본 연구에서는 2 016년부터 2 02 0년까지 내륙 관측소 중 안개 최다발 지역인 안동을 대상으로 XGBoost-DART 머신러닝 알고리즘을 이용하여 1 시간 후 안개 유무를 예측하였다. 기상자료, 농업관측자료, 추가 파생자료와 각 자료 를 오버 샘플링한 확장자료, 총 6개의 데이터 세트를 사용하였다. 목측으로 획득한 기상현상번호와 시정계 관측으로 측 정된 시정거리 자료를 각각 안개 유[1]무[0]로 이진 범주화하였다. 총 12개의 머신러닝 모델링 실험을 설계하였고, 안개 가 사회와 지역사회에 미치는 유해성을 고려하여 모델의 성능은 재현율과 AUC-ROC를 중심으로 평가하였다. 전체적으 로, 오버샘플링한 기상자료와 기상현상번호 기반의 예측 목표를 조합한 실험이 최고 성능을 보였다. 이 연구 결과는 머 신러닝 알고리즘을 활용한 안개 예측에 있어서, 목측으로 획득한 기상현상번호의 중요성을 암시한다.
2013년 여름철 집중관측기간(장마기간: 2013년 6월 20일-7월 7일, 집중호우기간: 2013년 7월 8일-30일) 동안 이동식 기상관측시스템의 레윈존데 관측 자료를 전 지구 통합예측시스템 3차원 자료동화에 이용하여 그 효과를 살펴보았다. 효과 분석을 위한 2가지 모의실험 중 규준실험은 기존 기상청 관측 자료만 사용한 것이고 관측시스템실험은 기상청 관측 자료에 이동식 기상관측시스템의 레윈존데 자료를 추가한 것이다. 장마기간 동안 두 실험의 500 hPa 지위고도, 850 hPa 기온, 300 hPa 풍속의 관측 및 분석검증 비교 결과 큰 차이를 보이지 않았는데, 이는 고정관측소의 레윈존데 자료(0000 UTC 및 1200 UTC)만을 기준으로 검증이 이루어졌기 때문이다. 하지만, 종관기상관측시스템의 시간별 누적 강수량 자료를 이용한 강수검증에 있어서 관측시스템실험의 평균 공정임계지수가 규준실험에 비해 2% 수준으로 개선된 결과를 보였다. 특히 강수검증에서 긍정적인 효과가 나타난 사례만 비교한 경우, 관측시스템실험의 평균 공정임계지수가 규준실험에 비해 41%까지 개선된 결과를 보여 이동식 기상관측시스템 레윈존데 관측 자료가 수치모델의 예측정확도 향상에 유용함을 알 수 있었다.
To examine the key success factors for long-lasting restaurants, we visited 10 restaurants with 30 or more than 30 years of tradition, located in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do districts, to research these restaurant menus and customer characteristics by observation and interview. The results were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The outstanding feature noted was that each and every restaurant had its own simple and specialized menu. We found that this feature created a virtuous circle that reinforced itself through a positive feedback loop. The simple and specialized menu increased both the cooking efficiency and food quality while it reduced both food and labor costs, this enabled the customers to eat at an affordable price and have generous servings. This lead to customer satisfaction and revisits to the restaurant, which triggered word-of-mouth referral and expansion of their customer base. This in turn created higher operating profit margins that could be reinvested in the business. The secret recipes for cooking, invented by their founders, were passed on from generation to generation. Their customer base included customers of all ages from children to senior people. And their regular customers consisted of neighboring office workers and families traveling from a long distance. We hope that our findings on long-lasting restaurants, especially of the virtuous cycle created due to the simple and specialized menus with secret recipes, will contribute to the development of Korean style long-lasting restaurant model.
The state-of-art third generation wave prediction model WAM was applied to the Korean seas for a winter monsoon period of January 1997. The wind field used in the present study is the global NSCAT-ERS/NCEP blended winds, which was further interpolated using a bi-cubic spline interpolator to fine grid limited area shallow water regime surrounding the Korean seas. To evaluate and investigate the accuracy of WAM, the hindcasted wave heights are compared with observed data from two shallow water buoys off Chil-Bal and Duk-Juk. A detailed study has been carried with the various meteorological parameters in observed buoy data and its inter-dependency on model computed wave fields was also investigated. The RMS error between the observation and model computed wave heights results to 0.489 for Chil-Bal and 0.417 for Duk-Juk. A similar comparison between the observation and interpolated winds off Duk-Juk show RMS error of 2.28 which suggest a good estimate for wave modelling studies.
This paper suggests a new observation model for Extended Kalman Filter based Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (EKF-SLAM). Since the EKF framework linearizes non-linear functions around the current estimate, the conventional line model has large linearization errors when a mobile robot locates faraway from its initial position. On the other hand, the model that we propose yields less linearization error with respect to the landmark position and thus suitable in a large-scale environment. To achieve it, we build up a three-dimensional space by adding a virtual axis to the robot’s two-dimensional coordinate system and extract a plane by using a detected line on the two-dimensional space and the virtual axis. Since Jacobian matrix with respect to the landmark position has small value, we can estimate the position of landmarks better than the conventional line model. The simulation results verify that the new model yields less linearization errors than the conventional line model.
Community facilities in most rural villages have many problems in the aspect of their size or functions as well as they are generally too superannuated to support diverse community activities; which results in a low degree of inhabitants' satisfaction with community facilities, and inconvenience for using them. Therefore, it may carefully be said that it's time to need the established studies that are necessary with consider to community facilities which can reflect inhabitants' diverse activities. In this study, 5 places which the most common events among the major monthly events of total 25 rural villages were held were selected as the subject place for survey; and then investigated, by means of the participant observation method, the using behavior of inhabitants who used community facilities. Focusing on size, factors, and layout that were being faced by community facilities in most rural villages, This study investigated the number of users, the characteristics of traffic line and behavior, and the using behavior by group; through considering their correlation with the physical setting of community space, it deduced the problems of use; and it proposed the direction of improvement on the basis thereof. Therefore, this study will serve in the future as useful basic materials for designing a rural village's community facilities in consideration of size, factors and layout which can appropriately support inhabitants' community activities.
