Pleurotus eryngii, an edible white-rot fungus, is cultivated widespread in Eurasia, northern Africa and China. It occupies the second position in the world mushroom market. Despites the importance, the small numbers of studies have been done. To promote the availability of P. eryngii, it is important to know the genome and organization of the fungus. In this study, the whole genome sequence of P5 monokaryon from P. eryngii KNR2312 strain was sequenced using Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) strategy. Identified 222 SSR markers based on newly known genome information and various type of markers used to construct the map consisted of 12 linkage groups (LGs) spanning 1047.8 cM. Using composite interval mapping, 71 quantitative trait loci (QTL)s were identified on 12 linkage groups (LG) for nine traits such as yield, quality, cap color and earliness in four different populations. Clusters of more than five QTLs for various traits were identified on three genomic regions on LG 1, 7, and 9. The largest cluster was identified on LG 1 in the range from 65.4 to 110.4 cM. We performed the genes prediction analysis responsible for yield in the LG1 genomic region with highest logarithm of the odd (LOD) scores The identified genes were involved in biomass degradation and synthesis and signal transduction. However, the region was wide to identifie the genes crucial role in important trait, we need to narrow down. To improve the resolution of QTL mapping, we enlarge the populations crossing with additional 205 monokaryons. Find mapping of QTLs will increases the accuracy and efficiency of interpret the genomic region and enhance the usefulness of genomic information. Alterations affecting the status of robustness and health can bring about physiological changes including hematological parameters in pigs. To identify quantitative trait loci (QTL) associated with 8 hematological phenotypes (one leukocyte trait, six erythrocyte traits, and one platelet trait), we performed a genome-wide association study using the Porcine SNP 60K BeadChip in an intercross population between Landrace and Korean native pigs. A total of 36,740 SNPs from 816 F2 offspring were analysed for each blood related traits after filtering by quality control. Data were analysed genome-wide rapid association using the mixed model and regression (GRAMMAR) approach. A total of 257 significant SNPs (P<1.36x10-6) on SSC3, 6, 8, 13, and 17 were detected for blood related traits in this study. Interestingly, the genomic region between 17.9 and 130 Mb on SSC8 was found to be significantly associated with RBC, MCV, and MCH. Our results include 5 significant SNPs within five candidate genes (KIT, IL15, TXK, ARAP2, and ERG) for hematopoiesis. Further validation of these identified SNPs could give valuable information for understanding the variation of hematological traits in swine.

The objective of this study were to identify QTLs for agronomic traits using a set of introgression lines carrying wild rice (Oryza rufipogon) segment in cultivated rice (ssp. japonica cv. Hwaseongbyeo). Ninety-six ILs were evaluated for seven agronomic traits, amylose and protein contents. The proportion of the recurrent genome in ILs ranged from 87.8 to 100%, with an average of 96.7%. The mean number of homozygous and heterozygous donor segments were 2 (ranging 0-7) and 1.7 (ranging 0-6), respectively, and the majority of these segments had size less than 10 cM. A total of 22 quantitative trait loci were identified for 9 traits and each QTL explained 7.2% to 56.6% of the phenotypic variance. Some QTLs were clustered in a few chromosomal regions. A first cluster was located near RM527 on chromosome 6 with QTLs for culm length, panicle length, days to heading, 1000-grain weight and protein content. Three ILs with high spikelets per panicle compared to the recurrent parent were selected to detect and fine map the wild segments responsible for this variation. The results will be discussed.

Twenty two varieties of pecan including wild types were classified based on 6 characters measured by principal component analysis score distance. The results are summarized as fellow. Twenty two varieties were classified into 5 groups based in PCA score distance. Five groups were distinctly characterized by many morphological characters. Total variation could be explained by 51%, 95%, 99% with first, third and fifth principal components respectively. Varimax rotation of the factor loading of the first factors indicated that the first component was highly loaded with leaf characters, the second component with fruit characters, but fruit length was negative loaded. The second, the third and the fourths groups of cultivars had very close genetic parentage similarity.

The identification of quantitative trait loci (QTL) has the potential to enhance the efficiency of im- proving food processing traits of soybean. In this study, 92 restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) loci and two morphological markers (W1 and T) were used to identify QTL associated with food processing traits of soybean for sprout in 83 F2 -derived lines from a cross of 'Pureun' x 'Jinpum 2'. The genetic map consisted of 76 loci which covered about 760 cM and converged into 20 linkage groups. Eighteen markers remained unlinked. Phenotypic data were collected for hypocotyl length, abnormal seedling rate, and sprout yield seven days after seed germination at 20~circC . Based on the single-factor analysis of variance, eight independent markers were associated with hypocotyl length. Four of seven markers associated with abnormal seedling rate were identified as independent. Seven loci were associated with sprout yield. For three different traits, much of genetic variation was explained by the identified QTL in this population. Several RFLP markers in linkage group (LG) Bl were detected as being associated with three traits, providing a genetic explanation for the biological correlation of sprout yield with hypocotyl length (r=OA07***) and with abnormal seedling rate (r=-406***).
