        This study investigates the applicability of place attachment theory in digital environments by analyzing Steam user reviews of the narrative game <Life is Strange>. A total of 6,267 English reviews were collected, and location-related sentences were extracted and classified using BERT-based sentence embeddings. Based on established theoretical frameworks, the sentences were categorized into four components of place attachment: place dependence, affective attachment, place identity, and conative response. The analysis revealed that affective attachment (24.8%) and place identity (24.0%) were most prevalent, indicating strong emotional and identity-based engagement with in-game spaces. In contrast, place dependence and conative responses were less frequent. These findings demonstrate that narrative-driven game environments can evoke place attachment comparable to that formed in physical spaces. This study further supports the methodological potential of combining user-generated text and semantic modeling for analyzing emotional responses to digital places.

        목적 : 본 연구에서는 우세안 검사법 중 하나인 Hole-in-the-card법을 이용하여 우세안을 검출하고 대비도에 따른 우세안 및 비우세안의 시력을 비교해 보고자 하였다. 방법 : 안과적 질환이 없는 20대 성인 남녀 60명을 대상으로 Hole-in-the-card법을 시행하였고, 100% 고 대비시표와 10% 저대비시표를 이용하여 각 대비도에서의 시력을 측정하여 비교하였다. 결과 : 대상자의 우세안과 비우세안의 평균 고대비시력(대비도 100%)은 각각 0.07±0.05 logMAR, 0.11±0.13 logMAR이며, 평균 저대비시력(대비도 10%)는 평균 저대비시력의 각각 0.31±0.09 logMAR, 0.27±0.08 logMAR로 고대비시력은 우세안이 비우세안에 비해 우수하게 측정되었고(p=0.049), 저대비시력은 비우세안이 우세안에 비해 더 우수하게 측정되었다(p=0.003). 고대비시표와 저대비시표에서 같은 방향의 눈의 시력이 우수하게 측정된 경우의 양안의 시력 차는 0.16±0.23 logMAR였고, 고대비시표와 저대비시표에서 우수하게 측정 된 눈의 방향이 달라진 경우의 양안의 시력 차는 0.05±0.00 logMAR로 나타났다. 결론 : 우세안은 비우세안에 비해 고대비시력이 우수하게 측정되었지만 고대비에서 양안의 시력 차이는 저대비 시력에 영향을 줄 수 있으므로 교정 시 환경 및 시생활의 목적에 따라 반드시 고려해야 할 것으로 사료된다.

        Exudative epidermitis (EE) is a generalized skin disease of pigs, mainly caused by Staphylococcus hyicus (S. hyicus). Antibiotic resistant S. hyicus leads to the failure of antimicrobial treatments. This necessitates proper identification of the strains in the field and determination of their antimicrobial susceptibility. This study was carried out to isolate Korean S. hyicus and determine its antimicrobial resistance. Isolate was sensitive to ceftiofur, ciprofloxacin, enrofloxacin, gentamicin, neomycin, and tylosin, but remarkably resistant to amoxicillin, lincomycin, penicillin, streptomycin, and tetracycline. Our study contributes to the understanding of the characteristics and antimicrobial resistance of Korean S. hyicus, which in turn will provide an antimicrobial treatment strategy to control EE.

        The Korean Solar Radio Burst Locator (KSRBL) is a solar radio spectrograph observing the broad frequency range from 0.245 to 18 GHz with the capability of locating wideband gyrosynchrotron bursts. Due to the characteristics of a spiral feed, the beam center varies in a spiral pattern with frequency, making a modulation pattern over the wideband spectrum. After a calibration process, we obtained dynamic spectra consistent with the Nobeyama Radio Polarimeter (NoRP). We compared and analyzed the locations of bursts observed by KSRBL with results from the Nobeyama Radioheliograph (NoRH) and Atmospheric Imaging Assembly (AIA). As a result, we found that the KSRBL provides the ability to locate flaring sources on the Sun within around 2′.

        Herb extracts commercially used in Korea were screened for PPAR-γ agonist test and α-glucosidase inhibition assay. Total 16 herb plants had a PPAR-γ agonist activity. Specially, Alisma orientale Juz (108.41%), Ephedra sinica (98.22%), Sasa japonica Makino var. purpurascens Nakai (140.68%), Astragalus membranaceus Bunge (106.79%) and Cnidium officinale Makino (113.00%) showed high PPAR-γ agonist activity rate compared with rosiglitazone's (167.46%). And Cornus officinalis S. et Z. (90.3%), Cinnamomum cassia Blume (89.2%), Psoralea corylifolia L. (89.8%), Paeonia japonica (Makino) Miyabe (92.4%) and Paeonia suffruticosa Andr (93.2%), showed high α-glucosidase inhibition rates. These results support previous reports of the efficacy of Oriental medicinal plants used for diabetes mellitus.
