meat by-products during storage and that Artemisiacapillaris Thunb. and Opuntia may have applications as natural antioxidants in the meat by-product industry.

        근접방사선치료는 일반적으로 외부방사선치료와 병행하여 수행되고 치료단계가 매우 복잡하며 이로 인 해 방사선 사고가 발생될 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 이를 해결하기 위해 근접방사선치료에 사고유형과 영향 분석(Failure mode and effects analysis, FMEA) 방법을 적용하여 프로세스 맵을 구성하고 이를 기반으로 각 치료단계에 대한 위해도를 산출하였다. 프로세스 맵은 “외래 및 진료”와 “근접방사선 모의치료”, “CT 모의 치료”, “근접방사선치료계획”, “방사선치료”로 총 5단계로 구성하였으며, 각 치료단계를 세분화하여 세부단 계를 작성하였다. 위해도를 산출하기 위해 의사와 의학물리사, 선량설계사, 방사선사, 간호사가 참여하여 세부단계마다 발생빈도와 심각도, 불검출도를 평가하였다. 전반적으로 프로세스 맵은 각 치료단계마다 환 자 신원 확인 절차가 우선적으로 수행되며, 이는 다른 환자로 오인하여 서로 다른 치료계획이 수립되어 방 사선사고가 발생될 우려가 있다. 프로세스 맵을 기반으로 작성한 세부단계에 대해 위해도를 평가한 결과, 전반적으로 “외래 및 진료”와 “근접방사선치료계획” 과정이 높은 위해도로 평가되었다. 직종마다 평가한 위해도는 서로 다른 경향을 보였으며, 간호사는 방사선치료를 제외한 모든 과정이 55점 이상의 위해도를 보였으며, “근접방사선 모의치료” 과정이 88.8점으로 가장 높았다. 방사선치료를 수행하는 의료기관마다 치 료단계가 다소 차이가 있으므로 해당 기관에 대한 프로세스 맵을 작성하고 위해도를 산출하여 중점관리 항목을 집중적으로 리스크 관리가 수행되어야 할 것으로 생각된다.

        요오드화수은은 우수한 엑스선 민감도 특성을 가진 광도전체로 비정질 셀레늄을 대체할 수 있는 후보물 질로 많은 연구가 진행되고 있지만 높은 누설전류로 인해 상용화에 많은 한계점을 나타내고 있다. 본 연구 에서는 요오드화수은의 높은 누설전류를 저감하기 위해 요오드화수은에 비해 입자가 작은 이산화규소 및 이산화티타늄을 물리적으로 혼합하여 단위시편을 제작하였으며 제작된 단위시편의 전기적 특성을 비교·분석하였다. 그 결과 혼합한 두 물질 모두 요오드화수은의 높은 누설전류를 저감하는데 효과가 있었으며 요오드화수은-이산화티타늄 혼합물에서는 방사선 민감도 특성이 상당히 높아짐을 확인하였다.

        Paddy rice is typically stored during postharvest until rice grain is processed into brown rice and milled rice by hulling and milling procedure, respectively. Recently, instead of storing paddy rice, storage of brown rice has been in the spotlight because it is more convenient and economically feasible. Different brown rice cultivars with varying amylose contents including waxy rice, medium-waxy rice, and non-glutinous rice were stored in room temperature storage for four months, and the changes in grain qualities of brown rice were evaluated. Amylose content significantly affected pasting properties in which rice cultivar with higher amylose content showed longer pasting time and higher peak viscosity. Storage also affected pasting viscosities, showing an increase in peak viscosity, but a decrease in breakdown viscosity. The changes in pasting viscosity during storage could be an important starch property for aged brown rice utilization. Waxy brown rice showed the weakest aging property in terms of free fatty acids (FFA) accumulation, whereas non-glutinous rice was more substantial grain quality against aging. The FFA values of two months storage were not significantly different from the initial FFA contents, suggesting that brown rice stored in room temperature for two months could be feasible for direct consumption of brown rice.

        Background : While the anti-inflammatory effects of 20 (S)-ginsenoside Rg3 (Rg3) have been studied, it remains unclear how Rg3 regulates lipid metabolism in inflammatory macrophages. Thus, in this study, we characterized some eicosanoids related to the anti-inflammatory effects of 20 (S)-ginsenoside Rg3 in murine macrophages. Methods and Results : UPLC-MS/MS was used to profile various eicosanoids from RAW264.7 cells treated with lipopolysaccharide (LPS) and Rg3. The profiling data were statistically analyzed by principal component analysis, hierarchical clustering analysis and analysis of variance. The anti-inflammatory effect of Rg3 was validated by assessing the levels of nitric oxide, tumor necrosis factor-α, and interleukin-6 in the activated macrophages treated with Rg3. A total of 69 eicosanoids were analyzed in RAW264.7 cells. Principal component and hierarchical cluster analyses differentiated control cells from cells treated with LPS, Rg3, or LPS + Rg3 for 12 or 24 h. Furthermore, some differentially regulated compounds were found between macrophages treated with LPS for 24 h and those treated with LPS + Rg3 for 24 h. Conclusion : Rg3 alters eicosanoid metabolism in activated macrophages treated with LPS. Furthermore, we identified several eicosanoids correlated with the anti-inflammatory activity of Rg3.

        Background : Undulatum Rhubarb, commonly produced in domestic, is rhizome of Rheum undulatum L. that belongs to the family Polygonaceae. It also can be used as a substitute of R. palmatum L., R. tanguticum Maximowicz ex Balf., and R. officinale Baillon which completely depend on import system. However, there should be clear clarification among Undulatum Rhubarb and Rhubarb, because Undulatum Rhubarb contains rhaponticin as marker compound that is not indicated at Rhubarb. Some of the recently imported Undulatum Rhubarbs have been found to be Rhubarb. Also, it is known that only Undulatum Rhubarb is cultivated at domestic environment. But some plant origins of Rhubarb are grown in Korea, too. Further study are needed to clarify clear origin between Undulatum Rhubarb and Rhubarb. Thus, we collected some domestically cultivated samples and identified them. Methods and Reseults : Rheum undulatum L., Rhubarb, Rheum tanguticum Maximowicz ex Balf. which were cultivated in Gangwondo Agricultural Research and Extension Services in Cheorwon were collected and anayzed the DNA sequences. We also compared DNA sequences in Rhubarb collected from England and R. rhabarbarum L., R. undulatum L., and R. franzenbachii on NCBI. As a result, two kinds of rhubarb cultivated in the test plantation were identified as R. rhabarbarum and R. officinale. In addition, R. undulatum (plant origin of Undulatum Rhubarb) was identified as Rhubarb (Rheum rhabarbarum) in England with 99 - 100% identical in nuclear ITS gene region. Conclusion : R. undulatum, plant origin of Undulatum Rhubarb, is reported as synonym of R. rhabarbarum, R. franzenbachii. Rheum speices which are cultivated as tester in Gangwondo Agricultural Research and Extension Services in Cheorwon are estimated as R. undulatum and R. officinale. Therefore, not only Undulatum Rhubarb but Rhubarb could be grown in Korea.
