        This paper reports the absorption capacity of super-absorbent polymer (SAP) in water and cement pore solution. This was considered for the free water requirement for self-desiccation when the amount of internal water reduced. The physical state of particles selected from a super-absorbent polymer sample with a particle size distribution 150 μm (SAP-I) and less than 850 μm (SAP-II) monomers acrylic acid were tested at SAP 0.1g contents and time in minute 0.5, 1, 3, 5, 10, 30, and 60. The test was determined by using tea bag test method. As a result, the size of the polymers particles has a significant effect on the absorption kinetics of these polyacrylate-based polymers.

        활석은 T-O-T 구조의 함수 마그네슘 층상규산염 광물로서, 화학적 안정성과 흡착성 등의 특성을 가지고 있어 다양한 산업분야에서 첨가제, 코팅제 등으로 활용되어 왔다. 최근 나노 복합체의 안정성 향상을 위한 첨가제로서 활석 나노입자가 각광받고 있다. 본 연구에서는 고에너지 볼 밀을 이용하여 기계적인 방법으로 활석 나노입자를 형성하고, 분쇄시간에 따른 입자크기 및 결정도의 변화를 알아보고자 하였다. X-선 회절 분석 결과, 분쇄가 진행됨에 따라 활석의 피크 폭이 점진적으로 증가하여720분 분쇄 후, 활석은 비정질에 가까운 X-선 회절패턴을 보여준다. 레이저회절 입도 분석 결과, 약12 μm이었던 활석의 입도는 분쇄가 진행됨에 따라 약 0.45 μm까지 감소하였으나, 120분 이상 분쇄를진행하여도 뚜렷한 입도의 감소가 관찰되지 않았다. 반면, BET 비표면적은 분쇄 720분까지 꾸준히 증가하여, 분쇄에 따른 입도 또는 형태의 변화가 지속적으로 일어남을 지시한다. 주사전자현미경 및 투과전자현미경 관찰 결과, 720분 분쇄 후 약 100~300 nm 내외의 층상형 입자들이 마이크로 스케일의응집체로 존재함을 확인하였다. 이와 같은 결과는 분쇄시간이 증가함에 따라 활석의 입자크기 및 형태는 지속적으로 변화하지만, 나노입자의 특성상 재응집이 일어나 마이크로 크기의 응집체를 형성하고 있음을 지시한다. 또한 활석의 분쇄에서 판의 크기, 즉 a축, b축 방향의 길이는 감소 한계가 존재하며, 분쇄가 진행될수록 판의 두께, 즉 c축 방향의 길이 감소가 주된 분쇄 메커니즘으로 생각된다. 본연구의 결과는 나노 활석의 형성 메커니즘에 대한 이해를 고양할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

        흉부 단층 합성검사(Chest Digital Tomosynthesis, DTS)시 환자 체형에 따른 0.3 mm 구리 필터의 적용 및 AEC의 감도 변화에 의한 유효선량감소 효과와 폐 결절 검출능력을 평가하여 선량 최적화 조건을 평가하고자 한다. 8개의 인공 결절을 인체 팬텀 폐 영역내에 삽입하고 0.3 mm 구리 필터 적용 유무, 감도 변화에 따라 팬텀의 DTS 영상을 각각 획득하였다. 환자 체형에 따른 비교를 위해 팬텀 사이즈를 세 그룹으로 분류하여 small size에서는 결절이 삽입된 인체 팬텀을 단독으로 사용하였고 Average size에서는 한 개의 PMMA를, Large size에서는 두 개의 PMMA를 인체팬텀 후방에 밀착하여 위치시켰다. 유효선량은 몬테카를로 시뮬레이션을 이용하여 계산 되었고 영상의 화질평가를 위해서 CNR과 SNR 측정을 통한 정량 평가와 인공결절 검출 수를 통한 검출민감도로 정성평가를 시행하였다. 모든 데이터는 통계학적으로 분석하였다. 유효선량은 Small size일 때 26 µSv, Average size 70µSv, Large size 133µSv 감소하였다. 유효선량은 0.3mm 구리 필터의 적용 여부에 따라 유의한 차이가 있었다(p<0.05). 정량적 화질 평가에서는 0.3mmCu필터 사용 시 CNR과 SNR 모두 통계적으로 유의한 차이는 없었다(p>0.05). 또한 정성적 화질평가에서도 결절 검출 민감도는 팬텀 사이즈별 전체 그룹에서 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 없었다(p>0.05). DTS에서 0.3 mmCu필터의 사용은 폐 결절 검출에서 진단적 가치를 유지하면서 환자 피폭선량 감소효과를 얻을 수 있다. 또한 실험에서 Large size 그룹의 경우 유효선량 감소 정도가 두드러진 점으로 보아 실제 체형이 큰 환자의 경우 0.3 mm Cu필터 사용은 더 높은 유효선량 감소 효과를 기대 할 수 있을 것이라 사료된다

        Organic agriculture seeks sustainable agriculture. Organic agriculture is based on circulating agriculture of a family farm unit. However, as of the end of 2016, only 33 out of the total organic farming farms were implementing Crop-Livestock cycling organic farming. The reason seems to be a matter of income after all. The optimal size combination refers to the scale by which family farms can maintain their quality of life while engaging in farming activities. In other words. it is a farm scale that maintains optimal income through stable labor costs. In the meantime, there has been no previous study on the optimal economical combination of Crop-Livestock cycling farming. Choi (2016) analyzed whether the economies of scope (EOS) were realized in the combined production by using the management data of the farmers who practiced Crop-Livestock cycling organic farming for four years. As a result, it has been revealed that the EOS measurement value is 0 or more so the economies of scope are being realized. Therefore, the purpose of this empirical analysis is to identify farm incomes under this circumstance. It is assumed that the optimum production is achieved by balancing the total income curve and the total cost curve in the optimal scale production range. The results of the analysis are as follows. First, the income after the conversion to Crop-Livestock cycling farming was 44,789,280 won, the sum of the seedling-livestock sector, which was 17,873,120 won higher when the non-Crop-Livestock cycling farming was assumed. The same is true for 2014 and 2015. The reason for this is that pig droppings were composted from organic seedlings, and the cost of selling pork was 150,000 won/per pig more expensive even though the manufacturing cost of organic feeds was higher than the purchasing cost. Secondly, this study simulated the result that the economic index varies when the farm size combination is changed by the farm size of 100% standard (S100) as of 2014. S130 is the increase in size from 100% of 2014, whereas S30 is the result of 3ha crop and 66 livestock (pigs). As a result of this simulation, Crop-Livestock cycling farming income decreased more than non-Crop-Livestock cycling farming as the farm size decreased, whereas the income decreased as the farm size increased. When the size was reduced below S50, the income tended to decrease. In this situation, EOS changed in the same direction. The results showed that when the farming size was reorganized and reduced to 50% compared to 2014, the income and income difference was the highest. At the same time, economies of scope (EOS) were the highest at 0.12985. In other words, it was found that the income of farm houses in a family farm unit sector was the best in the combination of 1.5ha crop agriculture and 110 livestock (pigs).

        To diversify the grain size and shape of japonica rice, we developed the Breeding Materials with Diverse Grain Size and Shape (BM_DGS) and characterized the grain and yield-related traits. We used the donor parents Jizi1560 and Jizi1581, japonica germplasm with extremely large grain size. Four cross combinations between the each donor parents and Korean high yielding japonica rice cultivars, Deuraechan and Boramchan, were constructed and anther culture method was applied. Among 290 doubled haploid lines, we selected 91 elite lines with diverse grain size and shape and designated to the BM_DGS. The grain size and shape of BM_DGS exhibited beyond the characteristics of previously developed Korean rice cultivars. The alleles of major grain-related genes, GW2, GS3, and qSW5, in BM_DGS showed two types, wild type or loss-of-function mutant type. The loss-of-function mutant alleles, gw2, gs3, and qsw5, had an effect on increasing grain size. The phenotypic variation of grain length was mostly controlled by GS3 alleles, and grain width and thickness were influenced by the combinations of GW2 and qSW5 alleles. 1,000-grain weight was determined by the combinations of GW2, GS3, and qSW5. The grain-related genes influenced the phenotypic variation of yield-related traits. The result of this study could be useful to elucidate the relationship between the grain-related genes and agronomic traits. And the BM_DGS are being utilized in the breeding programs to diversify the grain size and shape in japonica rice.

        본 연구에서는 영양학적 가치가 높은 쌀귀리의 식품산업 이용률을 높이고자 쌀귀리를 입도별로 제조하여 이들의 이화학적 특성 및 항산화 활성을 비교하였다. 쌀귀리의 조 단백질, 조지방 및 조회분 함량이 각각 15.7%, 10.0% 및 1.8%이었으며, 입도가 작아질수록 이들의 함량은 감소하였다. 주요 유리아미노산은 비필수아미노산 중에서는 cystine(58.3 mg%), β-aminoisobutyric acid(53.8 mg%) 등, 필수아미노산 중에서는 phenylalanine(8.6 mg%)과 histidine (12.2 mg%)이었으며, 입도가 작아질수록 함량은 감소하였다. 총 전분, 아밀로스, 손상전분, 총 식이섬유, β-glucan 및 총 유리당 함량은 각각 56.4%, 21.4%, 11.7%, 11.0%, 4.7% 및 2,555.3 mg%이었으며, 입도가 작아질수록 총 전분, 아밀로스 및 손상전분의 함량은 감소한 반면에 총 식이섬유 와 β-glucan의 함량은 증가하였다. 색도는 L 값이 75.3, a 값이 0.3 및 b 값이 13.1이었으며, 입도가 작아질수록 L 값은 증가하였으나 a와 b 값은 감소하였다. 호화특성은 최고점도가 263.8 RVU, 최저점도가 155.6 RVU 및 최종점도가 399.3 RVU이었으며, 입도가 작아질수록 최고점도와 최종점도는 증가하였다. TPC, TFC 및 항산화 활성(DPPH radical assay, ABTS radical cation assay 및 reducing power) 은 각각 237.8 μg/g, 90.9 μg/g, 57.3%, 53.4% 및 0.23이었으며, 입도가 작아질수록 항산화 성분 및 항산화 활성은 감소 하였다. 한편 TPC와 TFC에 관한 각 항산화 활성의 결정계수(correlation determination coefficient, R2) 값이 각각 0.87 이상과 0.81 이상으로 나타나 항산화 성분과 항산화 활성은 상관성을 보였다.

        꿈의 암치료기라고 불리는 중입자 치료는 환자의 암세포에 입사하여 암세포만을 사멸하고 사라지는데 이때 중성자 및 감마선이 발생되어 치료실 내 영상장비, 그 밖의 전자장비에 영향을 미치게 된다. 중입자 치료시설을 구축하기 위해서는 약 2,000억 원 가량의 예산이 필요하며 구축기간도 5년 이상 소요된다. 따 라서 구축 전 몬테카를로 시뮬레이션을 이용하여 치료실 내 선량 분포에 대해 관찰하여 적절한 대비를 하 는 것이 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 몬테카를로 시뮬레이션 툴인 FLUKA를 이용하여 중입자 치료 시 치료실 내 선량분포에 대해 알아보았으며 1분 치료 시 치료실 내에는 약 0.1 mSv에서 2 pSv 정도의 영향이 있을 것으로 파악되었다.

        The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of container size on growth of Zelkova serrata, Acer palmatum, Crataegus pinnatifida, Pinus densiflora, Chionanthus retusus, Ilex serrata, Viburnum erosum, and Hibiscus syriacus in container. This study used 22 L, 38 L, and 52 L container and measured seedling height, root collar diameter, seeding quality index (SQI), biomass. Acer palmatum, Pinus densiflora and Ilex serrata were high in 22, Crataegus pinnatifida in 38 L, and Zelkova serrata, Chionanthus retusus, Viburnum erosum, and Hibiscus syriacus in 52 L regarding the relative growth of height and root diameter in statistical significance. The H/D ratio was fine for Zelkova serrata, Pinus densiflora, Chionanthus retusus, Ilex serrata at 22 L, Acer palmatum and Crataegus pinnatifida for 38 L, and Viburnum erosum and Hibiscus syriacus for 52 L. Seeding Weight of Acer palmatum, Pinus densiflora was heavy at 22 L. Chionanthus retusus, Ilex serrata, Viburnum erosum, Hibiscus syriacus were heavy at 38 L, Zelkova serrata, and Crataegus pinnatifida were heavy at 52 L. Zelkova serrata, Crataegus pinnatifida, Pinus densiflora, and Ilex serrata were fine at 22 L, Acer palmatum, Chionanthus retusus, Viburnum erosum at 38 L, Hibiscus syriacus at 52 L about T/R ratio. For SQI, Acer palmatum, and Pinus densiflora were high in 22 L, Chionanthus retusus, Ilex serrata, and Viburnum erosum in 38 L, Zelkova serrata, Crataegus pinnatifida, and Hibiscus syriacus in 52 L. Seedling quality was considered to be appropriate when the growth was balanced between the above and below ground. As a result, it is effective to cultivate Acer palmatum and Pinus densiflora at 22 L, Chionanthus retusus, Ilex serrata, and Viburnum erosum at 38 L, and Zelkova serrata, Crataegus pinnatifida, and Hibiscus syriacus at 52 L.

        As an interpretation of existing jamming effects, the main variables affecting the increase in stiffness due to jamming are known as system density, jamming density, pressure, and particulate temperature. The main variable, jamming density, is closely related to the distribution of particle size and contact properties such as particle shape and friction. However, the complexity of these variables makes it difficult to fully understand the mechanism of the jamming effect. In this paper, we focus on the jamming effects of particles that have more elastic properties than particles such as sand and coffee powder, which are commonly used as constituent particles of existing jamming, in order to reduce complicated factors such as temperature and concentrate on jamming effects based on elastic characteristics of particles. It was experimentally explored the possibility of increasing stiffness by mixing particles of different sizes rather than simply increasing the bending stiffness by controlling the particle size. Through simulations and experiments, we found a case where the stiffness of each particle size distribution is larger than the stiffness of each particle size.

        This study is an analytical research on the size effect of concrete flexural-compressive strength. The meso-scale finite element method was used to analyze various sizes of specimens. As a result of the analysis, the size effect that the flexural-compressive strength becomes smaller as the size of specimen becomes bigger is analytically confirmed.

        조영제의 혈관외유출을 한번이라도 경험한 방사선사들은 혈관외유출의 발생에 대한 두려움으로 검사하 는 동안 정신적 고통을 수반하게 된다. 환자의 경우 심한 신체적, 정신적 고통과 의료진 및 의료에 대한 불 신을 갖게 되므로 미연에 예방할 수 있는 방안의 마련이 무엇보다 필요하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 조영제 주입 시 압력인 PSI를 낮추어 혈관외유출을 예방하고자 하며 그 방안으로 자동주입기와 환자의 정맥주사 바늘에 연결되는 Y자 형태의 연결관(connecting tube)의 직경에 따른 조영제 주입 시 PSI의 변화를 비교 분 석하고자 하였다. Y형태의 연결관 직경이 약 2 mm 정도인 A제품의 경우 전체 평균 연령의 PSI는 98.5, 표 준편차 9.72로 나타났다. 연결관 직경 약 3 mm 정도인 B제품의 경우 전체 연령의 평균 PSI는 62.0, 표준편 차 8.59로 나타났다. 이것은 직경이 더 넓은 B제품의 경우 A제품과 비교했을 때 평균압력이 37.05% 감소한 결과이다.

        Soybean [Glycine max (L.) Merr.] is an important source for protein, oil, carbohydrates, isoflavones, and many other nutrients to humans and animals. Lipoxygenase protein is the main antinutritional factor in mature soybean seed. Soybean cultivar, "Choseon" with yellow medium seed size and free of lipoxygenase 2,3 protein was developed. "Choseon" was selected from the population derived from the cross between cultivar, "Jinpum 2" and germplasm, PI408155. "Choseon" has purple flowers, tawny pubescence, a determinate growth habit, and light yellow pods at maturity. The seed of "Choseon" has yellow hilum and yellow seed coat color. Seed protein and oil content on a dry weight basis were 34.2 and 16.9%, respectively. "Choseon" has shown a resistant reaction to soybean necrosis, soybean mosaic virus, Cercospora leaf spot and blight, black root rot, pod and stem blight, and bacterial pustule. "Choseon" matured in 5 October with plant height of 51 cm and a 100-seed weight of 15.1 g. Average yield of "Choseon" was 2.66 (Ton/ha) on the regional yield trials of 2013 at 4 locations. "Choseon" has been registered as a soybean cultivar (registration number: 5985, registration date: April 11, 2016) by Korea Seed & Variety Service, Republic of Korea.

        This study was aimed to investigate the effect of aggregate size on the tensile behavior of highly ductile fiber-reinforced cementitious composites. Partial applying 5.6mm coarse aggregate instead of micro silica sand was considered. It was revealed that the fiber-reinforced cementitous composites with 5.6 mm coarse aggregate as well as micro silica sand still showed enough tensile strain capacity more than 5% and limited crack width less than 150 ㎛.

        To understand the changes in physical parameters and phytoplankton size structure caused by tides, a fixed station in the Youngsan River estuary was monitored at 2-h intervals, on April 28, 2012 and August 12, 2012. No clear relationship was observed between the temperature and salinity changes and tidal levels in April. However, in August, temperature decreased during the ebb tide and increased during the flood tide, while salinity showed the opposite trend. In addition, there was no specific change in the phytoplankton biomass corresponding to tidal levels in April. In August, the total chlorophyll a and the biomass of net phytoplankton (>20μm ) increased almost 20 times during the ebb tide and decreased during the flood tide. The biomass of nanophytoplankton (<20μm ) showed a similar variation in response to tidal level changes. In April, the relationship between percent contributions of phytoplankton size structure and tidal levels was not clear. In August, the net phytoplankton was dominant in the early stage and nanophytoplankton was dominant in the later stage, while contribution of nanophytoplankton and net phytoplankton increased at high tide and low tide, respectively. Therefore, in April, other factors such as freshwater discharge were more important than the tide, whereas in August, when no freshwater discharge was recorded, the changes in semidiurnal tides influenced the physical parameters and phytoplankton dynamics. These results could contribute to the understanding of phytoplankton dynamics in the Youngsan River estuary.

        This study is an experimental program developed to estimate the effect of size on the shear performance of reinforced concrete (RC) beams with stirrups made from recycled coarse aggregates (RCA). The test was conducted on eight RC beams with shear reinforcement, and the main variables were section size and RCA replacement ratio (Rr = 0% or 30%). The tension reinforcement ratio (ρ = 0.012), shear span-to-depth ratio (a/d = 1.5), and width-to-depth ratio (h/b = 1.5) were fixed. Empirical test results, theoretical results, and code calculations were compared for each specimen. The results demonstrated that the empirical test results of each sample compared favorably with the theoretical calculations within a sufficient safety margin (1.32-2.61). Also, a comparison between RCA-RC beams with Rr = 30% and RC beams containing natural coarse aggregates (NCAs) showed that the two beams exhibited similar load-displacement curves and shear strengths. Consequently, RCA-RC beams made using a RCA replacement ratio of up to 30% do not cause safety or serviceability problems.

        In this study, we investigated variations in particle size distribution in the process flow from a fluff-SRF manufacturing process in Y city via particle size analysis of waste. About 110 kg of MSW was analyzed in accordance with the process flows for the analysis of the particle size distribution by separating from 300 mm to 10 mm. The first tranche of waste was crushed with a primary crusher such that 100% of particles were smaller than 200 mm. A secondary crusher was used to ensure that 90% of particles were smaller than 10 mm. The crushing function and disintegration effect resulted in waste that contained 30% particles smaller than 10 mm. The primary multistage bulk selection process separated the first non-combustibles from waste passed by the secondary crusher. It produced 19.24% non-combustibles. Secondary multistage bulk selection discharges the final set of non-combustibles from the first non-combustibles after recovering any remaining combustibles. The combustible recovery ratio was 28.24%, and the final non-combustible discharge ratio was about 71.76%. The regular and high-speed disintegrators exhibited 85% and 97% efficiency in producing waste smaller than then 50 mm, respectively. This is thought to improve the yield and quality of SRF in the context of a reasonable management plan via characteristic analysis of residues from the disintegration process.
