The light trespass problem still has not been solved for a long time because of the complex influences of the reflection or overlap lights. To solve the light trespass problem, the assessment of the characteristics of the spilt light carry out firstly. In this study, we estimated the light trespass reducing performance of various load lightings using by RELUX lighting simulation program. In the simulation program, we designed the lighting environment according to the streetlight installation guideline by the ministry of land, transport and maritime affairs. And we estimated the light trespass caused by roadway lighting from first floor position to fourth floor position. And we compare the light trespass caused by back light of the roadway lighting with the light trespass caused by forward light. Then we estimated the effect of light trespass by improving the light distribution of roadway lighting from Backlight rating 3 to Backlight rating zero. From the research, we find that the light trespass caused by roadway lighting maximize at the first floor position of the house. And the light trespass contribution rate by backlight and forward light is 66 percentage and 33 percentage respectively. And we estimated that the light trespass can be decreased about 40 % by improving the backlight. The result derived from this research will be helpful to establish the light pollution reduction plan to minimize the adverse effect by the spilt light from the roadway lighting.
In recently, a growing concern for the health of urban residents increased interests in a variety of outdoor activities simply be done in terms of cost and time. They are specially interested in low-impact and safe exercises around residential or working area. Walking is the one of easily doing exercise in daytime or nighttime near residential area. The sidewalks of boulevard near the residential area is the best place for exercise because of easy access and the green space with roadside trees. However, if the nighttime is not guaranteed the proper lighting condition, the possibility of exposure to crime and the threat to pedestrian safety can be increased. Because roadside trees are one of the potential obstacle for lighting condition, supplementary lightings are important to mitigate interruption for safety. To meet such a need, the purpose of this study is to propose a simulation approach which improves lighting condition on sidewalks of boulevard with variety of roadside trees. To do so, the simulation approach is applied for analyzing the interrupted condition by classified five standard types of roadside trees considering the growth of them and finding optimal layout of supplementary luminaires by lighting types. The results of this approach shows that it is useful for assessing the safety of pedestrian in nighttime.
The uniformity of lighting distribution on the roadway is essential factor for drivers and pedestrians's safety during nighttime in urban streets. Also, the importance of roadside trees is one of the growing concern for better citizens' health and mitigating environmental impact on the urban street. But roadway lightings and roadside trees have different design or planting standards and they are not integrated in the systemic viewpoint for better safety of users during nighttime. The purpose of this study is to propose a simulation approach which assesses lighting quality in the view of illumination uniformity distribution of roadway lighting from design step and consider the layout of roadside trees. For improving lighting quality of roadway, simulation approach is needed for assessing the impact of diverse planting situation of trees and encouraged from beginning of design step for roadway construction.
The purpose of this study is to propose a simulation approach which compares lighting quality of each luminaire type for small urban park users' safety. For improving illumination quality, lighting intensity distribution of a luminaire is one of the important factors and it is also important to set the luminaire to a proper position. To achieve the best plan for illumination, it is most important to communicate the plan with designers of park and professional engineers in depth and the communication continues from the beginning of the plan.
야간 조명은 건강과 복지에 대한 인간의 욕구를 야간시간의 활용을 통하여 충족시킬 수 있도록 도와주고 있다. 또한 조명은 경관의 활성화와 미적 공간 창출의 유용한 도구로 이용되고 있어 근린공원에서의 조명은 주간과 다른 분위기를 제공하여 이용자들의 만족도를 높여주고 있다. 하지만 위험 요인을 가지고 있는 공원에서는 심미적 효과뿐만 아니라 이용자들의 보행 안전을 위한 야간 조명설계의 중요성이 강조된다. 본 연구는 야간 근린공원 이용자들의 보행 안전을 고려한 조명설계를 위하여 시뮬레이션 접근법을 이용하여 대안 조명품질을 비교한다. 기존에 설치된 조명기구와 타 조명기구를 시뮬레이션으로 비교함으로써 조명설계시 시뮬레이션 접근법의 유용성을 제안한다.
기술의 발전은 인간의 생활시간을 늘리는데 큰 역할을 하고 있다. 특히 조명 분야의 발전은 야간시간을 주간시간과 같이 늘리는데 지대한 역할을 하고 있다. 현재 야간의 활동 시간을 넓히는데 우요한 역할을 하던 조명의 역할이 경관의 활성화와 미적 공간 의 창출로 활용되고 있다. 또한 야간 조명은 건강과 복지에 대한 인간의 욕구를 야간 시간의 활용을 통하여 충족시킬 수 있도록 도와주고 있다. 이러한 상황에서 근린공원 의 야간 시간 이용자들이 늘어나고 있으며 야간 조명이 근린공원 이용자들의 만족도를 향상시키는 중요한 도구로 작용하고 있다. 본 연구는 근린공원 이용의 만족도와 안전성을 높이는 야간 조명의 배치를 법적 기준에 근거한 평면적 접근법에서 수목의 배치와 생육상태를 고려한 입체적 접근법으로 시뮬레이션 접근법을 제안한다.
