        The purpose of this study is to examine the differences of use behavior and environmental perception of a park and to analyze the influence of environmental perception factors on park satisfaction among 7 parks in Suseong-gu, Daegu. The data from the 255 questionnaires of young adults (30-59) and old adults (more than 60) who use the park more than once a week were used for the analysis. In terms of park use behavior, young adults used the park for walking and jogging mainly on weekday evenings, while old adults used the park for walking and rest mainly during weekday daytimes. In addition, old adults used the park more times a week than young adults, and spent more time in the park. In the analysis of the environmental perception of the park, similar results were found in both age groups but overall, old adults were more satisfied with the park environment than the young adults. As a result of analyzing the influence of environmental perception factors, it was determined that park satisfaction in young adults has a significant influence on 'use amenity', 'use convenience', 'facility suitability', and 'landscape diversity' in this order. On the other hand, park satisfaction for old adults has an influence on 'use amenity', 'facility suitability', and 'use convenience' in this order. The findings of this study can be used as an effective basic data for future park planning considering age groups.

        The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of perceived walking environment around neighborhood on satisfaction for old adults in Daegu. The study was conducted using 407 questionnaires were collected through the survey. The walking environment was categorized into accessibility to neighborhood walking facilities and walking environment around path. Regarding perception of walking accessibility, access to ‘public transit stops’ and to ‘medical facilities’ was relatively high. For walking environment, ‘pavement condition’, ‘continuity of sidewalk’, and ‘slope of sidewalk’ were rated relatively high. Multiple regression analysis after factor analysis of walking environment variables showed that religious and convenient facilities, park and leisure facilities, and medical and welfare facilities had a significant effect on satisfaction in walking accessibility. For walking environment the convenience for walking, safety for walking, and amenities for walking had a significant effect on satisfaction. The findings from this study can be used for improving the walking environment for old adults.

        Preflex (PF) composite girder is one that the prestressed force are readily applied to the steel beam and concrete is then cast to the steel beam, so that the elastic force of steel girder introduces prestressing effect to the steel-concrete composite girder. The major advantage of PF composite girders is to reduce the height of section. This study proposes a new Represtressed Preflex Composite Girder(RPF) composite girder that minimizes the amount of steel beam utilizing a temporary steel beam. The proposed RPF girder introduces the preflex effect to the full composite action between main steel beam and temporary beam. As a part of this study, finite element model has been developed and parametric studies are conducted to further investigate the characteristics of the proposed girder.

        Over the past few decades, many scientists and environmental activists emphasized the importance of sustainable society and warned the global warming. As one of efforts to achieve the sustainable society and maintain no more of global warming, the RDF (Refuse Derived Fuel) production from domestic solid is taken into account seriously in Daejeon, Korea. Currently, the pay per throw system is active from 1995 and is quite stabilized. Recyclable wastes such as metal scraps, glass, papers, and fibers like clothes should be discarded separately and not be mixed with other types of waste being disposed of eventually. To assess the potential for the conversion of domestic solid waste into a heat source, i.e., RDF, the proximate analysis, the classification into 10 components, and the calculation of heat value based on the result of the elemental analysis were performed. Based on the preceding analysis, the domestic solid waste produced daily in Daejeon, Korea has a potential for conversion into an alternative energy source, RDF in technical aspect. Proper blending of combustibles, however, is necessary to enhance the heating value of RDF being produced and to be more viable in economic aspect.

        본 연구는 국내 습지보전 계획수립에 대한 기초자료 제공에 그 목적이 있다. 연구결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 안심습지에 분포하는 관속식물상은 57과 155속 179종 22변종 등 총 201 분류군이 요약되었다. 산림청 지정 희귀 및 멸종위기식물은 자라풀이었다. 습지식물의 경우 정수식물은 애기부들, 개피, 줄, 갈대, 고마리, 미나리, 물칭개나물, 침수식물은 말즘, 나사말, 검정말, 붕어마름, 물수세미로 나타났다. 그리고 부엽식물은 가래, 자라풀, 연꽃, 노랑어리연꽃, 부유식물은 생이가래, 개구리밥, 좀개구리밥으로 확인되었다. 귀화식물은 메귀리, 오리새, 소리쟁이, 묵밭소리쟁이, 털비름, 다닥냉이, 말냉이, 나도재쑥, 개소시랑개비, 벳지, 아까시나무, 족제비싸리, 토끼풀, 자주개자리, 가죽나무, 애기땅빈대, 큰달맞이꽃, 둥근잎유홍초, 둥근잎나팔꽃, 까마중, 큰개불알풀, 뚱딴지, 돼지풀, 도꼬마리, 개망초, 망초, 큰망초, 개쑥갓, 미국가막사리, 만수국아재비, 서양민들레, 붉은씨서양민들레, 방가지똥 등 총 33분류군이었다.

        것대산에는 79과 199속 266종 35변종 5품종 등 총 306분류군의 식물이 조사되었다. 남사면부에는 붉은병꽃나무, 참빗살나무, 황새냉이, 붉나무, 때죽나무, 작살나무, 길마가지나무, 올괴불나무 등이, 북사면의 경우 아까시나무, 떡갈나무, 밤나무, 갈참나무, 뽕나무, 생강나무, 회잎나무, 노린재나무, 미나리아재비, 점나도나물, 세잎양지꽃이 조사되었다. 성상별 분포의 경우 교목류는 굴참나무, 가죽나무 등 27분류군, 아교목류는 오리나무, 산뽕나무 등 29분류군, 관목류은 싸리, 개암나무 등 47분류군, 초본류는 각시붓꽃, 대사초 등 173분류군, 덩굴류는 인동, 청미래덩굴 등 30분류군으로 조사되었다. 한국특산식물은 호랑버들 등 7분류군이 조사되었고 귀화식물은 오리새 등 총 16분류군이었다. 자연파괴도와 귀화율은 약 6.0%, 5.2%로 분석되었다. 식물구계학적 특정식물은 승마, 물박달나무, 붉은병꽃나무, 홀아비꽃대 등 26분류군이었다.

        본 조사는 진해시 일대에 분포하는 식물상을 체계적으로 조사 및 분석함으로써 환경보전의 기초자료 제공과 더불어 자원식물적 접근을 통해 차후 생물자원 확보 방안 마련을 위한 틀을 제시하기 위한 것이다. 장복산, 안민고개, 화산 일대에 분포하는 전체 식물현황은 98과 286속 394종 49변종 4품종 등 447분류군이 관찰되었다. 지역별로는 장복산이 80과 210속 261종 35변종 4품종 등 300분류군, 안민고개가 66과 152속 178종 27변종 1품종 등 206분류군, 화산 일대가 90과 232속 294종 34변종 3품종 등 331분류군이 조사되었다. 한국특산식물은 뻐꾹나리, 호랑버들, 소사나무, 가는장구채, 할미밀망, 자주꿩의다리, 매화말발도리, 조팝나무, 해변싸리, 개나리, 병꽃나무 등 10과 11속 10종 1품종 등 11분류군이 확인되었다. 산림청 지정 희귀식물은 보존순위 97번인 뻐꾹나리와 202번인 태백제비꽃이 화산 일대 계곡에서 발견되었으며, 이에 대한 보전대책이 필요할 것이다. 귀화식물은 오리새, 애기수영, 소리쟁이, 방가지똥, 서양민들레, 토끼풀 등 11과 18속 21종 1변종 등 22분류군이 확인되었고 자연파괴도는 약 8.3%, 귀화율은 약 4.9%로 산출되었다. 자원식물 분포를 살펴보면, 장복산 일대는 관상용 147종, 약용 218종, 식용 182종, 기타용 151종이고 안민고개는 관상용 91종, 약용 155종, 식용 129종, 기타용 100종으로 나타났으며, 화산 일대는 관상용 167종, 약용 236종, 식용 195종, 기타용 155종이었다.

        The purpose of this study is to evaluate the water pollution degree in the Mid-Nakdong River watershed regarding to landcover types using GIS method. As a result of landcover classification, rate of urban appeared highly on Daegu Metropolitan city. Also, rate of agriculture showed highly in the riparian zones of the Nakdong and Guemho River and rate of forest appeared highly in the borders of the study area. To identify the groups of watershed with similar landcover patterns using the Cluster Analysis. According to the cluster analysis, the fifty sub-watersheds were grouped in three clusters, "Urban watershed", "Agriculture watershed", "Forest watershed". The proportion of urban area in each cluster had a positive correlation with water pollution degree. Otherwise, the proportion of agriculture in the Agriculture watershed had a high positive correlation with water pollution degree. Therefore, it is necessary to estimate environmental capacity of water quality considering ecological and environmental characteristics of watershed ecosystem and expand water quality monitoring systems to small stream.
