EU taxonomy requires to solve problems for safe management of radioactive waste and disposal of spent fuel, which is a precondition for growing demand for nuclear power plant. Currently, Korea manages about 18,000 tons of high-level radioactive waste at temporary storage facilities in nuclear power plant sites, but such temporary storage facilities are expected to become saturated sequentially from 2031. Therefore, it is necessary to secure a permanent disposal facility to safely treat high-level radioactive waste. In accordance with the second basic plan for high-level radioactive waste management in 2021, it is necessary to establish requirements for regulatory compliance for the site selection and site acquisition, investigation and evaluation, and construction for the establishment of a deep geological disposal facility. In this study, we analyzed the regulatory policies and cases of leading foreign countries related to deep geological disposal facilities for high-level radioactive waste disposal waste such as IAEA, USA, Sweden, and Finland using data analysis methodology. To analyze a large amount of textbased document data, text mining is applied as a major technology and a verification standard that secures validity and safety based on the regulatory laws described so far is developed to establish a regulatory base suitable for domestic deep geological disposal status. Based on the collected data, preprocessing and analysis with Python were performed. Keywords and their frequency were extracted from the data through keyword analysis. Through the measured frequency values, the contents of the objects and elements to be regulated in the statutory items were grasped. And through the frequency values of words co-occurring among different sections through the analysis of related words, the association was obtained, and the overall interpretation of the data was performed. The results of analyzing regulations of major foreign countries using text mining are visualized in charts and graphs. Word cloud can intuitively grasp the contents by extracting the main keywords of the contents of the regulations. Through the network connection graph, the relationship between related words can be visually structured to interpret data and identify the causal relationship between words. Based on the result data, it is possible to compare and analyze the factors to be supplemented by analyzing domestic nuclear safety case and regulations.
Callipogon relictus, a natural monument, is an insect whose life cycle was assumed to take more than 5 years in nature. Winter is a very harsh season, but it is known to be a crucial condition for many insects’ growth. However, no information is known about the overwintering condition and its effects on C. relictus. To understand the overwintering effects on the growth of C. relictus, we investigated the growth patterns of its larvae in indoor conditions after chilling treatment. The larvae were induced to dormancy at low temperature (4°C) for two months, and put them into 10°C for two weeks to break dormancy. After awakening, the temperature was increased 15°C, 20°C to 25°C at a time, and the larvae were kept for two weeks at each temperature. The larvae were divided into 3 groups (3rd to 5th instar, 6th to 8th instar, 9th to last instar). Lastly, head width and weight of the larvae were measured every 30 days under 25°C condition, and mortality and deformity were counted as well. The mortality and deformity rates were the highest in the first group, and the rates decreased toward the last group. On the other hands, growth rate appeared opposite to mortality and deformity rate of each larval group.
흑마늘을 새로운 기능성 식품의 재료로 사용하기 위하 여 흑마늘 분말을 첨가한 옐로우 레이어 케이크를 제조 하여 비중, 점도, 색도, 텍스처 및 관능검사와 같은 품질 특성을 조사하였다. 반죽의 비중은 흑마늘의 첨가량에 상관없이 모든 실험구에서 유의적인 차이를 보이지 않았 으며, 반죽의 점도는 31,315~41,048 cP로 흑마늘 분말 첨가량이 증가할수록 증가하였다. 케이크의 pH는 7.54~ 6.18로 흑마늘 분말 첨가량이 증가함에 따라 유의적으로 감소하는 경향을 보였으며, 케이크의 높이 또한 6.14~ 5.62 cm로 흑마늘 분말 첨가량이 증가 할수록 유의적으 로 감소하는 경향을 보였다. 케이크의 비용적은 5%, 10% 첨가구에서는 대조구와 차이를 보이지 않았으나 15% 첨가구에서는 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 케이크 색도를 측정한 결과 L값은 흑마늘 분말의 첨가량이 증가 함에 따라 대조구에 비하여 감소하는 경향을 나타내었으 며, a값은 흑마늘 분말 첨가량이 많을수록 증가하는 경 향을 보였다. b값의 경우 crust에서는 흑마늘 분말의 첨 가량이 증가할수록 감소하는 경향을 보였으나 crumb과 batter에서는 증가하다가 감소하는 경향을 나타내었다. 조직감을 측정한 결과 견고성, 부착성 및 응집성은 흑마 늘 분말의 첨가 비율이 증가할수록 점차적으로 증가하였 다. 관능검사 결과 전체적인 기호도는 5% 첨가구에서 가 장 높은 것으로 나타났다.
The biodegradation of high concentration of benzoate by enrichment culture with Pseudomonas sp. was investigated. During 50 days continuous culture, average of removal rate of benzoate and COD were 90% and 83%, respectively. And the enzymatic activity of catechal 2,3-dioxygenase was determined in the continuous culture but not Catechol 1,2-dioxygenase. On the other hand, Pseudomonas sp in the culture was investigated with SEM and the result was revealed that the cell shape was more demage according the higher concentration of benzoate.
From 120 soil and activated sludge, the strains able to grow on Benzoate and m-Toluate have been isolated after selective enrichment which were later identified as Psudomonas sp. according to its morphological and biochemical characteristics. Ben-2 strain contained two plasmid DNA having about 120 Kb and below 2.0 Kb by agarose gel electrophoresis. Form the comparative investigation of catechol 1,2-oxygenase and catechol 2,3-oxygenase activities in Ben-2 strain and its cured strain, Ben-2 strain has both of these two enzymes while cured strain has catechol 1,2-oxygenase only.
