        Conventional airport concrete pavement design uses empirical design method presented by FAA but it is not accurate because it does not consider environment load. In case of mechanistic - empirical design method used overseas, it needs to be modified according to domestic conditions. In this paper, a stress regression model considering environmental load and dual tandem gear load is developed as a mechanical - empirical design process and verified by fatigue model calibration. First of all, literature review was conducted on airports using DT gear as a design aircraft among domestic airports, and the physical properties of concrete pavement layers of each airport were identified. In addition, the environmental load is divided into the temperature load and the moisture load, and the temperature load is calculated from the climatic data of the region where the domestic airport is located, and the moisture load is calculated through the drying shrinkage prediction model developed through the previous study. The stresses occurring in concrete slabs under environmental loads and traffic loads were predicted using FEAFAA, which is a finite element analysis program, and factors predicted to affect concrete pavement were selected for the stress regression.As a result of the sensitivity analysis of the selected factors, the joint spacing, slab thickness, gear load, and road bearing capacity coefficient affected the stress behavior of the slab by more than 5% of the reference stress.According to the mechanical design, the finite element analysis was carried out for the consideration of only the traffic load and the environmental load and the traffic load based on the design factors. Based on the analysis results, multiple regression analysis was performed using the statistical analysis program SPSS and the stress regression equation was calculated. Then, the stress model for the environmental load and the traffic load was calculated and the final stress model with each stress model as the independent variable was derived. Using the calculated stress regression model, the stress was calculated and the bending strength of the concrete was divided to calculate the stress - to - strength ratio, and the appropriate fatigue model was selected and the correction was performed by the least squares method.         In this study, the effect of dry shrinkage of concrete pavement due to seasonal changes was analyzed by comparing the results of finite element analysis with the temperature and strain measurements at Incheon airport pavement. To measure the behavior of slab by environmental condition in site, static strain gauges and thermometers were installed. To predict changes in the properties of concrete slab, experiments were conducted in site as well as in the lab. The considered parameters of FEA were pavement conditions according to seasonal and material properties change. The results of field measurements and the strain by FEA analysis were different in terms of the effects of drying shrinkage. This is due to humidity changes not applied to input values during FEA analysis. In this study, the difference between the results of field measurements and the results of the finite element model analysis was used to identify the drying shrinkage occurring on the concrete slab. Long-term data analysis in the future will enable the analysis of the trends in drying shrinkage in airport concrete pavement.         제주지역 방울다다기양배추 포장에서 발생하는 병해충에 대한 발생특성을 구명하기 위하여 2016 ~ 2017년(2개년) 7월(파종기)부터 이듬해 2월(수확기)까지 육안 관찰과 성페로몬 트랩을 이용하여 조사 하였다. 방울다다기양배추에 발생하는 병해충은 병해 5종, 해충 15종으로 총 20종이 조사되었으며, 주요 병해는 검은썩음병, 검은무늬병, 해충은 배추좀나방, 도둑나방, 배추흰나비, 양배추가루진딧물이었다. 성 페로몬 트랩을 이용하여 주요 나방류 발생시기를 조사한 결과 배추좀나방은 연중, 파밤나방과 담배거세미나방은 9월~11월에 주로 발생되었으며, 도둑나방은 성 페로몬 트랩에 의한 포획 개체수는 적었으나 피해는 심한 편이었다. 얻어진 결과를 활용하여 방울다다기양배추의 시기별 주요 병해충 발생 및 방제체계를 도식화하였다.

        귤애가루깍지벌레는 감귤의 주요 깍지벌레 중 하나로 시설재배에서 피해가 심하다. 귤애가루깍지벌레는 밀집하여 발생하는 특성을 갖고 있으며, 귤굴나방이나 잎말이나방류 피해 잎에 기생하고 있어 약제 방제가 어려운 원인이 되기도 한다. 제주지역의 친환경 감귤원을 대상으로 천적곤충과 병원성 미생물을 조사하였다. 천적곤충은 기생성 천척은 Anagyrus sp. 1종과 포식성 천적은 혹파리 일종인 Golanudiplosis japonicus와 꼬마남생이무당벌레 Propylea japonica, 무당벌레 Harmonia axyridis, 풀잠자리 Chrysoperla carnea, 호랑풀잠자리 Micromus sp. 5종이었다. Anagyrus sp. 성충을 황색끈끈이트랩으로 연중 시기별 발생양상을 조사한 결과 5월 하순~11월 상순까지 발생하였으며, 귤애가루 깍지벌레 1세대 기간 동안 2회의 발생성기가 나타났다. 그 외에 곤충병원성 곰팡이 일종인 Paecilomyces sp.가 확인되었 는데, 주로 장마철에 자연발생되고 있었다. 귤애가루깍지벌레 생물적 방제를 위해 수입 천적인 Cryptolaemus montrouzieri (상품명: 깍지무당벌레)를 농가에서 구입하여 활용하고 있다.

        The oriental fruit fly is a major polyphagous insect pest with a worldwide distribution. The effects of temperature on stage-specific development were investigated at eight constant temperatures (13.0, 14.4, 16.2, 19.5, 23.8, 27.7, 31.8 and 34.8℃). Stage-specific lower developmental thresholds and thermal constants were determined using linear regression. The lower and higher temperature threshold (TL and TH) were estimated using the Sharpe-Schoolfield-Ikemoto (SSI) model. The daily adult emergence frequency of B. dorsalis was estimated in relation to adult age and temperature. Thermal performance was compared among B. dorsalis populations from different locations in Taiwan.

        The Acoptolabrus changeonleei Ishikawa et Kim, 1983 (Coleoptera: Carabidae), has been listed as an endangered insect in South Korea. The complete mitochondrial genome of the species was 16,831 bp with a typical set of genes (13 protein-coding genes [PCGs], 2 rRNA genes, and 22 tRNA genes) and one non-coding region, with the arrangement identical to that observed in most insect genomes. Phylogenetic analyses with concatenated sequences of the 13 PCGs and 2 rRNA genes, using the Bayesian inference (BI) and maximum-likelihood (ML) methods, placed A. changeonleei as a sister to the within-subfamilial species Damaster mirabilissimus in Carabinae, with the highest nodal support by both analyses.

        We have analyzed the transcriptome of Scolopendra subspinipes mutilans using RNA sequencing and identified severalantimicrobial peptide candidates. Among the peptides, named scolopendrasins, were selected based on the physicochemicalproperties of antimicrobial peptides via an in silico analysis. As a result, we evaluated the antimicrobial activities ofscolopendrasins against Gram positive and negative bacteria including Candida albicans by radial diffusion assay and colonycount assay. We also investigated the cytotoxicity of scolopendrasins through hemolysis assay. We found that the actionof scolopendrasins involved binding to the surface of microorganisms via a specific interaction with lipopolysaccharides,lipoteichoic acid, and peptidoglycans, which are components of the bacterial membrane. These results will provide a basisfor developing therapeutic agents such as peptide antibiotics.

        The dynastid beetle Allomyrina dichotoma has been used as a herbal medicine. Recently, we performed de novo RNAsequencing of Allomyrina dichotoma and identified several antimicrobial peptide candidates based on in silico analysis.Among them, cationic antimicrobial peptide, Allomyrinasin, was selected and we assessed the anti-inflammatory activitiesof Allomyrinasin against mouse macrophage Raw264.7 cells. The results showed that Allomyrinasin decreased the nitricoxide production of the lipopolysaccharide-induced Raw264.7 cells. In addition, quantitative RT-PCR, ELISA and Westernblot analysis revealed that Allomyrinasin reduced cytokine expression levels in the Raw264.7 cells. Taken together, thesedata indicated that Allomyrinasin had anti-inflammatory activity in the lipopolysaccharide-induced Raw264.7 cells.

        Although the grasshopper Oxya chinensis sinuosa has long been used as a food in Korea, there is little data on itsfunctional effects. Thus we prepared and analyzed total RNA from the whole body of adult Escherichia coli non-immunizedand immunized Oxya chinensis sinuosa strains. Using an Illumina Hiseq sequencer, we generated a total of 66,555 pooledtranscriptome and singletons with and without Escherichia coli immunization, respectively. Then, we performed in silicoanalysis of the Oxya chinensis sinuosa transcriptome, using bioinformatics tools for screening putative antimicrobial peptides(AMPs) and 38 AMPs were finally selected and tested their antimicrobial activity of Gram positive, Gram negative bacteriaand antifungal activity with radial diffusion assay. As a result, 5 out of 38 AMPs showed the highest antimicrobial activityand antifungal activity against microbes and it also evidenced with no hemolytic activity.

        The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of the Allomyrina dichotoma larva (AD) on allergy and inflammation.We examined inhibitory effect of AD on allergic reactions in mast cells (RBL-2H3) activated by Compound 48 / 80and inflammatory response in macrophages (Raw 264.7) activated by LPS. Anti-allergy and anti-inflammatory actions ofAD water extract had no cytotoxicity. At these concentrations AD inhibited ẞ-hexosaminidase, tumor necrosis factor- α(TNF- α), interleukin-4 (IL-4), interleukin-6(IL-6) and cyclooxygenase-2(COX-2). AD also inhibited the expression of inducibleNO synthase (iNOS). AD reduced the release of inflammatory cytokines including IL-4, IL-6, TNF-α, and ẞ-hexosaminidase.These results suggest that AD may be potential anti-allergy and anti-inflammatory therapeutic agent.

        금속유기구조체(metal-organic framework)는 유기물와 무기물로 구성된 나노다공성 결정물질로서 일정한 세공 구 조를 가지고 있다. 합성시 유기 리간드의 다양한 선택이 가능함으로 인해 다양한 세공 사이즈와 물리적/화학적 성질들을 나 타내는 금속유기구조체가 가능하다. 이러한 특성들로 인해 다공성 금속유기구조체는 새로운 기체분리용 막 재료로 각광받고 있다. 그러나 고품질의 다결정 금속유기구조체막을 재조하는 것은 상당히 어려운 일인데, 이것은 지지체 표면에 금속유기구 조체 결정을 자라게 하는 것이 쉽지 않기 때문이다. 지난 이십여 년 동안 마이크로 전자파를 이용한 물질 합성에 대한 연구 가 상당히 진행되었는데 특히 마이크로 전자파를 이용하면 전통적인 합성법에 비해 금속유기구조체 분리막을 제조하는 과정 에서의 어려움들을 극복할 수 있다. 마이크로 전자파를 이용한 다결정 분리막 제조 공정은 단시간 합성, 복잡한 구조체 합성 및 나노 결정체 합성 등의 장점이 있다. 본 총설에서는 금속유기구조체 분리막 제조 및 기체 분리에 관한 최근 연구성과들을 살펴보고 특히 마이크로 전자파를 이용한 분리막 제조 공정을 중심으로 정리한다.

        The study aimed to evaluate the damage persistence during subsequent years in kiwifruit vines defoliated by strong wind such as typhoons. Artificial defoliation was treated on five-year-old ‘Jecy Gold’ kiwifruit vines grown in a plastic house in year 2013 and 2014 by applying four levels of defoliation, i.e., 0, 50, 75, and 100% in August 23, 2013 and 100% defoliation in July 28 and August 29, 2014, respectively. Return bloom and fruit quality were investigated in the following two years, 2014 and 2015. A significant reduction in number of flowers per shoot in the following year, 2014 was recorded for the vines with 50%, 75%, and 100% defoliations treated in 2013 compared to the control vines. The number of flowers per florescence was significantly reduced for defoliated vines. Nevertheless, the fruit quality parameters, i.e., fruit length, width, weight, firmness, TSS, acidity, and dry matter content were not significantly different for the defoliated vines compared to the control vines. The vines defoliated in 2013 at 75% and 100% levels showed a significant reduction of number of flower per inflorescence in 2015 compared to the 0% defoliation. However, the number of flowers per shoot and fruit quality were not significantly different. Also, the number of flowers per inflorescence in 2015 was significantly reduced by July 28, 2014 or August 29, 2014 defoliation compared to non-defoliated vines while the number of flowers per shoot, and fruit quality in 2015 were not significantly different between treatments and control vines. Accordance with the present findings, the flowering is considerably affected by the shortage of carbohydrate supply than the fruit quality of ‘Jecy Gold’ kiwifruit. In addition, the negative impacts of severe defoliation in flowering of ‘Jecy Gold’ kiwifruit might be persisted more than one season from the time of defoliation and consequently, the total yield might be reduced in the following seasons after defoliation.

        Bottom mushroom (Agaricus bisporus) is an edible basidiomycete mushroom in Europe and North America. The wheat straw, wheat brain and chicken manure were used for bottom mushroom cultivation. Bottom mushroom substrates for cultivation was collected from bottom mushroom farm in Buyeo. About 16 bacteria were isolated from fresh mushroom substrates on TSA medium. Among of the isolates, isolate 3HS12 possessed high cellulase and mannase activity was selected as a hydrolase-producing bacteria. The isolate 3HS12 was identified as members of the Bacillus subtilis by biochemical characteristics using Bacillus ID kit and VITEK 2 system. Comparative 16S rDNA gene sequence analysis showed that isolate 3HS12 formed a distinct phylogenetic tree within the genus Bacillus and was most closely related to Bacillus subtilis with 16S rDNA gene sequence similarity of 98.8%. On the basis of its physiological properties, biochemical characteristics and phylogenetic distinctiveness, the 3HS12 isolate was assigned to the Bacillus subtilis. The cellulase and mannase activity of Bacillus subtilis 3HS12 was increased according to the bacterial density at 40°C.
