The purpose of this study is to evaluate seismic performances of a modular house system developed by a simple 4-clip fastening method and double metal assembly made of lightweight metals. In order to evaluate structural and non-structural seismic performances of the system. Shaking table test was carried out with full-scale modular units, and a nonlinear pushover analysis was performed to obtain suitable seismic responses for story drifts, displacements, force resistances and dynamic properties of the system. Through 3D analysis and shaking table test, the current method of lightweight modular metal unit assembly and systems with seismic performance of a 4-clip fastening type modular house were demonstrated safe and effective to seismic design.

This study investigate mechanical properties of alkali-activated slag fiber-composites according to water to binder ratio. A series of experiments were carried out to find the mechanical properties including compressive strength, uniaxial tensile tests. The result of tests exhibited strain hardening behavior and high ductility under direct uniaxial tensile load test.

This paper presents a half-precast composite concrete slab using a strain-hardening cementitious composites (SHCC). The flexural characteristics of SHCC-RC Composite slab was evaluated with a conventional reinforced concrete slab and the composite slab was excellent in crack control to compare with the reinforced concrete slab.

In this study, high performance fiber composites has developed using GGBS and Flyash with PVA fiber. Thus, four mixtures was determined accoding to the ratio of binder. A series of experiments, including slump flow, compressive strength, uniaxial tensile strength tests were carried out to characterize the mechanical properties of the fiber composites. The result of tests, slump flow showed an average 428mm and tensile strain 2% of behavior strain hardening of due to the occurrence multiple micro crack.

This paper presents a half precast strain-hardening cementitious composites (SHCC) and reinforced steel truss deck in order to develop SHCC and reinforced concrete composite slabs. The developed half precast decks were evaluated for loading of construction stages and presented excellent flexural performances during construction stages.

In the research, there were seismically strengthened reinforced concrete composite columns by applying Strain Hardening Cementitious Composites(SHCC). The seismic performance of SHCC-RC composite columns were studied by the concepts of seismic performance-based design approaches as well as with experiments.

In this study, high-ductile and low-fiber composites have been mixed using Alkali-activated cement-free binders combined with PVA fibers of the volume fraction of 1.0~1.5%. From the direct tensile test of the composites, the low-fiber cement-free composites could exhibit high-ductile tensile behaviors about 4.0~7.0% tensile strains after cracks.

Amorphous metal fibers can improve the brittleness of concrete and enhance the shear and tensile strength of reinforced concrete (RC) members. A series of experimental studies RC composite beams with amorphous metal fiber composites were conducted, and it was shown that the RC beam with amorphous metal fiber composites could give improved flexural responses to compare with the reinforced concrete beam.

In the current study, reinforced concrete (RC) composite beams made with precast HPFC has been manufactured in order to improve bending and shear performances of the RC beams. The construction process of the precast column system was also developed in order to apply in the field construction of official building structures.

The main nutritional problem of sorghum×sudangrass hybrid silage is low quality and dry matter (DM) contents. This experiment was conducted to evaluate whether field pre-wilting treatment of sorghum×sudangrass hybrid silage increases DM content and forage quality of the silage. The experiment was a randomized complete block design with three replications. The treatments were consisted of five different wilting days: 0 day (direct cut silage), 0.5 day, 1 day, 2 days and 3 days. Sorghum×sudangrass hybrid silage with pre-wilting showed low 4.00 pH values, however direct cut silage (control) showed a 4.30 value because of its high moisture content. The DM content of sorghum×sudangrass hybrid silage with pre-wilting was high above 25.1% after 1 days, however that of direct cut silage had 17.6%. And the effluent of wilted silage was decreased with prolonged wilting period, but that of direct cut silage produced effluent of 183 mL/kg. Crude protein and ether extract with wilted silage were decreased, however crude ash was increased with prolonged wilting period. Silage with pre-wilting had higher acid detergent fiber (ADF) and neutral detergent fiber (NDF) contents than control silages, while its non-fiber carbohydrate (NFC) showed the opposite results. Lactic acid and total organic acid were increased with prolonged wilting period. For the palatability of dairy goat, silage with 2 days wilting was highest among silages. The experiment results indicate that wilted sorghum×sudangrass hybrid silage could be recommended as effective method for reducing effluent, increasing pH and forage quality more than direct cut silage. Optimum pre-wilting day of sorghum×sudangrass hybrid silage may be 1 days.
