ZECUNTANG YUPIAN was edited by Zhang Shi-jun. It is usually called the Song YUPIAN. Actually the Song YUPIAN had largely changed the features of YUPIAN inscribing in the Song Dynasty, including characters change, errors correction, means addition, head characters addition or amalgamation, etc. So it has lower philology value than the SONGBAN YUPIAN and the Song Subsection YUPIAN, even lower than Cao Yin Edition. The Song Subsection YUPIAN can emendate the SONGBAN YUPIAN, and it has special significance in document system of YUPIAN as a bridge connecting the SONGBAN YUPIAN style with the Subsection style.

建类一首，同意相受”是传统“六书”之“转注”的定义，对这句话的理解是解开“转注”之谜的关键。我们从许慎“转注”定义的“同意”入手，考察了31处“同意”用例，发现“同意”是指取象造意相同，而非词义相同。而且这31处“同意”所涉及的字形成了两种基本情况，这两种情况正好与“建类一首”中的“类”和“首”相对应，这就使得“类”和“首”有了明确的内涵。可以说，正是对《说文》“同意”用例的分析研究导致了“转注”问题的新认识，并进一步解决了“六书”的性质问题及《周礼》“六书”问题。

Etymological character is a term of traditional linguistics.The understanding and use of etymological character shows a certaindeviation in terms of modern linguistics system. There is a contradictionin the use of etymological character in traditional documents, both in itsconnotation and denotation. So the term of etymological character even in Encyclopedia of China needs to be searched out. In fact, the form of anetymological character can integrate into its meaning, and shows a kind of inner essence. Of course, the characteristics of etymological character should be followed in the study of dialect.

Chinese characters are basically rooted into Chinese culture background, so the special form of a certain Chinese character has its unique historical connotation. Though some concepts about Chinese characters culture are still under discussion, the historical graphemes of Chinese characters are undoubtedly the main content in culture research. Some vivid practical applications are discussed in this study to reveal the abundant culture content in the historical graphemes of Chinese characters.

As an ancient text in Chinese Characters, WUMINGKAO basically reflects the law of spread and usage of Chinese Characters，and the study of deformed Chinese Characters is one part of research of external Chinese Characters. The writer carried forward the traditional shapes of Chinese Characters; besides, was flexible. In WUMINGKAO, the regular Chinese Characters and the deformed ones, the regularity of deformed Chinese Characters and the variability ones exist side by side.
