        John Knox has been known as a Reformer of Scotland and studies on him have been mainly carried out in relation to John Calvin. Although there is no literal mention of ‘mission’ in his works, we can find that missiological concepts are abundant in his articles and letters. Firstly, the Scots Confession, which was drawn up under his influence in 1560, has an obvious missionary purpose. The preface and last sentence of the Scots Confession is to bear witness to the Gospel into all the nations. Secondly, Knox’s ecclesiology resembles that of John Calvin, with its particular emphasis on ‘ecclesiastical discipline’ for witnessing the Gospel. For him, the Church, which God raises up and fosters for His own purpose, is universal and ecumenical; the state, on the other hand, only exists as a means to protect and propagate the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Therefore, he advocates a theocracy in order to establish a ‘universal Christian fellowship’ within Scotland. He also advocates social reform and stresses the need for universal compulsory education including girls’ education. Finally, he strived to return the Bible back to the ordinary people from the ecclesiastical authorities, urged people to read the Bible everyday and do group study at least twice a week. This was to kindle a fire of the Gospel in Scotland. In this aspect, he should be called a ‘Scottish Reformer’ rather than a Reformer of Scotland. He was truly an ‘inland missionary of Scotland’.

        The developed network CAD system in this work has the sharing of functions, which consist of client and server. In recent years, distributed system has been applied to many industry to make a work cooperated. The developed system which consists of client and server as P2P type is implemented by COM/DCOM and CAD kernel technology to share the functions on network. Here, Requester is a client and provider is server. Developed system in this study is to share the functions among the systems with P2P structure. All systems which are linked on local network can use the functions of the other systems. The important things to construct this kind of distributed CAD system are transferring the 3D model data and accessing the location of providers. This system can perform many operations by using other systems multiply. Some of the operations performed and tested by the developed CAD system are Boolean operation, getting properties, triangulation and tessellation.

        경상북도 포항분지에 분포하는 제3계 육성층인 장기층군의 금광동층에서 산출된 메타세콰이아 화석에 대하여 고식물학적인 연구가 수행되었다. 연구 결과 낙지성(落枝性) 단지(短枝)의 화석은 대부분 Metasequoia occidentalis의 단일종에 속한다. 이 종은 하연(下延)하는 대생(對生)의 잎과 잎자루의 기부에 인편(鱗片) 갖는 특징이 있다. 이 종은 우리나라의 제3기 마이오세 식물군의 전역에서 공통적으로 많이 산출되지만, 마이오세 이후부터는 우리나라에서 화석 기록이 나타나지 않는다. 현생종의 분포와 생태로부터 판단하면, 화석 메타세콰이아는 포항 분지 주변의 수분 조건이 충분한 하천의 범람원에서 습지림을 이루었을 것으로 추정된다.

        Christian Education and theological education in the secular age has to change their traditional framework. Theological Education which regards and addresses secularization as a negative phenomenon cannot properly serve the contemporary pluralistic society. The traditional understanding of both Christian Education and Theological Education is that they serve as the “light“ of world. The traditional position of theological education in the West is that education should serve as a light that brightens the dark world with the Christian spirit. Theology was considered the most superior discipline which lit the world from its ivory tower. There is the position of Christian and Theological Education as the “salt“ which purifies the secular things of the world as well as the secular aspects which have penetrated Christianity through the process of secularization. This is the position maintained by the school of fundamental Christian and Theological Education which is against secularization. The problem of this position is that, according to the dualistic world-view, the church is not willing to go into the world but attempts to purify the world and bring it into the church. Thus it does not complete the secularization of Jesus Christ who was incarnated to come and serve the world. As such, Christian Education and Theological Education has to play the role of “leaven“ in the world just as the Church has to be the leaven of the world. Education should be like leaven which spreads the Christian spirit and the Gospel by changing the world in the pluralistic fields of mission of the secular age. For this kind of education, Christian Education and Theological Education need to become concrete and practical to befit contemporary pluralism, and further to be changed into mission-oriented education. In this sense, I would like to propose the reform of Theological Education focusing on practical Biblical Theology, practical Church History, practical Systematic theology and missional Practical Theology.

        SPS(Spark Plasma Sintering ) is known to be an excellent sintering method for porous materials. In the present work an attempt has been made of fabricating porous 316L Stainless steel with good mechanical properties by using controlled SPS process Porosity was 21%~53% at sintering temperature of ~100 The limit of porosity with available mechanical strength was 30% at given experimental conditions. Porosity can be controlled by manipulating the intial height of the compact by means of the supporter and punch length. The applied pressure can be exerted entirely upon the supporter, giving no influence on the specimen. The specimen is then able to be sintered pressurelessly. In this case porosity could be controlled from 38 to 45% with good mechanical strength at sintering temperature of 90. As the holding time increased, neck between the particles grew progressively, but shrinkage of the specimen did not occur, implying that the porosity remained constant during the whole sintering process.

        의료영상 시스템을 통해 볼 수 있는 모든 X-선 영상은 피사체 본래의 특성만이 표현된 영상이 아닌 그 영상 시스템 고유의 특성이 반영된 영상이라 할 수 있다. 영상화질에서 시스템에 의한 열화는 시스템응답함수인 변 조전달 함수(modulation transfer function; MTF)로 설명되며 잡음력 스펙트럼(noise power spectrum; NPS) 으로 설명할 수 있다. 이 때, 열화된 영상은 영상시스템의 MTF와 NPS를 정확하게 측정함으로써 그 시스템의 특성에 따라 설계된 필터에 의해 원영상에 가깝게 복원(restoration)될 수 있다. 본 논문에서는, 영상복원 시뮬 레이션을 통해 기존의 직접 역필터링(direct-inverse filtering), 제한된 역필터링(limited-inverse filtering), 위너 필터링(Wiener filtering) 기법을 바탕으로 열화된 영상을 원 영상에 가깝도록 복원하고 복원영상의 화질 을 정량적으로 평가하였다.

        비산란 그리드는 X선 영상에서 산란방사선을 제거시키기 위해 사용되고, 그에 따라 X선 영상의 대조도를 향 상 시킬 수 있다. 그러나 많은 경우 디지털 X선 영상에서는 그리드의 부적절한 샘플링으로 인해 moiré artifact 를 발생 시키게 된다. 본 논문에서는 그리드 주파수, pixel pitch, 각도와 moiré artifact의 상관관계에 관하여 분석하고 실험으로 확인하였다. 실험을 위하여 4..0 - 8.5 까지의 6가지 탄소 그리드를 사용하여 139 μm x 139 μm pixel size의 DDR system에서 실험을 하였다. 본 실험을 통하여 획득한 moiré artifact의 frequency는 이론적 계산값과 거의 같았고, 특히 그리드와 detector array의 각도에 따라 moiré frequency가 달라지는 것을 확인 할 수 있었다. 본 연구를 통한 moiré artifact에 대한 이론과 data는 향후 DR system에서 moiré artifact 제거에 큰 도움을 주리라 생각한다.
