Yekeo Yuhae vocabulary has 62 categories, including 4651 Chinese words. We think these words, with the characteristics of the same time, systematicness and richness are active in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties. We searched five vocabulary categories, including 544 Chinese words, finding Chinese words in Yekeo Yuhae mainly from Ancient Chinese times, Middle Chinese period and period of Tang Song and Yuan Dynasties. The amount of words coming from the Ming and Qing Dynasties is the least, which reflects the inheritance and stability of the vocabulary
As books to translation studies written by department of translation of institutes,Yeogeoryuhae and it’s supplement record the pronunciation and meaning of Chinese vocabulary. So Yeogeoryuhae and it’s supplement are important materials for study Chinese at the time. Chinese scholars often involve the literature in the papers about modern chinese phonetic and Korea times chinese education. But the targeted research is not enough. Korean scholars research on the Yeogeoryuhae more deeply and broadly, However, like the Chinese scholars, modern chinese vocabulary research based on the Yeogeoryuhae and it’s supplement remain to be expanded.
The article points out the definition and scope of Ming dynasty colloquial words in XunMengZiHui(Hereinafter referred to as ZiHui). The distribution of the colloquial words in ZiHui was throughly investigated and four major characteristics of the colloquial words are summerized. we think colloquial words in ZiHui can broaden the research field of modern Chinese vocabulary. It has great research value to the study of Chinese vocabulary periodic history and grand language reference book compilation.
This paper, based on vocabulary statistics from sample test paper, analyzed Business Chinese Test(BCT) content validity through comparing to Business often-used vocabulary in BCT syllabus. Vocabulary from the BCT sample test takes 16.1% of total 2455 from Business often-used vocabulary, which makes BCT sample test is a representative one. On the other hand Business vocabulary from Business often-used vocabulary covered 89.6% of the sample test’s Business words. View of two aspects above, we draw the conclusion that Business Chinese Test has a comparatively high content validity.
