        The short-grain rice cultivar Choochung with a rough rice moisture content of 21% was air-dried to equilibrate themoisture content to 15, 16, and 17%. After dehulling, brown rice was packaged for storage in laminated paper orLDPE/OPP plastic-film bags (10-kg size). After storage of the packaged rice kernels in plastic and paper bags at10, 15, and 20oC, the quality characteristics of the rice were evaluated weekly for 16 weeks. Serious losses in theinternal moisture content of the kernels were observed during storage in paper bags, regardless of the moisture con-tent of the kernels or the storage temperature. The plastic-film packaging was effective in maintaining the weightof the kernels for all treatments, but severe fat oxidation problems were encountered, especially when the initialmoisture content of the kernel was 17% and/or the storage temperature of the kernels was 20oC. Before two weeks,the fat acidity value of the kernels reached 20mL KOH/100g, a marginal limit for an acceptable taste of cookedrice. Based on this study, the recommended environment for the storage of brown rice for efficient economic storageof the kernels is an initial kernel moisture content of 16%, laminated plastic-film packaging, and a sub-refrigerationtemperature of 15oC.

        우리 해군은 함정 제품모델(Naval Ship Product Model, NSPM)을 중심으로 하는 협업 제품개발 환경 구축을 통해 설계 데이터의 재사용성과 M&S의 활용도를 높이고 있다. 그 결과 설계결과의 신뢰성이 높아지고 있으며, 이를 활용한 운영, 건조 시뮬레이션을 통해 소요군의 요구사항이 면밀히 반영되도록 하는 연구도 진행 중에 있다. 이에 따라 설계 데이터의 DB 구축 및 그 품질에 대한 중요성이 부각되고 있으나, 그와 관련된 연구는 초기상태에 머물러 있는 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 저자들의 선행연구 결과인 함정 제품모델의 품질검증 방법론에 기초하여 함정 제품모델을 구성하고 있는 형상요소의 구체적인 품질검증 방안과 이를 자동화하기 위한 연구를 수행하였다. 함정 제품모델 데이터 중 상대적으로 중요하며, 검증과정에 많은 시간이 소요되고 있는 선각모델을 사례연구 대상으로 정의하였으며, 자동차산업에서 사용되고 있는 제품데이터품질(Product Data Quality, PDQ)을 형상검증 기준으로 활용하였다. 최종적으로 선각모델의 형상 품질검증을 위한 기준과 알고리즘을 제안하였으며 이에 기반 한 초기 시스템을 개발하였다.

        As a eco-friendly material, Hwangtoh (red clay) has been studied for complete or partial replacement of portland cement consisted in concrete. In this research, the experimental works were conducted to study the initial quality control for the compressive strength of Hwangtoh concrete (24MPa) using the ultrasonic pulse velocity method and the impact echo method of nondestructive test methods.

        The purpose of this research was to investigate the efficiency of coagulants dose after backwashing. The turbidity of initial effluent was high after backwashing in the rapid sand filtration and the high turbidity was almost removed by coagulants dose into filter-sand after backwashing. It was found that the turbidity of initial effluent was well removed by all kinds of the coagulants used in this study. When filtration was performed input water with differentiated pH's, the turbidity of effluent was low at the range of pH 5 - pH 7. But the removal was not good about over pH 9. This result was considered into the existence forms of aluminium, Al(OH)2+ and Al(OH)2+ at pH 5. Cryptosporidiums of effluent were 4/ml for ten minutes immediately after back washing and 3/ml until sixty minutes. However, the case of coagulant dose after backwashing, Cryptosporidiums of effluent were 0.5/ml for ten minutes with no detection after twenty minutes.
