본고는 기형도 시에 나타난 불안과 절망에 관하여 고찰하였다. Ⅱ ‘가족사의 결여와 불안의 태동’에서는 기형도 시에 나타난 가족사의 비극과 불안에 관하여 분석하였다. 기형도의 가족사적 비극은 크게 두 가지 맥락인데, 그것은 첫째, 가난이고, 둘째, 가족의 죽음이다. 기형도 시의 여러 곳에서 가난이 형상화되어 있고, 이 가난이 가족(누이)의 죽음과 결합될 때 기형도 시의 절망은 극대화하고 있었다. Ⅲ ‘질병의 인식과 불구적 사랑’에서는 기형도 시에 나타난 질병과 사랑을 분석하였다. 기형도 시에 나타난 질병은 자기 자신의 병과 연관되어 있다. 특히 자신의 질병은 절망 의식을 가속화시켜 그의 사랑을 불구적인 것으로 만들어 버리는 데에 원인을 제공하였다. Ⅳ ‘죽음의 예감과 절망의 극대화’에서는 기형도 시에 나타난 죽음의식에 관하여 분석하였다. 수시로 죽음을 예감하는 것은 그의 정서적 특징이다.

This paper discusses Ki Hyeong-do's poems. Ki Hyeong-do died young, but he is an important poet in the modern history of Korea. This paper studies the core of Ki Hyeong-do poetry, focusing on anxiety and despair. It looks at the followings: First, in ‘Lack of family history and beginning of anxiety,’ the study analyzes the tragedy of family history in Ki Hyeong-do's poems. The tragedies in Ki Hyeong-do's family history are poverty and death in his family. When poverty and death are combined, Ki Hyeong-do's despair grows even greater. In ‘Recognition of Diseases and Crippled Love,’ the study analyzes the disease and love in Ki Hyeong-do's poems. The disease and love in his poems contain tragedies. As the disease in his poems is related to his own, it particularly increases the sense of despair. In ‘Premonition of Death and Maximizing of Despair' the study analyzes the death in Ki Hyeong-do's poems. Ki Hyeong-do created many works about death. Ki Hyeong-do dies suddenly at a young age. This paper reveals that what lies at the core of Ki Hyeong-do's poems is anxiety and despair. I look forward to subsequent researchers exploring deeper.
