        진공포장 한 건조발효햄에 감마선을 조사 (0, 2.5, 5, 7.5, 10 kGy)하여 저장 3개월 동안 이화학적 품질 (육색, 지방산패도, 염기태 질소화합물, pH) 및 미생물 (총균, 유산균) 생육특성을 평가하였다. 감 마선 조사는 선량이 높을수록 시료의 표면 육색인 적색도 (a*)와 관능적 육색 및 기호도를 저하시켰다. 반면에 pH, 지방산패도, 염기태 질소화합물, 수분활성도에 큰 영향을 미치지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 미 생물적 측면에서는 감마선 조사 수준이 높을수록 미생물학적 품질이 개선되었다. 관능적 측면인 풍미에 서는 저장기간 및 처리구간에 유의적 차이는 나타나지 않았지만 육색 측면에서는 5 kGy 이상에서는 낮 은 평점을 나타내었다. 따라서 건조발효햄의 저장기간을 고려할 때 미생물학적 및 이화학적 품질은 5 kGy 수준의 감마선 조사에 의해 개선되는 것으로 나타났다.

        본 연구는 사일리지 사료를 급여하였을 때 돼지 품종과 사일리지 급여 유무에 따른 등심의 품질 특성에 미치 는 영향을 평가하기 위해 실시하였다. 돼지품종은 가고시마 와타나베 흑돼지 (B), 삼원교잡종[D (Landrace× Yorkshire)× Duroc], 미국산 버크셔종(A) 등에 대해 각각 시험구와 대조구 20두씩 총120두를 공시하였으며, 개시체중은 평균 69.3± 3 kg, 시험기간은 평균 66.7± 9.3일, 출하일령은 200〜210일이었다. 사일리지를 급여하지 않은 대조구 (C)에 비해 급여한 처리구 (T)가 조단백질 함량은 많았고, 육색은 밝았으며, 신선육 관 능평가 시 외관, 육색, 상강도 및 전체적 기호도에서 높은 점수를 보였고, stearic산과 oleic산은 낮고, linoleic산, arachidonic산, 필수지방산 및 필수지방산/불포화지방산 비율은 높게 나타났다. 사일리지 급여 시 단맛 관련 아미노산 함량은 높은 장점을 지닌 반면 육색의 적색도는 낮고, 가열감량과 육즙감량은 많아 다즙성이 낮았으며, 육의 탄력성이 낮고 지방의 밝기는 어둡고 황색도가 높은 단점을 보였다.

        Titanium dioxide thin films were fabricated as hydrogen sensors and its sensing properties were tested. The titanium was deposited on a SiO2/Si substrate by the DC magnetron sputtering method and was oxidized at an optimized temperature of 850˚C in air. The titanium film originally had smooth surface morphology, but the film agglomerated to nano-size grains when the temperature reached oxidation temperature where it formed titanium oxide with a rutile structure. The oxide thin film formed by grains of tens of nanometers size also showed many short cracks and voids between the grains. The response to 1% hydrogen gas was ~2×106 at the optimum sensing temperature of 200˚C, and ~103 at room temperature. This extremely high sensitivity of the thin film to hydrogen was due partly to the porous structure of the nano-sized sensing particles. Other sensor properties were also examined.

        The hydrogen gas sensing properties of a zinc oxide nanowire structure were studied. Porous zinc oxide nanowire structures were fabricated by oxidizing zinc deposited on a single-wall carbon nanotube (SWNT) template. This revealed a porous ZnO-SWNT composite due to the porosity in the SWNT film. The gas sensing properties were compared with those of zinc oxide thin films deposited on SiO2/Si substrates in sensitivity and operating temperature. The composite structure showed higher sensitivity and lower operating temperature than the zinc oxide film. It showed a response even at room temperature while the film structure did not.

        A simple method to deposit carbon nanotube films uniformly on large area substrates using an arc discharge method is reported in this paper. The arc discharge method was modified to deposit carbon nanotube films in situ on the substrates. The substrates were scanned several times over the arcing point for a uniform film thickness. Deposition was carried out under variable dc bias conditions at 600 torr of H2 gas. The thickness uniformity of the single-wall carbon nanotube films as characterized by a four-point probe was within 30% deviation. The morphology and crystal quality of the single-wall carbon nanotube film were also characterized by field emission scanning electron microscopy and Raman spectroscopy.

        The direction of revising the Law of Criminal Punishment Execution should consider the very idea of the Constitution. In concrete, the rights of the convicted criminals should be protected in the name of their basic rights which are guaranteed in the Constitution. Many revisions have been done in the law of criminal punishment execution in a way that the law protected inmates' basic rights but still many things left untouched. Basically it is true that correctional laws tend to permit inclusive discretionary power of authorities in order to control and supervise troublesome criminals. In turn, the inclusive discretionary power gives room for authorities to overuse the power and results in the violation of constitutional rights of inmates. To resolve the conflicts between the idea that inmates have their consitutional rights and it should be protected in the one hand, and the reality that basic rights of inmates could be confined as necessary on the other hand, we should discuss more concretely about the scopes and ranges of inmates' rights and the valid criteria for limiting their rights. and the execution law should reflect this efforts.

        With a high-industrialized society and proliferating of nuclear family system, our society has been experiencing a breakdown of public morals and the values relevant to traditional family system. In addition, crimes have been increasing in number. It is believed that a rapid economic growth and the actualization of information-oriented society are a shortcut to the welfare state. However, we are facing its side-effects and an expansion of discontent of the underprivileged. In the rapidly changing society, criminals' ages are becoming lower and especially offenders who are in middle age are increasing. Moreover, the released prisoners are convicted of another crime. Therefore, the criminal policy focuses on the crime prevention and rehabilitation of offenders. Since the later 19th century, the study on re-offender and their rehabilitation have been conducted. The vicious circle of crime proves that correction and the social protection policy for released prisoners may be ineffective. The recent trends for prevention of re-offending is going from the institutional detention to community treatment, which is the development of the probation system. The national probation system is very important to protect the released prisoners. It is natural that the rehabilitation system is a fundamental of criminal policy and a special deterrence against recidivism in crime prevention system. In addition, it is settled down as the most traditional social protection step of community treatment. The first purpose of this study is creation of sound social climate through the prevention of reconviction by released prisoners and seeking for the role of the rehabilitation system in order to give effective supports to them. The second purpose is to examine the relationship between prevention of re-offending and rehabilitation system in details, and to investigate the realities and problems of rehabilitation for released prisoners. The final purpose is to find a way to revitalize rehabilitation system by analyzing critically the directions and programs of the Korea Rehabilitation Agencies.
