        This study conducted an empirical analysis of the effects of job characteristics on work-family conflict relation and quality of life, as well as moderating effects in accordance with operation type, by targeting 245 dietitian/cooks working for contract foodservice companies. The results of this study are as follows. First, the autonomy and feedback had negative (−) effects on work-family conflict while functional diversity had positive (+) effects on work-family conflict. Job identity and job importance had no relation with work-family conflict. Second, work-family conflict had negative (−) effects on job satisfaction, work-family relation, job support, general happiness, and job environment while having positive (+) effects on job stress. Third, in all paths except for the path with effects of work-family conflict on job stress, there were no differences between the group of shops operating 365 days and the group of shops operating 5 days a week. It would be helpful to the effective operation of human resources by emphasizing the necessity of differentiated management for companies with shops operating 365 days and shops operating 5 days a week, as well as managing employees’ job characteristic factors, work-family conflict, and even quality of life.

        The purpose of this study includes: Firstly, to examine the effects of procedural justice and job significance on value of work, psychological ownership, and job satisfaction. Secondly, to examine the mediating effect of the value of work, psychological ownership on the relationship between procedural justice, job significance and job satisfaction. For the study, the data was collected from convenient sample of 273 nurses at university hospital in a city to test theoretical model and its hypotheses. All data collected from the survey were analyzed using with SPSS 18.0 and AMOS 18.0. This study reports findings as followed: first, the relationship between the procedural justice and the value of work is positively related. Second, there was also a positive correlation between the procedural justice and the psychological ownership. Third, there was also a positive correlation between the job significance and the value of work. Fourth, the relationship between the job significance and the psychological ownership is positively related. Fifth, there was also a positive correlation between the value of work and the psychological ownership. Sixth, there was also a positive correlation between the procedural justice and the job satisfaction. Seventh, the relationship between the job significance and the job satisfaction is positively related. Eighth, there was also a positive correlation between the value of work and the job satisfaction. Ninth, there was also a positive correlation between the psychological ownership and the job satisfaction. Finally, the value of work and psychological ownership played as a partial mediator on the relationship between procedural justice and job satisfaction. Also, the value of work and psychological ownership played as a partial mediator on the relationship between job significance and job satisfaction. Based on these findings, the limitations of the study and some directions for future studies were presented.

        The purpose of this study is to analyze job stress factors of hospital workers, which has an effect on their turnover intention. For identifying the influences on turnover intention, types of hospitals (university hospital, general hospital, private hospital) and types of workers(office workers, technical workers, and nursing staffs) were categorized. We went to the hospitals and carried out the survey under the cooperation with the concerned hospitals. The period of survey was from 23. Sep. 2013 to 30. Oct. 2013, and 293 worker participated in the survey. On the basis of the previous study, the measurement of job stress factors and turnover intention was set up as the survey method, and its reliability and validity were measured. The stress factors were subdivided into seven factors; occupational climate, organizational system, autonomy job control, uncertainty of getting a new job, job ability to perform, job demand, job ambiance. The value of job stress factors by the measuring instrument, Cronbach’s Alpha, was 0.805 and the value of the subordination variable of turnover intention was 0.881. IBM SPSS Statistics 21 was used as the statistic analysis tool and the descriptive statistics about job stress factors. As a result, the turnover intention were analyzed depending on the types of hospitals, job groups, working years, and gender. Result shows that the job stress factors are differed according to the types of hospitals, and these job stress factors have influence on turnover intention. Therefore, it could be considered that, if the hospital managers find out the major job stress factors of their employees and resolve them in advance, the job stress of the hospital workers and their turnover intention can be reduced.

        The purpose of this study is to analyze the amount of job stress factors of hospital workers, which has an effect on their turnover intention. For identifying the influences on turnover intention, the workers at national and university hospitals in Daejeon fall into three categories- office workers, technical workers, and nursing staffs-, and the stress factors are subdivided into seven factors as job demand, job autonomy, relationship conflict, job security, organizational system, proper rewards, and corporate culture. The research method is built as a questionnaire for job stress and turnover intentions based on the existing researches and preliminary study, and 232 workers at national and university hospitals in Daejeon were surveyed. IBM SPSS Statistics21 was used as the static analysis tool and the descriptive statistics quantity about job stress factors and the turnover intention is analyzed depending on the types of hospitals, job groups, working years, and gender. The result shows that the job stress factors have similarities according to the types of hospitals and these job stress factors have influence on turnover intention. Therefore it could be considered that the hospital managers can find the major job stress factors of their employees and resolve their turnover intention in advance.

        The purposes of this study were to: 1) measure the levels of job satisfaction with five facets of a job: the work itself, promotion, pay, supervision and co-workers, 2) investigate the degree of job characteristics inventory which employees perceived, 3) investigate relationships between job characteristics and job satisfaction levels of the employees in hospital foodservice, 4) measure the levels of organizational commitment and investigate its relationships between job satisfaction and job characteristics, 5) investigate the relationships between job performance and job satisfaction, job characteristics of the employees in hospital foodservice. The questionnaire was developed based on modifying Job Descriptive Index developed by Smith, Kendall, Hulin and Job Characteristics Inventory developed by Sims, Szilagyi, Keller and Affective commitment Scale developed by Meyer and Allen. Subjects consisted of 76 employees in hospital foodservice. Data were analyzed for frequency, means, ANOVA, Duncan multiple range test, and pearson correlation using SAS PC Package. The results of this study were as follows. 1) Most of the respondents were 41 years up(39.5%) and married (92%). High school graduates were 59.2%. 10 years working experienced employees were 35%. 2) A majority of the respondents(44.7%) ranked work itself as the most important aspect. 3) They were the most satisfied with co-workers. 4) Satisfaction with work itself, wage, and supervision were found significantly related to age(p<0.05). 5) Task identify was the most prevalent job characteristics and then task identity. 6) Satisfaction with co-workers were found significantly related to job variety(p<0.05). Satisfaction with supervision and promotion were found significantly related to friendship(p<0.05). 7) Job satisfaction have not correlation with job performance. Satisfaction with supervision, co-workers were positively correlated with organizational commitment(p<0.01). 8) Job characteristics of dealing with others were positively correlated with job performance (p<0.05). Job characteristics of variety, autonomy, task identity were positively correlated with organizational commitment(p<0.05, p<0.01).

        Purpose - In endless competition, companies pursue cost reduction and work efficiency. So, entrepreneurs try to increase job intensity, which may lead to job stress and high turnovers because of job burnout. But, Information systems are acknowledged as a work support tool that secures work convenience and the productivity of employees. In this study, we aimed to confirm the effects of information systems in reduing the work overload of employees in a human resource intensive industry. Research design, data and methodology - This is based on the job demands-resources model, conducting an empirical analysis of surveys given to hospital employees working in a human resource intensive industry. Results - The research revealed that information systems reduced the work overload of employees in a human resource intensive industry. Conclusion - This study confirmed the effects of information systems as a job resource based on JD-R theory, and presentation of empirical results indicated that information systems alleviate employee job overload and increases job satisfaction in the medical services industry. In the medical services industry, using electronic health record system decreases in work overload, which results in employees gaining time for self-development and time management, reducing job stress, and leading to job satisfaction.
