        This paper investigates the effects of aspect ratio and volume fraction of hooked-end normal-strength steel fibers on the compressive and flexural properties of high-strength concrete with specified compressive strength of 60 MPa. Three types of hooked-end steel fibers with aspect ratios of 64, 67 and 80 were considered and three volume fractions of 0.25%, 0.50% and 0.75% for each steel fiber were respectively added into each high-strength concrete mixture. The test results indicated that the addition of normal-strength steel fibers is effective to improve compressive and flexural properties of high-strength concrete but fiber aspect ratio had little effect on the modulus of elasticity and compressive strength. As steel fiber content and aspect ratio increased, flexural beahvior of notched high-strength concrete beams was effectively improved.

        In Jeju Island, red sea bream is mainly caught by long line with a live squid as bait. The movements of artificial jigs in the fishery are supposed to be an important factor for catching the target organism as well as bait. To develop new fishing method for long line fishery, movements of the bait which was squid were tried to be characterized. In a water tank experiment, a live squid was hooked by a fish hook attached to a model long line. And then movements of squids in the water tank were recorded for 20 minutes by a video camera. Recorded movement of the squid was just periodically up-and-down moving, with a dominant frequency of 0.125Hz, and amplitude of 10.8cm.

        A notch beam test has been carried out for SFRC-SCC for precast slab tracks in accordance with BS-EN-14651. The steel fiber used is a product of Beckert, which is further processed with a general steel fiber and a steel fiber end(named as 3D, 5D).         In this study, the fiber blending ratio and strain rate effect on the tensile behavior of hybrid fiber reinforced cement composite was evaluated. Hooked steel fiber and polyvinyl alcohol fiber were used for reinforcing fiber. The fiber blending ratio of HSF+PVA were 1.5+0.5, 1.0+1.0 and 0.5+1.5vol.%. As a results, the tensile strength, strain capacity and fracture toughness of the hooked steel fiber reinforced cement composites were improved by the increase of the bond strength of the fiber and the matrix according to increase of strain rate. However, the tensile stress sharply decreased after the peak stress because of the decrease in the number of straightened pull-out fibers by micro cracks in the matrix around hooked steel fiber. On the other hand, PVA fiber showed cut-off fracture at strain rate 10-6/s with multiple cracks. However, at the strain rate 101/s, the multiple cracks and strain capacity were decreased because of the pull-out fracture of PVA fiber. The HSF1.5PVA0.5 shown the highest tensile strength because the PVA fiber suppressed the micro cracks in the matrix around the hooked steel fiber and improved the pull-out resistance of hooked steel fiber. Thus, DIF of strain capacity and fracture toughness of HSF1.5PVA were greatly improved. In addition, the synergistic response of fracture toughness was positive because the tensile stress was slowly decreased after the peak stress by improvement of the pull-out resistance of hooked steel fiber at strain rate 101/s

        본 연구에서는 유압식 급속재하 시험 장치를 제작하여 변형 속도에 따른 후크형 강섬유 및 폴리아미드 섬유보강 시멘트 복합체의 압축강도 및 인장강도 특성을 평가하였다. 그 결과, 변형 속도가 증가함에 따라 압축강도, 최대 응력 점에서의 변형 및 탄성계수는 증가하였으 며, 섬유 종류 및 혼입률은 변형 속도에 의한 압축강도의 영향은 크지 않았다. 본 연구에서 평가된 압축강도의 DIF는 CEB-FIP model code 2010 에 비해 상회하였으며, ACI-349의 예측값과 유사한 경향이 나타났다. 인장특성의 경우에도 변형 속도가 증가함에 따라 인장강도와 변형능력 이 크게 향상되었다. 후크형 강섬유보강 시멘트 복합체는 변형 속도가 증가함에 따라 섬유와 매트릭스의 부착력이 증가하는 것에 의해 인장강 도와 변형능력이 크게 향상되었으며, 섬유가 매트릭스로부터 인발되는 파괴 특성이 나타났다. 한편, 폴리아미드 섬유보강 시멘트 복합체의 경 우 섬유와 매트릭스의 부착력이 크기 때문에 섬유가 매트릭스로부터 인발되지 않고 끊어지는 파괴 특성이 나타났으며, 폴리아미드 섬유보강 시멘트 복합체의 인장특성에 대한 변형 속도 효과는 섬유의 인장강도에 큰 영향을 받는 것으로 판단되었다. 이러한 결과로부터 폴리아미드 섬 유보강 시멘트 복합체의 인장강도에 대한 변형 속도의 효과는 후크형 강섬유의 부착력에 대한 민감도 보다 큰 것으로 사료된다.

        This paper focuses on the experimental study for investigating the performance for lap splice of hooked or headed reinforcement in beam with different depths. In the experiment, seven specimens, with its variables as the lap length of headed or hooked bar, the existence of stirrups, etc., was manufactured. Bending test was conducted. Lap strengths by test were compared with the theoretical model based on KCI2012. The result showed that the cracks at failure mode occurred along the axial direction to a headed bar. The initial stiffness and the stiffness after initial crack were similar for all specimens. For HS series specimens without stirrups, a 25% increase in lap length was increased 11.8~18.1% maximum strengths. For HH series specimens without stirrups, a increase in lap length did not affect the maximum strengths because of the pryout failure of headed bar. For HS series specimens, the theoretical lap strengths based on KCI2012 considering the B grade lap and the reduction factor for stirrup were evaluated. They are smaller than the test strengths and can ensure the safety in terms of strength capacity. For HH series specimens, the stirrups in the lap zone are needed to prevent the pryout behaviour of headed bar.

        In this research, the experimental works were conducted to study the lap strength of the headed reinforcements with confinement provided by stirrups or tie-down bars. Eleven lap splice specimens were tested. The variables in this study were: confinement details and lap length. The initial crack of the specimens lapped developed at the heads of reinforcements. Bearing stress and confinement details contributed to increase strength and deformation.

        It is difficult to find a practical solution for the backward-motion control of a car-like mobile robot with n passive trailers. Unlike an omni-directional robot, a car-like mobile robot has nonholonomic constraints and limitations of the steering angle. For these reasons, the backward motion control problem of a car-like mobile robot with n passive trailers is not trivial. In spite of difficulties, backing up a trailer system is useful for parking control. In this study, we proposed a mechanical alteration which is connecting n passive trailers to the front bumper of a car to improve the backward motion control performance. Theoretical verification and simulations show that the backward-motion control of a general car with n passive trailers can be successfully carried out by using the proposed approach.

        링 형태의 강섬유 (Ring-type steel fibers: 이하 RSF)는 원형의 폐곡선 형태를 갖는 강섬유로서 선형강섬유와는 다른 저항 메카니즘을 가지며 폐곡선으로 둘러싸인 평면에 대하여 동일한 방향성을 가지는 특성을 갖는다. 이 연구에서는 섬유의 단위투입량 15kg/㎥과 30kg/㎥의 RSF 및 선형 강섬유를 혼입한 콘크리트 패널의 휨인성을 실험, 비교하였다. 파단면에서의 RSF의 저항 형태를 규명하였으며 RSF를 혼입한 패널이 선형 강섬유를 혼입한 패널에 비하여 우수한 인성값을 나타냄이 관찰되었다. RSF에 대한 방향성을 제시하였으며 RSF를 혼입한 실험체의 경우, 보 실험체에 비하여 두께가 상대적으로 얇은 패널 실험체에서 RSF가 더 효율적으로 인성 증가에 기여함이 관찰되었다.
