Expressing political stances is not rare among service providers such as taxi drivers and chefs. For instance, in 2021, a restaurant owner angry at the death of U.S. soldiers during the evacuation of Afghanistan posted a sign on the front door telling Biden supporters to eat elsewhere (Miller 2021). Given findings from research on brand activism, consumers can be expected to have less favorable attitudes toward service providers who are more politically different from them. However, if service providers who are politically opposite are more competent than ones who are politically identical, would consumers still choose politically identical but less competent service providers? To our knowledge, no research has been conducted to examine what factors influence consumers’ choices between more competent but politically opposite service providers and less competent but politically identical service providers. To fill that gap, in our research, we examined the role of consumers’ political ideology (i.e., conservative vs. liberal) in making trade-offs between more competent but politically opposite service providers and less competent but politically identical ones.
본 연구는 순수 면내모멘트를 발생시키는 선형적으로 변하는 수직응력을 받고 있는 단순지지된 마주보는 두 모서리와 자유경계를 가지는 직사각형 판의 자유진동과 좌굴의 엄밀해를 구하였다. 정현적으로 가정된 하중방향(x)으로의 변위함수는 단순지지 경계조건을 만족시키며, 평판을 지배하는 편미분 운동방정식 을 y 방향으로의 변계수를 갖는 상미분방정식으로 만든다. Frobenius법을 통하여, y방향으로의 멱급수를 가정하면 이 식을 엄밀하게 풀 수 있으며, 그 식의 합당한 계수를 구할 수 있다. 자유경계조건을 y=0과 b에 적용하면, 고유진동수와 임계좌굴모멘트를 구할 수 있는 4차의 특성행렬식이 만들어진다. 본 논문에서는 이 급수해의 수렴성이 면밀히 조사되었으며, 임계 좌굴모멘트의 수치결과와 모드형상이 주어진다. 상대적으로 정확도가 떨어지는 1차원적인 보 이론으로 구한 결과치와의 비교연구가 이루어진다. 또한 자유진동수와 모드형상 주어진다. 프와송비(v)의 변화에 따른 좌굴모멘트와 고유진동수의 변화가 도표로 주어진다.
Yeats's poetry and writings were a display of his passion for mysticism and the occult. This view on Yeats has been largely expressed in various publications. Many of Yeats's critics, including Ellmann, agree that the roots of Yeats's system are in Theosophy. The roots of Yeats's philosophy are in Theosophy, being a comprehensive, unifying systems of all occult tradition, and the first metaphysical system that Yeats encountered. Being faced with the dilemma between faith and disbelief, Yeats contacted numerous texts on the subject occultism and met Blavatsky, the founder of Theosophy society, claimed to have the ability to offer a
"synthesis" of religion, science, and philosophy. After many metaphysical conversations with her and many hours of long thought on the issue, Yeats took one of his first steps on his path of occult wisdom. Yeats's fascination with occultism and mysticism was so profound, and his need to create a unifying mythology so great, that he decided to develop an esoteric system of his own.
Thus, between 1917 and 1925, Yeats had written A Vision, an elaborate, complicated system that is of importance in understanding Yeats's works. The first version, published in 1925, was later revised, and final version was published in 1937.
In Book IV and V of A Vision Yeats had expounded the notion that history moves in great two-thousand-year cycles. This circle represents the moon and the twenty-eight phases of the moon which are closely related to the progression of time and world history. Yeats suggested all things are subject to a cycle of changes, which can be regarded as bi-polar, passing from a state of objectivity to one of subjectivity before returning to objectivity again. In this view he was strongly
influenced by the Theosophists, especially Blavatsky and the Kabbalists, who saw the law of periodicity as one of the fundamental and absolute laws of the universe.
Yeats believed that history was cyclic and that every 2,000 years a new cycle begins, which is the opposite of the cycle that has preceded it. In his poem "The Second Coming," the birth of Christ begins one cycle, which ends, as the poem ends, with a "rough beast," mysterious and menacing, who "slouches towards Bethlehem to be born."
Yeats's theory of the historical cycle is directly related to his belief in a universal duality -- the existence of opposite but equal forces that dominate a cycle alternately. This view is in accordance with the occult traditions which teach that the First Cause exhibits periodically different aspects of itself.
Yeats believed that kingdoms rise movement of history is an hour within the day of a large movement, and that all these cycles are caught within one all-inclusive "Great Year" which has a cosmic purpose. The Kabbalah says the alternation between judgement and mercy must be on equal terms. The germ finally goes back to its root principle, the Unity out of which everything proceeds.
열간압연된 형강은 수직재나 휨재 등으로 사용할 때 파이프나 덕트 등의 설비에 필요한 공간을 확보하기 위해 웨브에 개구부를 두기도 한다. 개구부를 갖는 형강의 웨브는 면내력을 받는 사각형 평판으로 고려하여 좌굴하중을 구하였다. 재하변은 단순지지로 하고 재하변은 직각인 변은 탄성지지단으로 보고 해석하였으며, 국부좌굴에 대한 보강을 위해 개구부 주위(하중 방향과 평행한 두변)에 보강재를 두어 단면 손실에 대한 좌굴하중의 감소를 보강하였다. 본 연구에서는 평판에 대한 고전적인 이론해와 유한요소에 의한 해석해를 비교하여, 해석에 대한 해의 정확성을 검증한 후 개구부의 크기, 보강재의 크기와 탄성지지단의 비틀림 상수의 변화에 대한 효과를 알아보았다. 그 결과 이론해와 해석해의 오차는 0.31%로 상당히 정밀한 해석해를 얻었으며, 비틀림 상수의 크기와 보강재의 크기에 따라 유공 보강판의 효과적인 개구부 크기를 결정하였다.
방사선치료 기법의 발전으로 치료가 더욱 정밀해졌음에도 불구하고 치료 부위 외에도 방사선에 의해 피폭되는 것은 피할 수 없다. 이에 본 연구에서는 유방암의 방사선치료 시 치료 반대편 유방의 bolus 두께에 따른 흡수선량을 평가하고 선량 저감 효과에 대해 분석하고자 하였다. 실험 및 방법으로 Rando phantom을 대상으로 VMAT 치료방법을 이용하여 실험을 진행하였다. 치료 반대편 유방에 A, B, C, D, E의 5개 지점을 선정하여 bolus를 사용하지 않았을 때와 5, 10, 15, 20 ㎜ 의 bolus를 사용하였을 때의 선량을 유리선량계를 사용해 평가하였다. 그 결과, 치료지점과 가장 가까운 지점에서 높은 흡수선량이 측정되었으며 치료지점과 가장 먼 B 지점에서는 가장 낮게 측정되었다. 평균 흡수선량은 bolus를 사용하지 않았을 때 8.61 cGy 그리고 두께에 따라 8.10, 7.94, 8.06, 8.10 cGy로 나타났다. 연구 결과 선량 저감 효과를 확인할 수 있었으며, 본 연구를 바탕으로 적절한 bolus 두께를 설정하여 정상조직의 선량 저감화를 위해 노력해야 할 것이다.
The metabolism of [14~textrmC ] ~textrmGA12 in the Chinese yam (Dioscorea opposita Thunb. var. Tsukune) was examined to determine the identification of endogenous gibberellins. [14~textrmC ] ~textrmGA12 was metabolized to ~textrmGA53 , ~textrmGA44 , ~textrmGA19 , ~textrmGA20 , ~textrmGA1 , ~textrmGA8 , ~textrmGA15 , ~textrmGA24 , ~textrmGA9 , ~textrmGA36 and ~textrmGA4 . Radioactivity of GAs in non C-13 hydroxylation route was five-fold higher than that of early C-13 hydroxylation in analyzed GA-metabolites. Radioactivity of ~textrmGA4 was always four times higher than that of ~textrmGA1 at every feeding time. ~textrmGA1 radioactivity has always a lower level to below 200 DPM. The major pathway of endogenous GA metabolism in seedlings of the Chinese yam might be the non C-13 hydroxylation pathway.
