H2S adsorption characteristics of adsorbent made by drinking water treatment sludge were investigated. For analyses of the manufactured adsorbent, various methods such as scanning electron microscope(SEM), measurements of BET surface area were adopted. As the major adsorption characteristic, breakthrough curve was measured by using a continuous fixed bed adsorption column for operating variables such as aspect ratio(L/D, 3∼9), gas flow rate(0.2∼1.0 liter/min) and type of samples. The experimental results showed that the breakthrough pint decreased with increasing gas flow rate, but increased with increasing aspect ratio. It was also found that the physical and chemical treatments of drinking water treatment sludge are very important for the improvement in H2S adsorption capacity due to property changes of the sludge.

It was investigated the state information for the atmospheric conditions around Dang-jin industrial complex in Chungnam area may be polluted by the constructing steel industrial complex. It is aimed at characterization of the fine particulate matter and other air pollutants involved in it. Samples were collected two sites for monitoring point representing steel industrial complex and one site which is placed a remote and secluded from this industrial complex, and the concentration of PM10, heavy metals, and ion components were analyzed. As a results, PM10 average concentration was 64.6㎍/㎥ for the adjacent site before Hyundai Steel Company, 70.5㎍/㎥ in Bugok immigration settlement complex, and 56.5㎍/㎥ for Jeonggok-ri contrastive point. The distribution of heavy metals was detected as very low level for all sampling points. According to the result of statistical evaluation for the heavy metal analysis, variation range of Cu, Mn, Ca, Fe, and Mg were significant higher than others. Also, the seasonal concentration change trend of heavy metals was remarkable strong in spring and low in summer because of instable meteorological phenomena such as yellow dust happened in spring. Monthly changing pattern of a sulphate ion has kept unusually high level for summer period different other components. Relationship among PM10, heavy metal, and ion component were analyzed that high positive correlation coefficient for PM10 between Fe, Mn, Pb, Ca, Mg, Cd, Al in order and PM10 between NO3-, Cl- successively. Accordingly, it is suggested that a present atmospheric conditions of the surrounding area of Dang-jin steel industrial complex is considered to be good level. Although air pollutants in emissions from their complex were below the existing emission limit, it is regarded that the systematic and continuous research is needed to preserve clean air through atmospheric monitoring, source tracing research, and citizen's surveillance for the fine particulate matter.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate for performance of biochipfiltration phosphorus treatment process developed by ANT21 and to enhance phosphorus water quality standards to meet the optimum operation conditions of phosphorus treatment process are presented. Alum, FeCl3 as the coagulant used, each with a Jar-Test influent water quality and remaval efficiency of phosphorus treatment process when compared to water quality and removal efficiency of T-P are not a big difference, Alum in the removal efficiency and water quality was the most stable and high coagulant in the case of the removal of CODmn, SS, TN. Alum and Polymer processing efficiency when using the water quality was good and treatment water quality is CODmn 19 mg/L, SS 5 mg/L, TN 26 mg/L, T-P 0.135 mg/L less than water quality standards. If Alum is applied to the field, Alum injection amount per m3 influent unit is 24 g. During the field testing operation period, the influent has average COD mn 27 mg/L, SS 10 mg/L, T-N 22 mg/L, T-P 0.910 mg/L, and the final effluent has average CODmn 22 mg/L, SS 4 mg/L, T-N 20 mg/L, T-P 0.166 mg/L respectively. Average removal efficiency of each water quality item was CODmn 21%, SS 65%, T-N 8%, TP 82% and phosphorus treatment process is effective for the removal of SS and T-P but there is a limit to the removal of CODmn and T-N.

본 연구에서는 물리, 화학, 생물적 처리과정 중 서로 다른 용량의 퇴비가 농촌쓰레기처리공정에서의 수치를 검측하였다. 그 결과, 농촌쓰레기의 5‰ EM 해결시, 지렁이의 생장에 유익했고 34일이 지나면 예비 비료화가 되고, 35일에는 벌레가 자랐다. 5‰ EM 처리 샘플의 C/N비, NH4+-N농도, 활성화 우레아제, 섬유소와 삭카라아제는 다른 그룹보다 낮았지만 NO3-N 농도는 다른 그룹보다 선명하게 높았다.

From results of three components analysis about food waste, moisture content appeared high in order of school(89.1%), townhouse(64.9%), apartment(63.2%) and home(63.2%). And content of ash also appeared high in order of school(8.8%), townhouse(6.3%), apartment(5.4%) and home(4.2%). This is judged as cause of difference of moisture content according to emission-source, diversity of kind of cooked food and volume-rate disposal system which is not performed. Meanwhile, combustible content is 10.9~32.6% and it is the most highest in order of home, apartment, townhouse and school. And big difference of standard deviation of apartment and townhouse is judged as difference of homogeneity due to co-emission of food waste. In addition, Low heating value appeared high in order of home(1086.07 kcal/kg), apartment(1033.69 kcal/kg), townhouse (678.07 kcal/kg) and school(9.18 kcal/kg). And the reason that heating value of school is very low is error about simple formula which is applied when moisture content is more than 50%. And it can be confirmed that this is difficult in analysis of Low heating value of food waste.

본 논문은 음식물쓰레기의 퇴비화에 타당성을 위한 총론적인 논문이다, 또한 다양한 연구논문들을 조사함으로써 음식물 쓰레기의 퇴비화를 통해 얻어진 최종산물이 휘발성 유기화합물 및 냄새제거를 위한 바이오필터로서 적합성을 제고해 보고자 하였다. 우선 음식물쓰레기는 높은 유기물 함유량을 가지고 있어 퇴비화에 적합하지만 반면 높은 수분함량과 물리적으로 낮은 강도로 인해 퇴비화 과정을 어렵게 할 수 있다. 많은 연구자들에 의해 퇴비를 이용한 바이오필터링에 대한 연구가 진행중임에도 불구하고, 명확한 메커니즘의 규명이 되어 있지 않고 있으며 특히 음식물쓰레기에 대한 연구는 미비한 실정이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 특히 음식물쓰레기 퇴비의 바이오필터로서의 사용가능성에 대한 기본적이고 중요한 자료를 제공하고자 한다.

This study was carried out to investigate the performance of individual sewage treatment facilities with MBR(membrane bioreactor). After ratio of influent distribution of aerobic reactor to anoxic reactor from 4 : 6 to 7 : 3, the effluent quality is improved 5.3 mg/L as BOD, 3.8 mg/L as SS, 5.6 mg/L as T-N, and 1.6 mg/L as T-P, respectively. The removal efficiency rate of effluent increased upto 98% as BOD, 99% as SS 94%, as T-N as 93% and T-P, respectively. To maintain SS concentration of the effluent less than 1 mg/L, the washing and differential pressure of membrane management were required, the wasted activated sludge periodically discard to the sludge storage tank in order to meet standard criteria. The capacity of this individual facilities was overestimated, when low loading occur, an alternative is considered
