In commercial vehicles. the pulsation noise when the power steering operating is the major item to make the complain for users. If this noise have related to vibration characteristics in steering system's parts or assembly, it makes the problem in vehicle quality. Recently, the users demand the high quality in commercial vehicles, and we must identified the relevance between the pulsation noise and the vibration characteristics. After the identification, we can design the power steering system for satisfaction the user’s needs. Finally, the identification of relevance in pulsation noise for analysing the vibration characteristics will be suggested advanced power steering system.

Target strength (TS) information is an important parameter that estimates the detection, distribution, and abundance of Aurelia aurita. In order to investigate the biological TS of jellyfish, some factors such as size (bell diameter), tilt angle, pulsation, and symbion should be known. In the ex situ TS measurements, the tilt angles and pulsation from synchronized swimming behavior of four live A. aurita (bell diameters in the air: 54.2 ~ 94.2 mm) were measured with the acoustic data at 70 kHz. The reduced target strength (RTS) of A. aurita was found to change ranged from 13.4 ~ 16.5 dB according to the incidence angles from –30° to 24°. When the change rate of bell diameter in the water was 0.2, the TS value showed a 7.2 dB change. These results could be utilized as an important data to understand the acoustic characteristic scattering of A. aurita.

Fuel pump of a vehicle is a device to supply the fuel from fuel tank to engine. This study analyzed the pulsatility on the shape of fuel supply pipe using a CFD(Computational Fluid Dynamics). Numerical analysis was performed to use 3-dimensional incompressible k-ε turbulent model with measured pressure values at an exit by an experiment. Simulation models used commercial and improved model. In this study, the characteristics of the pulsatility reduced in improved model compared to those in commercial model. The pressure loss, which occurs at the flexure, was effective to pulsatile reduction. Commercial and improved model differed by numbers of flexure. The number of flexure between inlet and outlet decreased the difference of velocity and pressure. Therefore, the design of fuel supply pipe should be considered numbers and shape of flexure.

In this study, we examined a morningside Pi2 pulsation, with a non-substorm signature, that occurred in very quiet geomagnetic conditions (Kp = 0) at 05:38 UT on December 8, 2012, using data obtained by Van Allen Probes A and B (VAP-A and VAP-B, respectively) and at a ground station. Using 1 sec resolution vector magnetic field data, we measured the X-component of the pulsation from the Abu Simbel ground station (L = 1.07, LT = UT +2 hr, where LT represents local time) in Egypt. At the time of the Pi2 event, Abu Simbel and VAP-A (L = 3.3) were in the morning sector (07:38 LT and 07:59 MLT, respectively, where MLT represents magnetic local time), and VAP-B was in the postmidnight sector (04:18 MLT and L = 5.7). VAP-A and VAP-B observed oscillations in the compressional magnetic field component (Bz), which were in close agreement with the X-component measurements of the Pi2 pulsation that were made at Abu Simbel. The oscillations observed by the satellites and on the ground were in phase. Thus, we concluded that the observed morningside Pi2 pulsation was caused by the cavity resonance mode rather than by ionospheric current systems.
